Bound By Flame was an all right game, with an insanely annoying final boss. Enslaved and Remember Me are examples of quintessential linear action-adventure games, and I want more games like this, in a wide variety of settings.

10/10 isnt necessarily "perfect." its just a score for games that are MUST PLAY. its like michelin stars. that last one means "go out of your way to go here, it is that excellent" versus having less stars decreases that urgency from "must visit or must have" to "worth a detour/this game is good" to "if youre close by, drop in/fun but never reaches its potential." etc you get the picture. and i think shadow of mordor is the only game that doesnt belong at the level we put these others games at. its dependent on you playing the next-gen (at the time but now previous gen) version and its a game thats really fun but it wasnt a generational or genre-defining title. and i say this respecting that its a good game but its all relative so seeing next to some of the other games makes it stick out as an 8/10 kind of game. still fantastic but not on any best of all time lists.

As a hollow knight fan boy, I'm glad it made the list. But also, from one fan to another, it doesn't count until you beat the absolute radiance.

Solid list, but given your game choices, I'm surprised no Rainbow Six Raven Shield. Honestly, to this day, nothing quite replaces the niche it filled. For anyone who decides to play it, make sure you open up the install directory and navigate to Save\Profiles\user.ini. Find the line "MouseSmoothingMode=1" and change it to 0 and save. Otherwise you'll have some horrible negative acceleration with modern high dpi inputs

Most of these games are not a ten and even some of Them are mediocre. Really, this last gen of gamers need to wake up to what makes a game fun.

Never seen Bound by Flame before, but looks like a throwback to the classic PS3/360 era of RPG & adventure games I enjoy, so might give that a go, especially as it's £1.79 on UK PSN at the moment 👍
