I have been doing this meditation for 6 days out of 30 now (building a new habit) and I'm feeling a lot more calm and grounded in myself. Before I started last week, I was an anxious mess and would wake up with a knot in my stomach and have nightmares. Now I look forward to meditating every morning. I thought I'd share some entries from my journal.
    Day 6/30 23rd feb 2024
Today I decided to focus on the things that I’m grateful for in the present moment.
I am grateful for having a family where everyone is healthy and alive.
I am grateful for the knowledge and wisdom that I have.
I am grateful for the body that keeps me alive and well.

@@sammietjes nothing in here indicates addiction. Altough there is a chance offcourse. If you said you felt depressed for years. And you just had a drink. That does not implicate addiction. It is possible the person drink everyday. But it is also possible that the person drank just today.

My cat interrupted about halfway through and I was able to gently push her out of my conscious attention. When I was at the end of the meditation and opened my eyes.. there she was about a foot away staring intently at me, quietly and patiently. So cute!

Mindfulness inspired me to create my own channel - to gently remind people to stay in the present.
I started deeply looking into meditation as someone who struggles with a constantly wandering mind since early university days. Some days are easy but most days are incredibly hard to be present constantly, especially as a student. Calm's audio on meditation has genuinely helped me become a better person and more importantly actively try to be a mindful person.
Days are not easy but its the littles steps consistently that count!

Remember, it's okay to take some time for yourself and just breathe. We all have busy lives and it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, but it's important to take a step back and find some inner peace. This meditation was a great reminder to do just that. Keep taking care of yourself, and know that everything will be okay. You have all the power within! Sending love and positive energy your way! 🙏☀

This was incredible. I started crying at the profound beauty of the present moment. It’s refreshing to let go of the past because there is no use holding onto something that you really cannot change. It’s beautiful how much power we have in the present. Nothing else is worth your time or energy. Beautiful.
