South African here. First of all, thanks! I saw this as a kid and again a number of years ago. It's a crazy movie and even crazier when dubbed in Afrikaans.
OMG!!! I remember the ad campaign for this film so well! Every kid on the block wanted to see it...but no one could find where it was playing. We used to go down to 42nd st Times Square to see HK/Grindhouse flicks; I thought I remember seeing on a marquee once. Great review!
"Were you ever so mad that you round house kicked a piano" Chuck Norris That reminds me, don't forget to review the greatest Chuck Norris movie of all time, "INVASION USA".
Great video, Cecil- you should do a review of “Crippled Masters”- a completely insane action movie. I think it’s from the 70’s, or at most the early 80’s, and features two Kung fu masters, one with no arms, and the other with no legs. (Well, the guy with no arms does have a sort of “flipper”, that he uses to brush his hair out of his face in one incredibly hilarious scene.) Anyway, the guy with no arms has a sort of basket/harness on his back that his legless buddy climbs into, and the two, handicapped separately, join to become the ultimate fighting machine! So the armless guy spins and kicks, and he turns around so the legless guy punches and does holds and such. Oh my god- it’s a treat. I’m pretty sure your audience would love it! Thanks for the great video-
Chico is the MVP here. BY far. Like wow. For lack of a better way to phrase it. Best movie ever made about a martial arts dwarf. Also if it came today, the endings would be projected on the corpse.
Good review here. Bit of trivia, some scenes were edited out the American release. In the end, The Baron actually has a flashback of himself attempting to murder the fuhrer.. the fuhrer scolds him big time and leaves the room, and then turns the gun to himself... which leads to the fuhrer committing suicide in the desert.
FINALLY!!! YOU NEED MORE MARTIAL ART FILMS IN YOUR LIFE!. Thank you for this, though. Really. Your channel is one of my personal retreats...meaning I find solace in watching your videos in times of ....uhm....lifeisapainintheass-ery. You know what I mean. Great Channel!
Seriously Chico was the real hero of this movie. Big props to the Director for casting him as a strong confident hero and not as the stereotypical sympathetic 'jester' character like in "The Wizard Of Oz" or in "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory" or the other countless examples.
Yes! I love how he gets to go out and actually do stuff rather than just getting thrown around for comic relief. He's a little badass. I hope he's in the sequel.
I would pay good money to see a martial arts movie where a small person beats up full sized people, kind of like in the vain of "For Your Height only".
The dwarf who loved me ? SkyTall You only live 4' Your height is not enough ? The living day heights? liscence to ride rollercoasters? Live and let height ? I got nothing
the Dwarf in this movie looked pretty tough, he managed to tackled the giant and at 7:55 he managed to carry a full sized man on his shoulders (which if you think about it that guy on his shoulders must have weighed one and a half to two times him) which is really impressive.
Your opening joke has literally happened to me twoce in the last few days watching movies with my mom. She thought the logos for the studios or the production companys were the opening titles or scenes of the movies :°
Solid work as usual. I am waiting for the time you announce a person’s death without “sadly”, maybe when your doing a Weinstein production a few years from now after he has check out.
There was a real guy who’s car broke down on the middle of a desert. Then he spent 4days modifying the car into a 3-wheeler without a body, and drove his way to safety.
4:30 That Sad Flute while holding the 'heart of the ocean' got me. Also: I chuckled at Chico's Entrance, the Exciting. Plane. LANDING. FOOTAGE. Roundhouse a Piano? Hell Yeah!! & I face palmed hard at the Hose in the House.
Its an old Karate trope, from the days of Bruce Lee rivalry. Bruce was "like water", so this guy wanted to be like "the wind". They try to mimic wind sounds with their punches when training with the kimono. He is just copying Lee.
7:40 I like martial arts movies and anime but I never stop finding it hilarious how every one always has random people that A. Know martial arts and B. Want to pick a fight with the main characters and C. They almost always come at the main character 1 at a time UNLESS the second guy grabs the main character from behind in a bear hug so the main character can lift both legs up and kick the first guy with both legs
Love this movie! Kill And Kill Again might be nuttier. It's a real tossup there. I always thought James Ryan's whistling/breathing/whatever was based on Bruce Lee and high pitched noises he couldn't help but let out during filming. Ryan did seem to use it to piss off his opponents which ain't the worst thing.
The greatest martial arts movie is definitely Bloodmoon... ... ... Lol. I love that one. In fact, love a few Gary Daniel movies. Have you seen that one or explored any Gary D movies!? 😮
@@RexusKing Oh, for sure. It's the grunting and "karate sounds" that really puts it off into it's own weird thing. Bond could use more grunting and karate sounds during his opening credits.
I watched Kill and Kill Again more than I should admit when I was a kid, but I had no idea this movie existed. Strangely enough the lead's name was Steve Chase in KKA...even though imdb says it is a sequel to this.
Have you reviewed Enter The Ninja already? Other martial arts movies you could do are The Octagon, An Eye for an Eye and Forced Vengeance (with Chuck Norris).
I'm old enough to have actually seen "Kill or Be Killed" and "Killed and Kill Again" at the cinema. They really were/are fun movies to watch. I commented that "Kill and Kill Again" has the same plot as "Force Five". The constant noises I chalked up to him trying to copy Bruce Lee, what do you think about that?
Let's see, I think I've taken out 1, 2, 3...17 pianos that way; it's how I get my kicks. Steve & Olga are a fun pair for sure; I like that Sail Buggy they improvised, plus they seem to like to laugh together (I think it's a nice job of depicting "crazy in love", seriously).
This movie actually has a unique story and did some pretty interesting things. All the material artists teaming up to kick down the wall and bend the bars. And Chico was straight up AWESOME! Defiantly going to try to find this and watch it
When I first saw it, knowing the time it was made, I was expecting Chico to be comedic relief. I was really happy to see that not only was he a pretty well established character but that he also was quite heroic.
GoodBadFlicks That’s what definitely made the movie an eyecatcher and makes me want to see it. The fact that he’s not there just for some comedic relief but also seems to be one of the main heroes of the story
I rented this as a VHS from a local kiosk in our suburb in the 80es. Back then censorship was pretty hard in certain parts of Europe, and the film was rated K20 (for 20 years of age or higher), which was very unusual since the offical ratings only went up to 18. The cashier guy glanced at the rating and went "no fucking way!" since I was only around ten at the time. After I protested he read the description at the back and concluded it was so ridiculous the rating must have been a fluke, and agreed to let me have it 😅
South African here. First of all, thanks! I saw this as a kid and again a number of years ago. It's a crazy movie and even crazier when dubbed in Afrikaans.
"I'm so small yet so persistent"
Thinking of using this as a pickup line. 😜
If you would be a moderately attractive woman it would be a great pickup line.
@@eval_is_evil 😂 This is true.
"The hero needs some kind of schtick... I know, he should whistle!"
"But i cant whistle!"
"Just do your best."

Dude this is a damn masterpiece. Hats off for even finding it.
James Ryan was also a main villain in Kickboxer V: The Redemption starring oposit Mark Dacascos.
In the mid 90s
Recorder playing heart go on.. funniest thing all day 🤣
Your videos bring me so much joy, Cecil. Thank you. ☺️
You are very welcome :)
This is by far the most insane movie you’ve ever covered.
"Were you ever so mad that you round house kicked a piano"
Chuck Norris

That guy didn't go Chuck Norris on that piano, he did a reenactment of Patrick Swayze in Road House!!!
@@carltonstaples7423 damn he definitely needs to talk about Roadhouse, after INVASION USA though.
That was a reverse sidekick.
You are all wrong..it was a fine tuned kick.!

Chico deserved his own film series.
Agreed!
Chico is the MVP here. BY far. Like wow. For lack of a better way to phrase it. Best movie ever made about a martial arts dwarf.

So basically Enter the Dragon...in Boksburg 😂😂😂

Mind boggling... Loved both movies as a kid. The trademark schtick was "keyah!!!"
So glad to have new content from you man! I've loved your stuff for the past like 6 years!

A decade ago I found this film in one of those 30 MOVIES ON 15 DVD sets. is was bundeled in with alot of Sonny Chiba films
Glad to see GOOD BAD FLICKS BACK ! AH cheesy old karate movies how I miss you . Honey Comb Hideout LOL
This is seriously the funniest episode yet 🤣
Woah, love the Arch Enemy reference! Fellow metalheads of TH-cam untie!!!!
Yes! I was hoping someone would pick up on that :)
Will you be reviewing "Kill and Kill Again"? It's one of my cinematic guilty pleasures.
Always excited when a new video of yours comes out :)
This movie was awsome in the beginning of the 80,,s...I keep that memory.:)
Cecil had so many puns in this video I could not decide which to joke about.
He even tries to hire Nickelback!!! LOL 😂😂😂
Your opening joke has literally happened to me twoce in the last few days watching movies with my mom. She thought the logos for the studios or the production companys were the opening titles or scenes of the movies :°
That was a spinning back kick to the piano not a roundhouse kick. :) Love your videos. They are a lot of fun!
Body parts theater worked for the James Bond film opening credits sequences.

Love this movie from back in the day
It's amazing how much James Ryan looks like Billy Drago. The two could have played brothers at one time.
Chico is the MAN❗
Another phenomenal video from GoodBadFlicks! The piano kick was not a roundhouse kick but a reverse (or spinning) sidekick. Rock on!
A Weng Weng reference! You just made my day. :-D

Got to love that wonderful edition of my heart will go on.
I saw Kill And Kill Again multiple times as a kid in the 80s but have never seen this. Could never find it back then.
Kill And Kill Again is a better movie, in my opinion. The pink haired lady was my favourite.
1:54: Whoa, good timing! He was just convicted!
