I loved everything about SC Blacklist. Ironside was replaced because they already developed Mo-Cap technology with voice acting side by side called Performance Capture. So they went with a younger actor instead who can do both action and be the voice of Sam Fisher. Of course, its not the same without Ironside, but the game itself was brilliant!

I got Alpha Protocol and liked it. It was a bit clunky but I didn't experience too much bugs anymore and while it lacked polish it was a good experience.
Splinter cell blacklist has one of the best multiplayer modes I’ve ever played. Spies vs mercs should be it’s own game and it could become a huge esport imo.
I can say the bugs are real. I bought prey when it came out (yes a DVD I still have) and never could get it to run on any computer. I have a steam version now and it is great.
No it isn't. Opinions exist. Second alpha protocol isn't even a fully polished game. Prey isn't an RPG,and if it is considered one, it is definitely not a good Rpg. It's an immersive sim, now edit this comment.
I finished it about a month ago. Great underrated gem, but definitely not a 10/10. The game definitely gets repetitive and the bosses aren’t really unique in any way. I’d say an 8.5/10
@@YesNo-yl6ws I finally replayed it and finished it two months ago after I had given up twice. It's the definition of a 7/10 game for me (I could even go at 6/10 if I felt a bit harsher). It's a good game, but the drawbacks, like the repetitiveness, are quite striking.
Splinter Cell Blacklist and Splinter Cell Conviction are 2 awesome games imo. I didn't really play the previous instalments, so the mechanics were brand new to me and quite enjoyable
The most impressive thing about Alien Isolation is that it came out of a studio (Creative Assembly) whose only experience was making historical grand strategy games and two generic hack-and-slash titles. It’d be like FromSoftware making a surprisingly good NBA game.
the Talos Principle 1 & 2, absolute masterpieces, best sci-fi puzzle games with a ton of existencial philosophy, "overwhelmly positive", but they need a lot more sales... we need a 3...
I played Alien Isolation very late at night after taking an edible and noped out of that game very early on. Way to high to be chased by an alien at 2am in surround sound.
Funny that half of the games you've mentioned are part of my top favorite games ever. Guardians was addicting and fun, Titanfall 2 has one of the best SP campaigns I've ever played (shame it's so short) and Deus Ex was stunning. I'll have to try others from your list, seems you're hitting spot on! :)
Disagree with the lack of marketing for sunset overdrive. I saw countless commercials during and after football on Sunday when it first released . Plus all the bundles it was included with. Go back and see what else released around the same time, It got overshadowed due to being unfamiliar
Godfall could very well be on that list. Fantastic/addicting gameplay with good graphics. The game flopped at launch, being a buggy and glitchy mess. Devs also put the 60 dollar pricetag on it (which is too much for this game). Nowadays, with more content than launch, smooth af gameplay and a price of 5-7 dollars (not from Steam, other sites) the game is definitely worth anyone's time, imo.
I have only two criticisms of Arkane's Prey: 1) It wasn't remade as a side-scrolling metroidvania for me to re-experience its glory all over again, and 2) It hasn't got a sequel.
Nice list! 6/10 are in my backlog already, 2 already beaten, and the only ones I don't own are Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Immortals of Aveum. Another great game that flopped was Overload. Basically Descent 4 in everything but name, made by the original Descent devs.
You forgot one part about Prey. A lot of people were expecting a different Prey. The company acquired the rights and told the devs to slap the name Prey on it. Which was probably the biggest mistake they made.
i dont know why u guys consider splinter cell blacklist is not exactly stealth but more combat if u want to experince complete stealth in blacklist u just have to play in perfectionist difficulty which is the highest dificulty in splinter cell blaclist and if the enimes even get a glimpse of u they will start shooting and suround u from every direction and i use more stealth armor sets then combat or defense type armor sets and u can't use dead eye which is used to mark 3 players and kill them in the game is removed or desabled in perfectionist difficulty and by far i played all splinter cell game and in my pinion blacklist is a good stealth game after conviction which was a stealth masterpiece due to it's lack of armor sets or basically everything it was the most stealth oriented game ever ty.
Spec Ops the line looked like a standard third person shooter, and I only kept playing it because someone recommended it, and by the end, it turned out to be one of the best games I've ever played. Blacklist was also really good.
I have played Titanfall 2, Alien, Deus ex, (edit) spec ops, and Blacklist! They are definitely some of the most amazing. Haven’t gotten the chance to play any other from the list.
Alien Isolation can use your controller mic and PS Camera so the alien will react directly to you and your real-world stealth. That's pretty cool, really. Titanfall 2 is the only game I've ever found at Dollarama. For $4 and they had so many copies, jammed in with their bad knockoff Disney movies and sudoku books.
hmm, well. prey is a completely different game from the games you are used to. don't try to play prey like a cod campaign, my best tip is to use your creativity with the tools/abilities you are given and i also encourage you to explore every corner of the map INCLUDING THE CEILING AND BELOW THE GROUND, yes, you can use the gloo gun to climb walls. shoot at them and the gloo will dry and serve as a platform. maybe you should watch "Immersive Sims will never be popular" by AndyPants Gaming to explain you why u are not having a good time with this game. once you learn how to play imsims, i guarantee you will fall in love with them and will acknowledge them as the best game genre.
As someone who can't even care to sort out those 2 groups of characters after seeing a few of the movies, but would probably love that Guardians game... Avengers is absolutely the reason I didn't even notice it at the time.
played Titanfall 2 time shift level yesterday for the first time. wow. just wow. such an artwork. not only this level but others too. amazing Amazing game
Regarding blacklist, its not the first game that leaned towards action, it actually started with Conviction, blacklist tried to return to the core and incorporate what was good about conviction, the problem was, it came out during the last gen console lifespan and unfortunate release time
The biggest problem with Splinter Cell: Blacklist was the awful ending; SIX cinematics in a row, followed by a tedious quick time boss fight. Out of the list, I played Alpha Protocol, Alien Isolation, Spec Ops: The Line, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Prey and Deus Ex Mankind Divided. I despised Spec Ops the line, for all the reasons that other people seem to love it. For a game that offers you actual moral choices that you have to live with, I recommend "This War of Mine".
Alien Isolation : Most infamous IGN rating Loved Blacklist, Prey amazing gameplay, Titanfall 2 incredible story and gameplay, Deus Ex series masterpiece.
Played a bit of Alpha Protocol back in the day. Pretty interesting stuff. It's actually recently come to GOG, if anyone's interested. I really wanted to play Sunset Overdrive (and it's predecessor that I forgot the name to, where you play as a bald dude who can control electricity), but, as mentioned, it's a console-exclusive, so no play for me. Was pleasantly surprised by Spec Ops: The Line. I genuinely thought it'd be just another military shooter about gun-ho 'Murica saving the world from peasant militias in the middle east, but it was actually so, so, so much more! Immortals of Aveum I've only heard of a couple of times prior to its release, and that was mostly by accident. Wasn't even aware that it came out, so I'm pretty sure we can blame its flop on the bad marketing more than anything. Now compare Prey (2017) to Prey (2006).
Loved Alpha Protocol. Yes it was buggy, but there’s no other game quite like AP. Jade Empire is another terrific game that was made for original Xbox, but criminally overlooked. The game just didn’t have a huge audience. Wish remakes/remasters were in the works for both of these treasures.
I played Spec Op The line and Splinter cell blacklist when they were released and I loved them. Performance was way better even with low PC configuration. About Immortals of Aveum, I tried playing it and loved the game play, however recommended graphic requirement is too high and perform very poorly on minimum requirements.
In my personnel life and opinion the best example, it was "Shadow of Rome" from Capcom. One of the best games that I ever played. A lot of gamers didn't knew it.
I like channels that share games that were good but not commercially successful. Your showing of of Immortals of Aveum - PS5 version fascinated me no end. I loved it. I purchased a copy. It's getting harder to find but I got a copy. I'm happy I saw this video. I get the feeling I would have missed this title had I waited. Immortals of Aveum gives me Space Marines 1 vibes. Prey numbers among my most hated games of all time! Prey was just a dressed up tedious version of WACK-A-MOLE! Prey was super hard with no reward. Prey's game loop was quickly tedious and boring. Prey weapons were uninspired garbage especially the goo gun. I'd rather endure an all day root canal if it saves me from playing one minute of Prey!

I agree with you; they are fair points. But does any game actually do it way better?
I think you probably come from hardcore stealth games, that's why you feel this one very light. What's your background?
@@DiegoSynth cyberpunk is a way better Deus ex. Hit man has better combat and stealth. It boggles my mind to constantly hear and read about how amazing this game is when there’s not a single thing that amazed me outside of 2005 stealth mechanics. The abilities are so lack luster. The story is by the numbers, and that gravely over the top voice make me laugh during moments that are supposed to be dramatic and suspenseful.
Alpha protocol definitely had issues but had an enjoyable atmosphere and story.
Spec Ops was indeed an absolute gem.
Prey & Alien Isolation are some of the best games i have EVER played in my life. Just fucking amazing. True Chef's Kiss.
I absolutely love(d) Blacklist! It’s different and fresh unlike 99% of today’s game(franchise)s
I'm playing Alien Isolation and loving it. True stealth (survival, not combat) game I have ever played. The heart pounding it gives you is real.
Sunset Overdrive. Simply put it was one of the best games released for the Xbox One/PS4 era and it sunk in sales.
Titan Fall 2 and Sunset Over drive are definitely MUST PLAY games. Sunset needs a remake.
My daughter and I absolutely loved Sunset Overdrive and we still launch it from time to time so she can change out the costumes and skins.
I highly recommend Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy . I was surprised how good this Marvel game is .
would you recommend performance or quality in terms of visuals?
@@Ghosst14 Depends on the game. More slow paced I choose quality. More Action then look for performance. But Personally I would try to get Performance & Quality at the same time which requires tweaking and benchmarking.
I got Alpha Protocol and liked it. It was a bit clunky but I didn't experience too much bugs anymore and while it lacked polish it was a good experience.
9:19 you forgot the little detail that the multiplayer servers on pc got hacked years ago and the multiplayer is unplayable until this day...
Splinter cell blacklist has one of the best multiplayer modes I’ve ever played.
Spies vs mercs should be it’s own game and it could become a huge esport imo.
It's CRIMINAL that Alpha Protocol and Prey aren't in anybody's top ten RPGs.
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, none of the two are even top 20, good games, but not top 10
Haven't played Alpha, but Prey is definitely one of the best games in ages. It's definitely a top 10 in years.
Alpha Protocol is in my top 10 RPGs. It's always the answer for me when someone asks "most underrated game of all time".
Another game I would say is Mad Max 2015 - The game was a masterpiece. Another one was The Sinking City
I finished it about a month ago. Great underrated gem, but definitely not a 10/10. The game definitely gets repetitive and the bosses aren’t really unique in any way. I’d say an 8.5/10
I recently re-download it. It plays like trash. It has its moments , but it really wasn't that great.
Mad max was crap
@@NikosChristos agreed 👍 still very underrated though
spec ops the line is one game that you randomly played during your teenage time and never forgets till today..
Splinter Cell Blacklist and Splinter Cell Conviction are 2 awesome games imo. I didn't really play the previous instalments, so the mechanics were brand new to me and quite enjoyable
Spec Ops The Line had a really great story. I really enjoyed it,
The most impressive thing about Alien Isolation is that it came out of a studio (Creative Assembly) whose only experience was making historical grand strategy games and two generic hack-and-slash titles.
It’d be like FromSoftware making a surprisingly good NBA game.
the Talos Principle 1 & 2, absolute masterpieces, best sci-fi puzzle games with a ton of existencial philosophy, "overwhelmly positive", but they need a lot more sales... we need a 3...
Getting Thornton Inc. Trophy on my first playthru of Alpha Protocol felt so fulfilling. The cherry on top of my decisions. Great game experience.
Thank you for mentioning at least 4 immersive sims.
Definitely the most underrated gaming genre!
Sunset overdrive gotta be the most underrated and least played game of the entire list
I played Alien Isolation very late at night after taking an edible and noped out of that game very early on. Way to high to be chased by an alien at 2am in surround sound.
I play in daylight, stone cold sober and still 💩 myself
Haaaaa,i remember playing 1st Deadspace and literally got up n turned all the effin' lights on,😂😂😂😂😂!
Immortals of Aveum was awesome. Had a lot of fun with that one.
I didn't understand all the crap certain streamers were giving it. I thought it was a solid game.
Alpha protocol was so unappreciated, love that game so much
I personally enjoyed Splinter cell Blacklist..
The game was great..
And the plot twist at the black site mission was perfect👌
Funny that half of the games you've mentioned are part of my top favorite games ever. Guardians was addicting and fun, Titanfall 2 has one of the best SP campaigns I've ever played (shame it's so short) and Deus Ex was stunning. I'll have to try others from your list, seems you're hitting spot on! :)
Sunset Overdrive looks rad. Also - Anyone that hasn't gone OLED? Do it. This video was a showcase of how great these games look
1:52 "This game screams cult classic"
Meanwhile gameplay footage was 90% standing still holding down trigger for 10 seconds
Disagree with the lack of marketing for sunset overdrive. I saw countless commercials during and after football on Sunday when it first released . Plus all the bundles it was included with. Go back and see what else released around the same time, It got overshadowed due to being unfamiliar
It's crazy that Alpha Protocol is getting recognition all these years later
I loved Deus Ex, shame they probably won’t continue Jensens story if they ever make a new one. It had a lot of potential
Alpha protocol was extremely amazing
Titanfall 2 is probably one of my most favorite FPS game. The style was fun, but I just wish they come out with a third one.
Alpha protocol is so underrated. I loved that game back in the day.
I've tried to get into Prey multiple times and I don't have a clue what I'm doing. Been stuck in the same area for hours
hmm, well. prey is a completely different game from the games you are used to. don't try to play prey like a cod campaign, my best tip is to use your creativity with the tools/abilities you are given and i also encourage you to explore every corner of the map INCLUDING THE CEILING AND BELOW THE GROUND, yes, you can use the gloo gun to climb walls. shoot at them and the gloo will dry and serve as a platform.
maybe you should watch "Immersive Sims will never be popular" by AndyPants Gaming to explain you why u are not having a good time with this game.
once you learn how to play imsims, i guarantee you will fall in love with them and will acknowledge them as the best game genre.
Believe me when I say the cover art to Sunset Overdrive didn’t help sales.
Spec Ops and Bad Co 2 are the two dopest military shooters.
Spec Ops mann
Fun fact, the dude from Alpha Protocol goes on to become the clone used for all Storm Troopers
Spec Ops: The Line is a interpretation of Joseph Conrads novel Heart of Darkness, which was the inspiration for a littel film called Apocalypse Now.
I like to call these "cult classics"
Things that didn't sell well, but get lots of love these days.
6:58 regarding Ironside, keep in mind he stepped back from the roll because he was battling cancer.
Splinter Cell Blacklist was my favourite of the lot, I feel like it got robbed of it's potential popularity.
Regarding blacklist, its not the first game that leaned towards action, it actually started with Conviction, blacklist tried to return to the core and incorporate what was good about conviction, the problem was, it came out during the last gen console lifespan and unfortunate release time
You use the same games in every video makes me not want to watch your content
No he doesn’t what are you talking about?
and your still here so it works
@@SmirnoffStalker*you’re
If you’re looking for a hidden 💎 then I would suggest Rage 2 and play it in Nightmare
@@WeirdAmerica219 i have played it when it first dropped never finished it though
Prey and Deus Ex are some of my favorites. Deus Ex Mankind Divided was the main reason for me getting a PS4
In Alpha Protocol just invest points in stealth and pistols, and it's easy mode after that. Pistols are the most OP weapons in the game.
Alien Isolation : Most infamous IGN rating
Loved Blacklist, Prey amazing gameplay, Titanfall 2 incredible story and gameplay, Deus Ex series masterpiece.
I was bummed Michael Ironside wasn't in Blacklist, but it was still a great and incredibly fun game.
What I got from you list is that Immersive Sims are, regrettably, a very underrated genre. Which sucks, because it's by far my favorite genre.
Loved Alpha Protocol. Yes it was buggy, but there’s no other game quite like AP. Jade Empire is another terrific game that was made for original Xbox, but criminally overlooked. The game just didn’t have a huge audience. Wish remakes/remasters were in the works for both of these treasures.
deus ex mankind divided I'm still gutted about that one Adam Jensen is one of the great leads in any video game ever done
I played Spec Op The line and Splinter cell blacklist when they were released and I loved them. Performance was way better even with low PC configuration. About Immortals of Aveum, I tried playing it and loved the game play, however recommended graphic requirement is too high and perform very poorly on minimum requirements.
I enjoyed Blacklist so much I had to go back and buy it again a few years ago. Now I have it on PC.
Bulletstorm was a great game that unfortunately didn’t get the love it deserved. Would’ve been good to have got a sequel to it.
Alpha protocol is one of the games that deserves a remake
It’s crazy I played every one of these games and enjoyed all of them thoroughly
Man splinter cell blacklist was such a fun game one of these days i’m totally gonna hook up my ps3 and play it again
At the time people werent aware that Micheal Ironside was battling Cancer and hence couldn’t voice Sam Fisher
Prey, Deus Ex and Alien Isolation are source of my never ending, immesurable pain.
Spec ops the line was such a great game, it would be cool to have it remastered
Can confirm Prey is DOPE. Fantastic game and atmosphere
In my personnel life and opinion the best example, it was "Shadow of Rome" from Capcom. One of the best games that I ever played. A lot of gamers didn't knew it.
My favorites Titanfall 2, Guardians of the galaxy, Spec ops the line, splinter cell, deus ex and prey.
I’m happy to say that I can personally vouch for four of these entries.
Titanfall 2 is the most fun fps campaign i have ever played...eagerly waiting for 3rd to happen.
Days Gone is still to this day, under appreciated by excluding it in this list.
