Cuddeback Trail Camera: FW Update & NEW Powerhouse Cell Set Up

- In this video, I walk through updating the firmware on your cameras this works with J, G, and K series cams. The newest version is 8.2 so look for that, on cuddeback.com, download "get gen 2 FW" onto an SD card. I show you exactly how to update and run through the interface of the new camera if you're not familiar with the process. Also I run through how to set up a cell plan and link your camera to your CAMP account or Cell management account on Cuddeback's website. Thank you for watching, be sure to like and subscribe. Do you have to keep putting the firmware on the chip after downloading it to each camera or does it copy it to the camera and leave it on the chip?
You can use the same card to update each camera!
Sorry just subscribed! I watched your cuddeback setup for the k series, i just got mine and set it up exactly like you did and the test came through perfect but not sending pics on my phone, i didnt upload new firmware do you think that is the issue, i thought it was just where i just set it up to pay with cuddeback because i did walk in front of camera after i set it up but almost a week later still havent recieved any pics, i recieved a text this morning a 4 a.m and it was a test that i didnt do, my camera is on my lease! Do i need to load new firmware for it to work??
No you do not need the new firmware for the camera to send pictures but it wouldn’t hurt to try and upload the new one on there. I don’t know why it wouldn’t be sending you pictures if the test came through. Do you have a pretty good cell service where you put the camera out?
Well i dont know what the problem is, im fixing to go get it and see if i can figure something out, i knew it couldnt be that easy
I know at my house i have good enough signal and i tried it here 3 or 4 times before i took it to my lease and didnt work either, not really aure on the lease.I put it up on a high point, so it could get the best signal possible

How long does it take for the cell
Plan to be activated?
Sorry for the late reply, it normally only takes a few minutes for cell plans to be activated.
If the camera box doesn't have the sticker, do you still need to update the firmware?
Most likely you’ll have to update the firmware. You can check the fw ver under the command menu.

@@bigfootmountainvacation it says a number like 7.6 or 7.9 the newest one I believe is 8.3 it’s on their website. Along with directions.
Aren't you supposed to be able to add multiple cameras to one cell plan? If so, how come when I add a second camera, it ask me for cc information?
@@bigfootmountainvacation you can’t add multiple cell cameras per one cell plan. You can add remote cameras that link to your cell camera so that you are running multiple cameras per plan, but you can’t run more than one cell cam per plan.

Man I just got these cuddy links. There photo quality is complete shit. I have older cuddy I love. And are way better. I got them all set to 20mp. And. If deer are more than 10 yards from camera. You zoom in on photos. You can't even tell it's a deer in the field. Totally disappointed
Are you looking at the pics that are sent to your phone or ones on the card? They only send you a thumbnail version over the phone but when you pull the card they are crystal clear.
Over the phone. What's the point in a cell plan and link. Etc. If I gotta still go pull cards to see what's walking by
@@coreylukes2390 I mean my cell pics are a little blurry but I can still see what they are. I don’t know maybe you need to change the settings on your LEDs so that you get a little bit brighter night pictures.
