Thank you so much. It is so eye opening. I want to make a brief of your video here. Mistake 1: apply on dry skin -> apply oil on wet skin Mistake 2: use too much oil -> use maximum 3 drops of oil for the entire face Mistake 3: use the wrong oil. Unless you have extremely dry skin, oil with heavy texture like coconut oil (or advocado oil,...) is hard for skin to absord. -> use lighter texture oils such as watermelon oil, hemp seed oil,... Mistake 4: not hydrating skin enough before using oil -> use humectant before applying oil (humectant is a substance that is able to moisturize skin, for example: vegetables glycerin. You need it because oils aren't hydrating skin but just locking the moisture). Mistake 5: use rancid oil -> never use oil that smells or passes due date Mistake 6: use only 1 type of oil -> mix different oils based on their vitamins and minerals profile, or alternate the oil every month or so. Mistake 7: use the same oil in the morning and evening. This is not a mistake but just like an advice. You can use oils which are not-so-fast absorbing and not-an-ideal-makeup-base but rich in vitamins and minerals in the evening
1. Using oils on dry skin 2. Using far too much 3. Using the wrong oils 4. Not hydrating your skin before using the oils 5. Using rancid oils 6. Sticking to only 1 oil 7. Using the same oils in the morning and the evening Thank you so much, I just started to using oils, you helped me a lot ❤

how to use the vegetable glycerin? Which oil is best for hyperpigmentation on a brown skin? Which oil is best to reduce acne scars (indentations on my skin) Thank you
As a massage therapist, I’ve been using high-end oils but started using coconut oil about four years ago my clients love the smell. I always make sure that I keep it fresh. It doesn’t clog pours and it also doesn’t sit on the skin. Well, it works really well. One thing I would note is that people that have any acne on their back should not be seeing massage therapist Although we can use gloves if you have acne, it can cause more breakouts should be using a shower brush to clean their skin and see a dermatologist or a nutritionist.. often it is related to the gut.
This video is very educational! I have only just started using oils on my skin. I have combination skin. I use turmeric oil on my face before applying my make up and at night I use hyaluronic acid but I find that it dries my skin a little bit
Hyaluronic acid hydrates the skin by taking up moisture from atmosphere so if there is not enough moisture in the atmosphere it soaks up moisture from the deeper layers of your skin and that what dries your skin up, so it depends on the place where you live how humid is your environment.
So, when do I apply moisturizer? Cleanse, tone (rose water and glycerine), moisturize and then oil? By then my skin is not really damp anymore. Or can I mix my few drops of oil into my moisturizer?
thanks for the tips.. i personally like to use two drops of rose hip oil mixed with one drop of licerush oil.. perfect for my combination, sensitive skin.. it had helped me reduce breakouts and fade scars .. totally recommended. 👍

Thank you for this helpful video, but my objection is for using the pure glyceryn on the skin. I have read multiple times that applying pure glyceryn on your skin can cause the opposite - dryness. So the best way of using it is the mixture with other ingredients, maybe some glycerine products you can easyly buy. But i agree glycerin is the perfect humactant before using face oils.
glycerin will only cause u dryness if u leave it as it is on skin without applying a layer of oil on it....I have been following her other video of how to apply oil where she damps her face ...put on a humectant and then the oil...it works perfectly for me since quite some time

@@PKD2022 i just started using the oil a moment ago, and yeah it feels a little bit greasy. But i just use it alone. I've seen the results of the rosehip oil on other people and it's totally worth it!!!!
Hi there. It sounds like you have a damaged skin barrier. Many of the cosmetics you use are making it even weaker. It starts from switching from a face wash to an oil cleansing method. Secondly, exfoliation is one of the biggest mistakes for sensitive skin, especially chemical. You dont need it. You will get the same smooth, glowing skin from using the right oils on your face. Retinol is known to sensitise the skin, so it's also a big no, no for an already sensitive skin. Lastly, choose between a face cream and a face oil - never both. In short I would recommend cleansing with the oil cleansing method, a chamomile water as a toner, glycerine or HA as a humectant and you can stick to your rosehip oil. Stick to this minimalistic routine for at lest 2 months and see how it goes.
I'm very much interested in using 'watermelon seed oil' but I'm not able to locate a 'Humectant'. should only purchase a face product that has humectants in it like' La Roche Posay Face Repair Lotion'? It sounds like alot of productions.. what do you recommend and in what order-face hydrator then 'watermelon seed oil?
Hello! If you have oily skin go for light oils with comedogenic rating no higher than 2, like the watermelon seed or hemp seed. Have a look at this blog post where I talk all about it: www.naturallyhonestlabs.com/post/get-rid-of-oily-skin-naturally . Thank you for your complement - I just turned 34 years old, although this video was shot about 2 years ago. Hi Lucia. It really depends on your skin type. As a rule of thumb for normal/combination/oily/acne skin the comedogenic rating of the oil should not be more than 2. If you have a dry complexion then try oils with comedogenic rating of 2-5.

At night I switch castor for rosa mosqueta or argán oil.I particularly LOVE the smell of hempseed oil. I never use coconut on my face, except after beach days when salt,Sun and wind make me feel I need something more.
Hope It is useful.
I realize that I've been making all these mistakes since long. I mix 2drops each of coconut, olive & castor oil & apply. Skin on my forehead still remains dry & wrinkles easily.
Coconut oil is terrible for the skin.
You’re a star!!!! 🤩😍 So basically I’ve been doing EVERYTHING wrong. No wonder it just sits until I wipe it off 🤔 I’d no idea. Very good video, thank you ☺️
Haha! We have all been there :) Glad I could help!
Thank you for this video. Can you recommend morning oils vs. evening oils for “ normal” skin?
Amazing thank you very much..
Whats your take on Rosehip oils..
Thank you for sharing. The information is very interesting and helpful.
Thank you so much i needed this knowledge
Thankyou so much for this insightful video!! 🥰
I started using oils recently so I'm still new to this. I was doing 5 mistakes mentioned here😅
My routine - after cleansing I spray my face with Avene spring water and massage few drops of Vichy 89 hyaluronic acid serum. Than I would use rosehip oil on top of it and than my daily moisturiser.
Thank you. This video helped me a lot because I didn't know some of these things. I use mainly oils but in the summer, I use a skin cream when the temperatures reach 80 degrees and above.
what are plant basedoil ? thanks for this video
Thank you for this. I followed your advice and Argan oil has really been helping my skin
I'm so glad!
Amazing information! Thanks a ton!! What brand of jojoba oil one should go for with extremely dry skin and eczema
What a handy video! May I ask how you use the vegetable glycerin?
Thanks in advance!
Great question..it's generally sticky so I am curious as well.
a bit late to respond but this how I apply....first damp the skin, tehn take 2-3 drops of glycerin and dilute it with 5-10 drop of water and then dab it on skin ...after that put couple of drops of oil
Thank you so much for grt information.
Rose oil is best for me I've tried many . And almond oil for lips and blackseed oil for eyelashes

Hi
Thank you very much for the informative video. I have a bad case of eyelashes falling. Can you suggest an appropriate oil. Castor oil feels too heavy. Coconut and olive oils have been failures too. Pls help. Thank you
What oils do you recommend combining for morning and night?
Great listening to u
Please let me know is castor oil a humectant ❤🌹
How do you apply the vegetable glycerin and how much do you use? Thank you!
You say that coconut oil is not apropriate for the face unless someone has dry skin. I have normal skin and i have been using coconut oil for years and since I started using coconut oil the, my skin has improved amazingly (even from week 1). Everybody asks me what do I do and I have such a clear and healthy skin.
Oil attracts dust which cause pimples and acne..don't u hv any such prblms?

how to use the vegetable glycerin?
Which oil is best for hyperpigmentation on a brown skin?
Which oil is best to reduce acne scars (indentations on my skin)

Very well explained thankyou
Hello. Thank you for your great advice on oils. My question is which plant oil can l alternate with moringa oil for my face? I have dry skin.
So, when do I apply moisturizer? Cleanse, tone (rose water and glycerine), moisturize and then oil? By then my skin is not really damp anymore. Or can I mix my few drops of oil into my moisturizer?
Thank you soooo much! It really helped me a lot! Greetings from Poland.
Pozdrowienia!
Great video. So what essential oils are best to use in the AM and PM hours? Thank you
Great info ... And you have great skin and a beautiful face !
Thank you ! :)
Thank you this video was very helpful to me now i know why my face was so greasy after using my face oil.
thanks for the tips.. i personally like to use two drops of rose hip oil mixed with one drop of licerush oil.. perfect for my combination, sensitive skin.. it had helped me reduce breakouts and fade scars .. totally recommended. 👍
Thank you for sharing your experience.
@@naturallyhonestlabs Hello I'm Loretta De Los Rios using Frank's account to make this comment with his permission. I have hypersensitive sensitive skin. And recently it got sensitized. I notice I can't use my regular face cleansers. One of them is a oil that I enjoy. But the washcloth I have would be to harsh on my skin now., How does one use a oil to wash their face? Also what is the benefit of using the oil on a wet face? I read a comment herein saying that they differ with you on applying a oil on a wet face because it will repellant the oil and it wont penetrate into the skin., And that topping it of with a moisturizer would be better. Can you please advise this comment?
Thank you. I enjoyed this video but still have questions. 🙏🤲✝️🤗

I have a question about the use of oils please, when I use an oil at night, is it necessary to cleanse it in the morning in order to "not burn my skin" ? Can I use my homemade spf directly without cleansing ?
You are amazing. Thank you for this video ❤️
Very helpful. I have serious allergies to natural products I have tried all different oils, and jojoba oil is the only oil that doesn't cause redness Rosemary, hemp or any seed oil causes redness and dermatitis I can't use different oils
Great information .Not promotional video of expensive products .
Hi, im excited to try using olis only on my skin. I read that cold pressed virgine olive oil is the best moisturiser, and i want to try it out but is it good to use for the face?

Thanks for information. Is it ok to mix a few drops of oils to facial lotion and apply that mixtures everyday? Will the oil get absorbed this way? Thanks
Many many thanks for wonderful awesome correction....you are sooo helpful ...blessings

Wow, never knew the dry skin tip!! Thank you!!
my pleasure :)
I use my hydrating toner, then serum, the mousturizer mixed with 2 drops of grape seed oil. Is that ok? Or should I apply the moisturizer mixed with oil on top of damp skin?
Can I mix different oils?
Can I apply sunscreen after my skin absorbs the oil? Or should I apply sunscreen before applying oil?
Sunscreen is the last step

Thank you for this helpful video, but my objection is for using the pure glyceryn on the skin. I have read multiple times that applying pure glyceryn on your skin can cause the opposite - dryness. So the best way of using it is the mixture with other ingredients, maybe some glycerine products you can easyly buy. But i agree glycerin is the perfect humactant before using face oils.
glycerin will only cause u dryness if u leave it as it is on skin without applying a layer of oil on it....I have been following her other video of how to apply oil where she damps her face ...put on a humectant and then the oil...it works perfectly for me since quite some time
I love putting oils on my face at night and waking up with a plump moisturized face

you should avoid using two oil based products at the same time.

Mistake No 8, never put an oil in your body or face and go into the sun.
Mistake No 9, never use any lemon mixed with essential oils for your body or face
The best hydrating and moisturising cream or lotion is aloe vera juice or watermelon juice.
Peace
nice, thanks!
So, you just apply watermelon juice and go out? Isn't it sticky and attract ants, flies etc?
Why shouldn't you use oil and enter the sun. Isn't it the same as Shea butter?
@@ezinneawa8651 This can cause unevenness in pigment, sun spots, darkening of moles, and pigment concerns like melasma.
Ok my darling awa!
Thank you for no 8. My face gets darker anytime I go out in the sun and its because I use baby oil as my moisturiser. You've just proved my suspicions correct

Hi! I got a question. I have very dry and sensitive skin, so I first wash my face, then use hydraulic acid, then a retinol or a chemical exfoliant (I switch days), and then comes time for the face oil.
So the question is...since I can’t wash my face again...how do I apply the face oil? Can I mix it with my face cream/moisturizer?
Btw I use rose hip oil and vitamin E face cream. Thx
Don't use retinol with Rose hip oil, cause this one is a natural form of Ratinol/ vitamin A
@@yamiletsoler3464 I see thx! But my face feels really greasy when I use the rose hip oil on my dry face, and then I apply the cream over it...which makes it even more greasy...thoughts?
@@PKD2022 i just started using the oil a moment ago, and yeah it feels a little bit greasy. But i just use it alone. What i know is that the oil goes after the cream, to seal the moisture, and you should use a few drops, don't go wild with the oil. Well, since i will use it on night time before bed i don't have any problem with greasy skin, but try The ordinary Niacinamide it works fantastic for this issue and it's not expensive! I've seen the results of the rosehip oil on other people and it's totally worth it!!!!
@@yamiletsoler3464 thank you so much!!! U the greatest!!! 😁😁😁
What's the best oils for oily skin? U have beautiful skin, how old are u and what oils do u use on your skin? If u don't mind me asking😊
I don't look that much different though ;) I use the Naturally Honest Labs oils for normal and combination skin: www.naturallyhonestlabs.com/product-page/day-face-oil-normal-combination-skin and www.naturallyhonestlabs.com/product-page/night-face-oil-normal-combination-skin .
@@naturallyhonestlabs Ok,thank you for replying..I will check out the links👍😊
Is grape seed oil a light oil?
@@_Anisha__ yes, it is.
Woow!! Very useful 👌!! Thank you!!
What specific oils would you recommend using at night and also in the morning?
Hi Lucia. It really depends on your skin type. As a rule of thumb for normal/combination/oily/acne skin the comedogenic rating of the oil should not be more than 2. If you have a dry complexion then try oils with comedogenic rating of 2-5.
