Bro think about ALL the other horrible things WWE and Vince covered up like that Jimmy Snuka murder case. You have to figure Snuka murdered his GF and Vince covered it up so Snuka can wrestle.
I remember back when I was in college I did some research for ptsd and came across some alarming statistics in regards to the R word in the military and when I brought it up during my speech the entire room went silent. It’s like something you know goes on but bo one is allowed to speak on because military folk we are suppose to praise
Yes--my Dad is ex-military, and I've spoken to vets directly about their experiences. Many are either abusers or abused, more than most would like to imagine. Sadly, it seems there is a sickness and a culture of silence in the system of any militia.
Same here. My heart still aches for that young lady. I’ve been saying it a lot, these past few weeks- I wish Ashley could’ve held on a while longer. I understand the trauma, anger, hurt, and pain she was surely feeling for too many weeks, months, and years. I think a lot of women know that hurt. Obviously not on the scale of our abuser(s) being insanely wealthy people in positions of authority and power, as I am certain that makes shit all the more frightening, but the core and the root is something many women (I’d say most of us) have experienced and we have felt or are still feeling. Ashley really seemed like such a beautiful human. I mean it. She really tried and she seemed to be doing most everything to better the life and future of herself, but moreover, her daughter. It’s odd to feel such empathy and respect for a woman I never knew or even met, but I absolutely feel for Ashley and her daughter. I really respect how so many of the other female talent and wrestlers seemed to come together after Ashley’s death, to help out the daughter she left behind. Give it 2-3 years, and I expect to see some sort of “surviving Vince McMahon/WWF/WWE” type of movement and docuseries. Sadly, so many of the women that likely had A LOT to share, are dead. Just so fucking sad. I really hope that Dark Side of the Ring will do one huge season just unpacking ALL of this shit (in a year or two). I’m looking forward to this upcoming season. Mostly the episode about Sherri! I loved her so much. She was a great talent and she was actually so gifted in the ring.
I can't wait to hear Jim's thoughts on the bombshell news from Ashley's friend that Ashley Massaro told Stephanie McMahon personally and Stephanie refused to help her.
We don't know if that is true. Ashley daughter came out and Said "the friend" has not spoke to her mom in years and isn't a family friend. So I would be weary of what that "friend" stated.
The story of them trying to silence a woman who was sexually assaulted in order to keep a good relationship with the armed forces going sounds about par for the course.
It was around the time Ashley said Vince was making out with Divas that *_Bruce told Francine that she needs to go in Vince's office with oiled up milkers_* and ask what he would like in return for her push.
I really don't think the situation where Vince urged a rape victim to keep quiet is going to be worse than the situation where he raped someone himself, used her as a tool in a contract negotiation and then urged her to keep quiet. But I could be wrong.
@@Fozzie420 it’s been told for years now yall care lol. Anyway he’s been accused of much worse so idk how it will make them look worse since they are accused of much worse I can’t think of anything worse than Johnny ace snitching
I don't understand why Vince and Johnny didn't just go with Ashley to meet the base commanding officer to report the incident and identify the army doctor concerned. The guy could've been quietly court marshalled and charged and the matter could've been dealt with there and then in a way that gave justice to Ashley but prevented bad publicity for the military/WWE.
Ashley's best friend just did an interview and said that Stephanie was ordered to handle the situation to make Ashley comfortable and get ashley to open up and then when it came down to the board meeting, Stephanie sided with the board and three Ashley under the bus. Maybe that's why Stephanie left because she knew about her dad and didn't want to testify against him. It looks like she knew and said nothing.
Stephanie’s name has been added to this now. Ashley’s friend was on a news station speaking about Ashley and what she went through, and she brought up Stephanie’s name as Vince wanted Stephanie to basically help him keep Ashley quiet.

I said it the second the original story got leaked, and I stand by it. I firmly believe that Stephanie is the one that leaked it. All of the events line up perfectly, and it just makes sense. That is the only way to explain why HHH got demoted for no reason, and Stephanie left when she did. I hope it comes out one day. If they did leak it, they should go public to keep their own names out of the mud. HHH is really turning the creative end of WWE around, and I would hate to see him get caught up in the crossfire.
@@stingrey1571him coming back to sell the company tells me that there was a ton of drama and Vince wanted to control WWE on his own terms. The fact this info keeps coming out definitely screams one of two things: 1. Somebody is set on burying Vince. 2. If he knew and covered it up he should be gone too! His creative ain't all that anyway he learned everything from Vinces knee and admitted he phoned Vince for advice on creative when Vince was at home during his 1rst "retirement"! Explains a lot!
Stephanie definitely knew this was going on she left right as Vince was coming back... that tells me she knew alot about what was going on. They need to sit her down and see what she knew.
I hope we get to hear from the various other former WWE Divas that Vince & Johnny Ace went through... Christy Hemme, Dawn Marie, and the whole slew of women that were hired via lingerie catalogs... Christy Hemme did cut a very interesting promo on IMPACT Wrestling year's ago... I remember it involving V.K.M. (Voodoo Kin Mafia) that definitely correlates with what is going on right now... She needs to be heard...
During the NDA investigation it was rumored the one of the settlements was with Hemme. Don't know if that's for sure, but that was the talk at the time
Does anyone think Sable got the push she did because Vince was getting what he would openly dream about as Jim has mentioned numerous times? Her in white cotton panties but behind closed doors. She was even brought back in 2003 for no real reason whatsoever and was by his side in promos and such and even ends up marrying Brock who has his own issues that Vince assisted in as we've already heard. Who knows what other women Vince pimped out to the beast incarnate at that and Sable probably isnt too mad about it because she also has dirty history with Vince, Her husband's boss. This thing could get really out of hand
Not to mention she was horrible at promos and in ring work and had no real talent besides her looks and was paid very well for it. Kind of all adds up but in her case it might've obviously been consensual for what she got out of it
Very likely, but also because she was hugely over at the time, even WCW wrestlers said when she was on TV the ratings for that qtr hour would swing drastically. In '03 it was probably because they thought she could draw ratings again.
I love when Jim told that story, "White cotton panties?! What the f**ks a matter with you?! Are you fixated on your grandmother or your grandfather?" 🤣
@12:48 - so Corny never saw the TRUE rise of Trish Stratus. Or Stacy Keibler. Or Torrie Wilson. Because that was all on the TV screen and that was old Vince. And didn't Sable get a taste at a point?

Every villain meets their karma at some point. It's just a question of when and how. The courts on the outside couldn't bring him down only those from the inside brought him down from within. That's the only way to take down a dictator regime.
WWE said they didn't want to pursue the people who assaulted Ashley on that trip because they didn't want to damage their relationship with the military, That's BS! Stand by your workers. I'm sure they wouldn't have just let it go had it been Stephanie that it happened to. They didn't think she was as important as their Tribute to the Troops shows. They wanted to keep doing their shows so they brushed her vicious assault under the rug. The WWE should have worked with the military to hold those people accountable, because if they'll do that to her, God knows who else they've done it to. They were brazen enough to do it to WWE Guests, imagine what they'd do to an ordinary woman. People like that must be stopped. Even if that means no more Tribute to the Troops, you should stand by your talent and work with the military to find the culprits. This was a fail for the WWE.
I’m starting to wonder if Vincent, maybe tried something on with Miss Elizabeth back in the day, and as a payback, maybe, just maybe Macho decided to nail the bosses daughter, so to speak! Just a thought, though !!
There is almost zero chance that Prichard and Dunn didn't know what was going on behind the scenes with Vince. They were his right hand men for decades.
So was Taker and he's maintained radio silence about this even tho he's doing his one man shows all over the place and he's doing his own podcast on YT! I'd love one person had the balls to ask him did you know anything about this? Ain't gonna happen cos he's Taker so of course that let's him off the hook!
My only question on the 'we didn't cover it up' thing is, did they just ask her to not go PUBLIC??? In other words, did they quietly ask the military to investigate while promising to not take the incident to the press so as to not damage the reputation of the entire military institution over the actions of an individual???
I keep thinking about it, and how Cornette says this is not the same Vince he knew. And if you look at the timeline of when Jim left, and then look back on the storylines of WWE, specifically ones including Vince. We all know them, Trish, Sable, all the other sexual and weird degrading storylines, all the bra and panties matches, the HLA etc. Vince thought if he can make them do all this gross shit on tv, well maybe he can start doing it behind the scenes. It makes sense. 2001ish and on, and how Vince changed on air and I guess behind the scenes as well.

It was really a different era regarding women when Jim was there, Tammy was reluctant to do the things Sable did so she got shit canned, & if Tammy was fucked around with then I doubt Jim wouldn't say anything. Who knows with Trish, & Sable was probably the first to be trafficked, the other girls then were wrestlers but didn't last long when the Diva's era started. When the Diva's era started girls were in & out of the roster a lot for the first 6-7 years, that's when the Laurinaitis era started too, that's more than likely where he began the abuse because he had the most power of the business & ties to TV & movies then. To be honest I think Grant was in on all of it! She wasn’t trafficked or anything. She was down for all of it because of the money.
The fact they knew about Ashley Massaro's rape and did nothing is pretty disgusting. They did everything to bury the case which ultimately resulted in her passing away .

I hope what ever settlement there is Ashley's daughter gets some money

TALKING about being assaulted would hurt WWE's relationship with the military...but BEING ASSAULTED doesn't?
I don't understand why Vince and Johnny didn't just go with Ashley to meet the base commanding officer to report the incident and identify the army doctor concerned. The guy could've been quietly court marshalled and charged and the matter could've been dealt with there and then in a way that gave justice to Ashley but prevented bad publicity for the military/WWE.
Chain of command may've been in on it. You think the playmates on USO tours, Miss Americas, etc. were just eye candy?
Ashley's best friend just did an interview and said that Stephanie was ordered to handle the situation to make Ashley comfortable and get ashley to open up and then when it came down to the board meeting, Stephanie sided with the board and three Ashley under the bus. Maybe that's why Stephanie left because she knew about her dad and didn't want to testify against him. It looks like she knew and said nothing.
Really because Ashley’s daughter said that friend wasn’t a close friend at all & that everything she said has to be taken with a grain of salt.

@@stingrey1571him coming back to sell the company tells me that there was a ton of drama and Vince wanted to control WWE on his own terms.
The fact this info keeps coming out definitely screams one of two things:

If he knew and covered it up he should be gone too! His creative ain't all that anyway he learned everything from Vinces knee and admitted he phoned Vince for advice on creative when Vince was at home during his 1rst "retirement"! Explains a lot!

Kind of all adds up but in her case it might've obviously been consensual for what she got out of it
I was about to say, she didn't get by on her ability.
Very likely, but also because she was hugely over at the time, even WCW wrestlers said when she was on TV the ratings for that qtr hour would swing drastically. In '03 it was probably because they thought she could draw ratings again.

Aped? Thanks Roseanne.
Laurinaitis is so skeezy and weasel-y, I'm not suprised Vince kept him so close.

The rumours back then was Savage was sleeping with Stef n Vince was trying to get him to sign a new contract!
There is almost zero chance that Prichard and Dunn didn't know what was going on behind the scenes with Vince. They were his right hand men for decades.

They buried her accusations and made her out to be a liar! She wrote a deposition about it what happened to that! They haven't found it till now!

Corny knew Vince real well. Real real well.
