30 years old. Lost 8 years of my life surrendering to mental illness then to substance addiction. Have cut back on addictions a lot, but am withdrawing from extreme stimulation, namely dopamine. I have been zoning out a lot even being socially awkward because my brain chemistry is readjusting. I gotta do this, gotta change and become the person to have the life I want. We all here are worth that.
I did this just now for first time. First few minutes were boring, middle few minutes agonizing thoughts of toxic self defeat and bitter sadness, last few were serenity and hope. I'm a man who never cries and I honestly feel like it right now.

The scripture interpretation is helpful. Thank you, and I'm sorry for your situation, and trust that you are well through it by now! Also, I'm encouraged, oddly enough, that you say, ".... and depressed for the last few weeks". I've been experiencing that type of feeling for the last few years - and look forward to my upcoming season, when I can look back on it and realize that "it too, passed". In an unusual way, it is almost helpful to hear a reference to a short time frame.

When I always talk about myself I forget there is 8 billion people I’m in the world that are redirecting & learning just how I am to come to living in the present & loving themselves . Like others I rush myself when I talk & think that the first thing I say is probably the best to get it over with but want I really want is to be understood . Without my own judgement . I intend to keep practicing with speaking from my heart.

Even though we may never meet I just wanted to let everyone know that no matter how many times you fail in life what matters is you keep going if you want to succeed. A wise man once taught me that failing and quitting are two very DIFFERENT things. If we just hang in there in this dog eat dog world and never let the negative opinions that we think or others might think we’ve already won half the battle. I wish everyone out who has struggled with anxiety, irritability, adhd, anger, and any other type of mental obstacles and illnesses that may seem unbearable and impossible to defeat the best of luck and that I love and appreciate any and everyone who struggles everyday just like myself. I know it sounds cliché but please keep hanging in there and don’t give up it’s the grinding out and the grit that leads to the determination of breaking through the many obstacles and challenge’s in life. Even the battles within ourselves.

I couldn't put her in the facility because of the constant locking in to our seniors. Meditation is the key to the best way of processing grief. I love the daily calm app. Tamara Levitt is so awesome. She is more than just a meditative guru. She must also be a therapist/counselor, because she helps me immensely in that area, and not just mindfulness. If you haven't already downloaded the app and purchased the subscription that unlocks everything, you should. It's life reaffirming.I highly recommend it.

As bad as today was, the tomorrows are aways better. Even your most intense mood is not stationary and you will be surprised how quickly it will change. That's how powerful they seem. Pay attention to this, make note of it, then remind yourself the next time you're out of sorts.

I have attempted to meditate many times in my life and prior to this CD the only success I've experienced is with live guided meditation. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxzpa8CIfZcihW4Z0F_ja0QF3W9KIatrsq This is the first CD I've used that cuts through my unmedicated ADHD and enables me to truly relax and experience a quiet and energizing interval. The instructors voice is very soothing and pleasant to listen to. I am easily able to sit successfully through the entire CD, and for quite some time after. I cannot adequately express how tremendously helpful this CD has been on my spiritual journey!! Two thumbs up and 10 stars!

One of the crucial things I learn through mindfulness is that there is no personal self.
The self is only a collection of thoughts, ideas, and personal opinions.
And when you take those away, all you have left is consciousness.
Pure, everlasting consciousness, full of love and joy. It is the nucleus of there here and now.

Yes the theme is v.apt. I am having a hard time with relationships, with a girl I met. Previously she used to take initiative asking me out. I did the same, by asking her out for movie. But lately, when I text her, I don't get a text from her back. I don't know if I should blame her or blame myself. But I remind myself, it is either both party at fault, or none at fault. Change always happen, we need to adapt and give each other space. Find silence and let it go. I am v.glad to found this mediation video
