It's crazy, I live in the US and our "junk" food is a LOT cheaper than "healthy" food, so a lot of people with low income struggle with eating healthy for this reason. It's cheaper to buy a family size frozen pizza than it is to buy a variety of ingredients to cook a meal for a family.

That's sooo weird! But I do remember junk food being rather cheap when I lived in the US, too. That's really sad, tbh. In Germany, I pay double of what I usually spend on groceries if I just add a bar of chocolate, bag of chips and some gummy bears. It's insane! But obviously, it has some benefits like encouraging people to eat balanced.

I’m so happy for you! Binge eating can be a hard thing to get out of. It’s really weird, I’ve been struggling with binge eating and anorexia for a long time, a couple years ago I overcame anorexia but my binging was so bad and I kinda relapsed and it turned into bulimia... argh! I’ve been trying to recover again for about a year now but keep relapsing. But about a month ago, it was so strange, but overnight for no apparent reason I just don’t feel the urge to binge or purge or restrict or really overthink what I’m eating at all :/ I eat completely normal and even my relationship with food is normal? I don’t really think about it at all? After struggling for so long it can’t be that simple?? Its such a weird feeling? It’s strange, maybe it’ll be short lived but for now it’s great! So strange it just happened overnight tho

That's not strange at all, for me it was very similar! I binged for around two weeks (well, on and off for around a year) during Christmas and then, all of a sudden, my body decided it was enough and I could go back to eating normal portion sizes. Crazy! But I think our bodies are smarter than us, so from now on, I'll always go with what it's craving/telling me. All the best to you! xx

Good for you for learning to incorporate a little “junk food” into every day life! I know it’s hard. I’m doing the same thing. It’s also hard when we feel like we have a binge eating Problem. I remember I even read the book Brain over Binge, because I thought my problem with binging was so bad!
From my research I’ve learned that in eating disorder recovery there is extreme hunger. But also with out restrictions or compensation binging doesn’t happen, that is if your extreme hunger has past. One exception is if you really do have binge eating disorder, which take neural requiring to recover.
Don’t beat yourself up though if you do get a period of extreme hunger. Just recognize what it is and honor it. Normal eating is the natural result of honoring your hunger. Recovery eating is not forever unless we continue to restrict. Tabitha Farrar on TH-cam is amazing and Follow the Intuition.

Glad to hear I'm not alone (well, it's also kind of sad because binging sucks)! :/ Much love and strength xx

There a small packets of chips!

True, but I don't like buying them as they're more expensive and also kind of unfriendly to the environment... I did buy them when I had really bad binge phases, but that never stopped me from eating more! So in my opinion it's not about the size of the bag, but rather your mind set around food that needs to be sorted out.
