I don't think HHH has any responsibility at all. I think Stephanie found out before HHH's heart attack, and things soured between them and Vince. When HHH had his heart attack, Vince took the opportunity to remove him from power. Stephanie then retaliated by leaking the original information. Then she quit. They came back while Vince was gone, and by the time he came back, HHH worked himself into a position where Vince was not able to get rid of him. They tolerated each other until this blew up. I don't know what anyone expected HHH to say. There will likely be years of legal disputes arising from this. It makes no sense for HHH to risk saying anything that could make it worse for WWE. None of the sequence of events made any sense at the time, but it does if HHH & Stephanie were the ones who broke the story. It explains why they have been publicly avoiding Vince for the most part since HHH's heart attack.

I thought it was similar to Mark McGwire too before the guy said it! When you get pulled over for speeding, tell the officer: "I don't want to talk to you about negative things, lets be positive."
I’ve never been a huge Triple H mark but I do think everyone forgets he had just spent the week planning and producing one of the most important Royal Rumbles in recent memory, with the Netflix deal, with Rock joining the board, with planning and prep for multiple foreign PLE’s coming up very quickly. He wasn’t sitting at home in his underwear reading IWC message boards. I can identify with someone who, after a hellacious week would say, “hey, you know I can’t discuss it in detail anyway, so can I just focus on the huge stuff myself and the company just accomplished.” He had literally just stepped away from producing the Royal Rumble. I think it’s helpful to keep that in mind. Where would your head be at?
I think any reasonable person, much less an employer, should VASTLY show more concern over his employees' alleged sexual assaults than his PPV numbers and wrestling matches. If you worked at a grocery store, and multiple people claimed they were raped/SA'd there, and when probed, the manager just responded with sales numbers and new products on the shelf, how would you feel about him and his company? Why should this be any different?
Why do Trip and Shawn have the exact same gravely voice and cadence when they speak? This sounds like Shawn Michaels talking, just as much as it sounds like Paul.
Its an ongoing investigation externally, not within the company. He probably cant say much, like Brian said. If the company declared that it took the allegations seriously, then you say "we are taking it seriously." If the company rubbishes the allegations and gives no credence to it, you say "we reject the allegations". Don't make any promises that weren't expressly stated by the company. WWE is a publicly traded company. Therefore, Triple H has to answer to people above him. AEW is NOT a publicly traded company, last I checked. Tony Khan has the freedom to go on his tangents, take jabs at WWE or dodge questions about his company without any repercussions.
The apparent understanding here about Hunter making a hash of an answer to a question of much more import than the one the Tony dealt with at the World's End speaks to how daft it is to take any of these comments seriously at any point.
My personal opinion is that they all knew something, to a certain extent. When they eventually tossed him out, Vince just used his stockholder/majority owner position to strong-arm his way back in... AND brought his cronies with him as well. Steph leaving and Hunter having a heart attack only made things worse, and it showed/felt like nobody had the power to force Vince out and keep him out. Thank God that Endeavor bought in with 51% majority, because that was pretty much the ONLY way to get rid of Vince. It must have sucked for Hunter having to think of his wife and his three daughters while having to answer these questions. It doesn't excuse his roundabout answers, but that certainly must have played into his entire thought process.
I believe it did happen at the same time. At the end of the day even if he knew about it or didn't know about it he wasn't responsible for it. Let's not try to hold him accountable for his bosses actions. I'm not saying you're doing that just for people out there.
The right answer to question 1 is: We looked into it and felt the evidence didn't prove the allegations. If more evidence has come out since our investigation, we will look at it on it's merits. But at this stage we have to say it's only allegations and Vince is innocent until proven guilty.

It’s actually an easy answer to give. Just re-state/reiterate the statement that TKO already had put out. Then, reference your daughters at home. Next, make it clear how seriously you personally take, & the company as a whole takes, these “extremely serious allegations”. That’s ALL you say. 💯

The apparent understanding here about Hunter making a hash of an answer to a question of much more import than the one the Tony dealt with at the World's End speaks to how daft it is to take any of these comments seriously at any point.
In this month's issue of Highlights, the parts of Goofus and Gallant will be played by HHH and Cody Rhodes.
Has anyone photoshopped the poofy hat and shades on Triple H?
Not sure about the timeline, but wasn’t Triple H going through his heart issues while these alleged incidents took place?
I looked it up, because I was wondering the same thing. The woman worked for WWE from '19-'22. Trips had his "cardiac event" towards the end of '21

That's under the assumption it only happened then and hasn't been going on for years
The right answer to question 1 is: We looked into it and felt the evidence didn't prove the allegations. If more evidence has come out since our investigation, we will look at it on it's merits. But at this stage we have to say it's only allegations and Vince is innocent until proven guilty.

Triple h had surgery on his heart in 2021 same year thus supposedly happened
Same year alot people had a heart problem? Wonder sometimes 😮
He answered like he was supposed to. He didn't have to explain shit. That's not his job. He's not implicated in anything. He wasn't focused on the bullshit, he's focused on running the business.
People also have to consider that there are 6 grandchildren that will have to go to school from middle school to college, in Shane’s son’s case. He’s in a hell of a position there. I agree he should have e said at least a little non answer, like Corny said. However, he has to be waaaaaaaaay more careful than everyone else. As a father, I can’t imagine
Exactly this. This isn't some scripted storyline. There are real live people to consider in all this besides the talent people watch on TV every week.
No, he shouldn't have said what Jim Corvette would have said because if Jim cordett would have said it he would have had so many follow-up questions because he would have opened the door for the media to pounce on him with other questions about Vince McMahon and the allegations. He went straight to shutting it down and focusing on the pay-per-view and the Netflix deal and the positives. That's what you're supposed to do. That's PR 101.
@@flyguy7825If you think that Triple H handled it as PR 101, you don't know anything about PR.
I really like seeing everyone on here goes "he should have just said..."
Meanwhile, they have never been in any situation even remotely comparable to this. I wonder how many of these people even had a single live microphone in front of them? Had they ever been interviewed? Had they even done as little as speak at their sibling's wedding?
It's really really easy when it's not your own skin in the game. It's really easy when you know your own kids aren't going to have to live with this.
"Triple H should have just.." yeah, right.
@@randomlyfactual1943that's because everyone is looking at this as a TV series rather than real life and falling to understand that real investigations especially ones this big don't play out like people think it does on tv while not also considering how these people feel to on a personal level. Everyone wants them to be guilty for whatever reason and to see this play out like a show for entertainment for their own amusement and nothing else
I bet anything shawn Michael's knows all ! That's y he got away with so much with Vince. So many stories of Vince letting him especially off the hook for shit
Blackmail is helluva drug.
People wanted Triple H to speak on this so they could try to decipher it to see if he knew what was going on. He said what he was supposed to say.
You are just another sheep in the herd
We know he knew everything that was going on. It's literally in the court documents.
@@derpderpin1568 I read it. Where was his name mentioned?
@@churchjones1758It wasn't.
@@scottcoval7547 I know, I'm just trying to figure out why'd he just lie like that.
The PR team and HHH should have had a pre-written statement at the beginning of the press conference addressing the situation and reference back to the statement with any follow up questions.
Maybe something along the lines of "its a lot to take in. We're still processing this mentally and emotionally."
That sounds legit enough. If I just found out my father in law liked pooping on people that would take a minute to click
Triple H sounded terrible. Jim gave the perfect response.
Tbh, it didn't help that Cody gave a phenomenal answer right before while Triple H straight up dodged every single one.
With that said, even politicians give answers in a roundabout way to disguise the fact that they're not answering it... Triple H just straight up ignored every single one. He definitely needs to be coached in the future or simply say "I can't comment on an ongoing investigation".
