Love your videos. FYI at 7:27 the Galaga mistake was because in the script they were playing Asteroids Deluxe and the dialog went to that game. When shooting the film they couldn't obtain an Asteroids Deluxe so they went with a Galaga instead and just kept the same script dialog without changing it. Only arcade nerds would know. Right?
Hey, if you guys enjoyed _Spring Break_ (like I did, after watching this vid) then it's also worth checking out _The Malibu Bikini Shop_ (from '86-ish, I think) It has similar good fun vibes, not a mean bone in its body! :) (also _Aloha Summer_ is pretty nice too + I found it uploaded onto YT, so you can search 4 it - It stars Chris Makepeace - who was Bill Murrays little mate in _Meatballs_ )
I remember "Unsolved Mysteries" doing an entire segment on Ms. Leppert. Apparently after "Spring Break", she got a role in "Scarface" and during the filming of a very violent scene, she flipped out and became hysterical. So much so that Brian DePalma and Oliver Stone had to recast her part and fly her home. A few weeks later is when she went missing. It was theorized at the time that during the filming of "Spring Break", she witnessed a drug deal that went bad and the "Scarface" scene triggered that memory and she became paranoid that those individuals would come after her.
I believe that she must have been one of the suspected victims of American Serial Killer Christopher Wilder because he was active in the 1980s and possibly much earlier but than again that's just my theory.
8:03 When I was in college I was told if you drink a beer, eat a banana and drink another beer you will die. Our biology professor was unable to confirm or refute the claim.
Always loved the charm of this movie. It so reminded me of my class trips in high school for both spring break and end of year/senior trips, esp since we always went to Florida.
1982 Penthouse Pet Of The Year Corinne Alphen plays the singer. Also at the T-shirt contest, you can briefly see her successor, 1983 Penthouse Pet Of The Year, Sheila Kennedy.
Susie is played by Jayne Modean, who had guest spots on Cheers and other tv shows. She was also a popular teen model in the late 70's and early 80's appearing in ads for Noxzema and Maybelline as well as the covers of Seventeen magazine and was on the cover of the first swimsuit issue of Inside Sports.
The 80's were a golden age for American film, especially the straight to video movies. They made everything American look so cool, and anything seem possible.
Here's a couple of great little cornball 80s beach movies I found while surfing on YT :D *The Malibu Bikini Shop* from 86 th-cam.com/video/edsmakZYkv0/w-d-xo.html And *Aloha Summer* from 88 th-cam.com/video/_1zNJD52srY/w-d-xo.html
I wish you made more videos, because i love them sooo much! You pick really interesting movies you give great info, funny comments and inserted pics and videos you notice great details and point them out....just extremely entertaining! Love your videos
Growing up in the 80s meant you thought Spring Break was the coolest thing ever. And then visiting Ft. Lauderdale meant that you understood disappointment on a whole new level.
I hear it's the same for Mardi Gras. People piss and shit and puke in the street so much that the locals wear rubber boots if they can't avoid the quarter.
Blacque Jacques Shellacque I went to both when I was younger, and Mardi Gras is worse. The police are everywhere in Ft.Lauderdale, and it’s nothing like the movies make it out to be. It’s not 30hr between them hauling 5-6 people away for underage drinking or public drunkenness from each group. Unless your super rich or at a resort beach, you are going to have to have just a normal beach experience, but with more douchebags around. There were 3 guys passed out on the Main Street at Mardi Gras early on the first night I was there. They ended up getting robbed, pissed on, and puked on by multiple people. The amount of middle aged parents trying to act young is insane, that and the inordinate amount of pickpockets and thieves. Everyone but me and my GF had their, 4star hotel, rooms robbed in our group of about 20. You have to think of them both as the meeting place of the one guy in your group, who likes to get super drunk and act like a douchebag. And the girls who do the same, but also want to be the center of attention.
Ft Lahderdale is the place to go after Spring Break. That's when this type of shit, went on with the locals, and there are plenty of college women. When it switched to Panama City, it made this movie look like a G rated family film, from Disney.
I remember watching this movie on tv when I was fifteen and thinking that this is what spring break was supposed to be like. It hand such a believability about it that it seemed almost a frame work of what to expect during this moment in someone’s life.
If you like Spring Break too, then here's a couple of great little cornball 80s beach movies I found while surfing on YT :D The Malibu Bikini Shop from 86 th-cam.com/video/edsmakZYkv0/w-d-xo.html And Aloha Summer from 88 th-cam.com/video/_1zNJD52srY/w-d-xo.html
Spring Break played about once a day in the early 80's on cable. I molded my teen persona (cool factor) after OT's character. I think I have watched this movie more than any other teen sex comedy. I also LOVED this movie as a kid/early teenager.
I love this flick. Maybe the best of its kind. Update (2021): The guy who played Stu, Paul Land passed away in 2007, according to David Knell, who played Nelson and put out out a "bootleg" commentary for Spring Break.
Awesome to see some love for Spring Break! And funny comments. Just recently found a Dvd with this and 3 other 80s teen comedies for $5. Will never watch the others but Spring Break lives forever.
I actually got to meet Harry Manfredini and he signed my vhs copy of this movie he was pretty excited he even mentioned it on his composer panel at horror hound here in Cincinnati it was killer too get to meet him and talk to him I figured he was all f13ed out so when he saw me with this movie we both was pretty damn hyped oh and I really dig that song I want to do it to you the singer is hot and the song rocks and rolls this is just a good fun movie especially when having a few beers
Forgetting what room they are in and getting thrown out by the staff seems like the simplest/best writing for such a situation. Not exactly why I'm so impressed by that, I guess it just seems real to me.
I remember when Blockbuster first opened a video rental store in my neighborhood. I was in VHS heaven! My favorite category was the "recommended" shelf. This was even covered on an episode of seinfeld!
Thanks for this video. I forgot all about this movie, but I loved it when it was out in the 80's. I think they showed it at our college for years after that on 50 cent movie night.
You really should take a look at this 1979 Italian sci-fi horror movie called The Visitor. I only very recently watched it for the first time, and it's AMAZING. And amazingly insane, but mostly just amazing.
If you can find this gem "One Night Only" 1986 a great Canadian love story...with incest (sure why not). It's just so Hockey/amazing. Thanks for all the laughs I just found this channel and I love it. I have amassed a pretty impressing collection of 80's everything and I'm damn proud of it. Keep up the good work.
This looked too good to not see in full. Went to ebay and had to buy. Shame it was only sold as a 4 pack of other summer/beach movies. Love your videos. Thank you so much.
Another awesome review Cecil, & I have got to see this film! Man, I wish I wish I could've been a teen or young adult, in the 80s!! Sadly, I've never gotten to experience any spring break parties. That's pretty bizarre that that one blonde chick ended up vanishing. If she's still alive, then she's out there somewhere, & may be found one day. Hey, Eric Freeman came out of hiding, so anything could happen.
The belly flop competitor "Gut-Gut" was Jeff Garlin's first role, he talked about it on an episode of Jon Favreau's criminally cancelled show "Dinner for Five".
If you like this one you'll prob love where the boys are '84 very simular plot and premise bt with woman doing the pursuing.A very heart felt romantic song at the end.
Hey Good Bad Flicks! Big fan I watch every upload, I thought I was alone in my love for movies so bad that they're good. Lol can you consider doing one on a movie called "Dead And Breakfast"? It's one of my favourites.
Also it was Corinne Wahl who was on the movie poster and not the blonde woman Tami. If you look there are promotional materials where she is posing in various locations in the same bikini. This is also revealed in the non-offical commentary that the main character used to have available on his website. Fun to listen to if you are a fan and can still find it.
In ye Olden days, The Wet T-Shirt contest was used to solve political disputes between Neighboring Frats, to see who could bring in the FINEST Of Trim.
Is this what rich kids did on spring break in college, cause I had to work and didn't have even the possibility of leaving my city let alone my state for multiple days.
Came to watch a video about an 80's spring break and left with the knowledge of why you get hungover. Just another service provided by Cecil :)
Right?
mokthemagicman
I'll still play Galaga, whenever I see a machine somewhere.
This is what I love about Good Bad Flicks. He brings back films that I've totally forgot about. Keep em coming, my dude.
:)
What's crazy is, I was around 12 year olds when I watched this film on The Movie Channel back in the early 80's. I know ever song word for word.
I went to spring break in Daytona in 1996 & it put everything in this movie to shame
Hey, if you guys enjoyed _Spring Break_ (like I did, after watching this vid) then it's also worth checking out _The Malibu Bikini Shop_ (from '86-ish, I think)

I think she was a victim of human trafficking and may be in South America somewhere.

This movie and Hardbodies were the two movies my 17 year old brother rented for 12 year old me the first time my mom went out of town.
Your brother is a bit of a legend 👌
LOL'd at the "Professional Victim" shirt call-out.
Hahaha! Funny cuz true.
Always loved the charm of this movie. It so reminded me of my class trips in high school for both spring break and end of year/senior trips, esp since we always went to Florida.
Cecil explaining the benefits of potassium is the best.
Literally made me laugh out loud.
😂 He needs to write for a show.
That was a gold moment. Because it mattered.

I think she was married to Dave Coulier of "Full House".
The 80's were a golden age for American film, especially the straight to video movies. They made everything American look so cool, and anything seem possible.
Truer words have never been spoken. That's why I love 80s films so much, despite having only been a toddler in the 80s.

xingcat IT SMELLS LIKE BENGAY AND MOTHBALLS!!!!

Sometimes all three at once, and onto someone passed out on the ground. 😳
Do a review of The Twilight Zone Movie (1983) please?
......😐 great. That's just wonderful Cecil - I'm half a minute in and cannot get my brain to stop emulating Brüt 😒
🤗
Wingman alligator
Man... I love this channel so much! I am always likin' before watchin' EVERY video! :D
I remember watching this movie on tv when I was fifteen and thinking that this is what spring break was supposed to be like. It hand such a believability about it that it seemed almost a frame work of what to expect during this moment in someone’s life.
Man, i watched this movie a million times...
Was actually just thinking about this movie the other day, just like every spring.

Can you do a movie or two with R.Lee Ermey? He just passed away and a couple of his smaller movies getting attention would be great.
I love this flick. Maybe the best of its kind.
Update (2021): The guy who played Stu, Paul Land passed away in 2007, according to David Knell, who played Nelson and put out out a "bootleg" commentary for Spring Break.
A guy jumps off a palm tree into a pool
Narrator: All the beer in world isn't going to take away that sting.
Me: Sting? it's more internal bleeding.
"Video game journalist face" - priceless!
What a fun movie. Dug it out of my Dad's VHS collection and watched it a few months ago. Reminded me of Daytona twenty years ago.
I’ve been watching you for years and when you got serious with the banana fact that was amazing and it made my day.
Awesome to see some love for Spring Break! And funny comments. Just recently found a Dvd with this and 3 other 80s teen comedies for $5. Will never watch the others but Spring Break lives forever.
"it's...something going wrong." i lol'd
Corinne Alphen was absurdly hot.

Someone apparently sold out to Big Potassium
ABC 123
😳
Why did I lose it at the banana joke? I don't know, but Cecil you are a genius.
Joan is played by Corinne Alphen, who was the 1982 Penthouse Pet Of The Year. She was also in several other movies and TV shows
i LIKE THE WAY YOU THINK. GOOD SHOW, ON THE INO!
Thanks so munch Cecil I use to watch this film back in the day on HBO but never knew the name of it but now I do all thanks to little old you!
Thanks for this video. I forgot all about this movie, but I loved it when it was out in the 80's. I think they showed it at our college for years after that on 50 cent movie night.
Thanks for watching!
You really should take a look at this 1979 Italian sci-fi horror movie called The Visitor. I only very recently watched it for the first time, and it's AMAZING. And amazingly insane, but mostly just amazing.
Spencer Bean It's on Cecil's list. :)
8:10. Thanks for looking out for us, Cecil.
1:52 M.O.D. And now i love this series even more.
If you can find this gem "One Night Only" 1986 a great Canadian love story...with incest (sure why not). It's just so Hockey/amazing. Crazy Gut Guy is played by Jeff Garlin of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "The Goldbergs". Also, Paul Land, who played Stu, died some years ago.
I was going to point that out, you beat me to it.
steelheadstalker Oh. Cool. :)
The ladies in this movie were bangin.
Damn Cecil, you made remember this movie, I saw it like 30 years ago!!!, keep up the good work man.

Man I haven't seen Spring Break in years . Man that takes me back to a great time in my life.
As the father of a toddler, I burst into laughter with the peg+cat reference.
My girlfriend had a bunch of stuff from the Button around several years ago. Her sorority sisters worked there while this movie was being filmed.
"I will NOT have you running around in public acting like a fool, and dressing like a hermaphrodite!!!!"😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
GREATEST. LINE. EVER.
Yes! Love this channel!
dude !!!! i remember this movie ... good times . good times lol
"I wanna do it!" is barely a euphemism!
Loved the "she kicks high" reference. Another great video overall.
Yessssssssss! I absolutely love this movie! Great Job, Cecil!
Video game journalist face has me dying.
It's so 80's it hurts.
Love the lecture on the benefits of potassium
Are we just gonna ignore the giant dragon hanging out in the background at 9:07??
"Nelson's thirsty, so-
*looks up from phone*
"-she tells him to go to the vending machine and get some drinks."
*looks back down at phone*
this might be a hidden gem i haven't seen yet great video
The belly flop competitor "Gut-Gut" was Jeff Garlin's first role, he talked about it on an episode of Jon Favreau's criminally cancelled show "Dinner for Five".
Great video... I need to dig up Spring Break and watch it again.
Thanks!
Yes kids ! This is how we partied in the 80’s !
GoodBadFlicks No man rocked the Belly shirt Better Richard "Cheech" Marin (For those wondering see "Up in Smoke")
Wet t-shirt contests were a thing in the late 90's still
Although I think they were falling in frequency at that point.
If you like this one you'll prob love where the boys are '84 very simular plot and premise bt with woman doing the pursuing.A very heart felt romantic song at the end.
OT is my spirit animal. He has this whole thing going on outside the film. I've never seen this movie and I know that I love him.
crocodillo best wingman
Cunningham also did a weird baseball comedy movie that was obviously "inspired" by Bad News Bears.
FanfareT.Loudest Here Come The Tigers from 1978.
I...i had no idea about the potasium and the heavy drinking relationship
You are the best!!!!
I'm doing my public service lol :)
The belly flopping beer swigging guy is Jeff Garlin, the dad on the Goldbergs. I used to think it was Mike Golic.
A spring break movie and no John Candy? For shame.
wstine79 You're thinking about Summer Rental. :)
@Roy Phillips
Or Jennifer Lawrence. Wait, I'm thinking of Winter's Bone.
"I'm curious. Does this ever happen in today's college climate?"
BWAAAAA, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA~!
I like this movie!
I still find it hard to believe that Sean S Cunningham directed this lol
Hey Good Bad Flicks! Big fan I watch every upload, I thought I was alone in my love for movies so bad that they're good. Lol can you consider doing one on a movie called
"Dead And Breakfast"? It's one of my favourites.
5:09 "Amigo, if there is something going on, you will go home in the trunks of 10 different cars"
Not only did I laugh too hard but I also learned some real life lessons about Potassium. Hats off to you kind Sir
GoodBadFlicks I thought you were going to show Hamburger Buns lol.
That's not the same bikini.
After checking you are right but in the commentary they did say she was the poster girl. Hmmmm?
That pube edit was pure genius!
Another outstanding vid, mate. Cheers!!!
Thanks!
Nice, great video as always Cecil.
0:55 I NEARLY FUCKING DIED CECIL HOLY SHIT! That was fucking hysterical!
Late to the game, but loved this movie as a 15-year-old, and love it now as a 53-year-old for what it was.
Killed me with the more you know part
In ye Olden days, The Wet T-Shirt contest was used to solve political disputes between Neighboring Frats, to see who could bring in the FINEST Of Trim.
Crazy Gut Guy in the bellyflop scene went on to be the Dad on "The Goldbergs."
the Alligator knew how to help Eddie
This is your best one yet.
When I saw your intro I literally thought it said "GoodBad FUCKS"
You ain't the first lol
It's about time the importance of potassium was focused on.
I really enjoyed this one even though i didnt know this movie :D Keep up the great work :)
Well shit, I gotta watch Spring Break now.
6:18 That was not a euphemism.
First to see a cat come out of another cat.
Thanks for the shudder code man. gonna watch some old horror tonight
Is this what rich kids did on spring break in college, cause I had to work and didn't have even the possibility of leaving my city let alone my state for multiple days.
