    Oh.. I am going just to one place in Australia and that's Perth for a whole 2 weeks. Airfare is ridiculously very expensive now . Booked Sin - Perth return ✈️ from SIA costing 3600 for 2 person which is more than 50% increment. Been to most part of Australia but never been to Perth yet and that's why me and my partner intend to visit this place. Thanks for showing us around. 👍♥️⭐

    Interesting to hear about my city from a different perspective, I knew you were going to say you missed the food the most about Singapore, LOL. I have colleagues from Singapore & Malaysia & Indonesia who all say they miss the food the most, sadly at the moment they are also copping quite a bit of racism with Covid, even my Filipino friend has been yelled at by some bogan accusing her of causing it (?!?). Hope you guys are OK, we do have a gloriously beautiful city and state, but has it's downs like everywhere. My son was randomly stabbed in Northbridge early in year, he's fine thankfully, was superficial, but terrifying as someone pissed and aggro just ran up and stabbed him, could have been anyone. Fri & Sat nights in N'bridge are best avoided, so be careful guys, a lot of drunken bogans out for trouble for no immediately obvious reason. Love the big eyes of the boobook, I hear them sometimes at night, so beautiful.

      You'd be surprised at the nationalist sentiment building up in the UK post brexit, Ive been trying to convince my wife that we should try migrating to Perth for years and since COVID broke out and after the way the government treated healthcare professionals she's decided she's all for it, sorry to hear your son was injured, it happens a lot here too, even with the current situation, I hope he's not hurt psychologically. I'm an Italian immigrant and have been in the UK since i was 13, was never really able to call it home, i feel like Perth could be the right move for me, taking control of my life and destiny in a place which quite frankly is unlike any other i have visited, you are very lucky to be able to call Perth home :) i hope i can too soon!

    • @Thehoverover
      @Thehoverover  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry to hear that about your son. Hope he's better now! Indeed, Northbridge has its share of troubles and we've even witnessed a couple of incidents. So we avoid walking on the streets late at night. But looking at the pros of it, we love the food options here!

    • @kooltom4
      @kooltom4 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Thehoverover Thanks he's fine, & yes the food is great in the area! I think it's mostly late Fri & Sat nights that it takes a nasty turn with people actually coming in to N'bridge for aggro. Being aware & cautious is best, overall it is safe 99% of the time in Perth/WA 😄

    I agree with your point about the Singapore public transport system. I live in Perth and visit Singapore annually and would take their public transport everywhere I go, and can’t remember the last time I took a taxi. I also agree with you about the different life style, however; I would equate this with the quality of life. I do enjoy myself tremendously in Singapore, despite the humidity; but do look forward in coming home to Perth. Good on you for being a volunteer and we thank you for that. I hope that Perth leaves fond and lasting memories for you and your husband, when you return to Singapore; and we welcome you back.

      Thank you! We absolutely love the lifestyle in Perth and the vast nature it has to offer. We often take spontaneous road trips during the weekends and it recharges us for the following week. Singapore has its merits too, such as its readily accessible public transport system like you mentioned, and will appeal to urban folks that prefer more city-centric activities.

    Great video, i know owning a car in singapore is quite expensive and for modifying and repairs they have very strict laws. We are planning on moving to Perth in the next few years from the UK, I visited once when i was 15 and i was amazed at the air quality and sky/lack of pollution.

    • @Thehoverover
      @Thehoverover  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're absolutely right about expensive car ownership in Singapore. On top of paying for the car, we are required to purchase a Certificate of Entitlement (COE) which can easily cost us another S$30k+.
      Best of luck with your relocation! You will love the amount of sunshine Perth has to offer.

      Hey there! Well I once had an orange spider that’s about 5-8cm long jump onto me while I was at a toilet in a national park,which gave me quite a shock haha. And you’ll spot them from time to time at parks. But other than that, I didn’t have other encounters with spiders. Possibly because I live in an apartment, hence less chances of them entering the flat.

They are amazing. Thank you for share your video with all of us who never been in this most beautiful Country: Autralia.🐻🤝

We have 2-yr old boy and will put great school zone, supermarket facilities, recreational parks in consideration. Thank you in advance ^o^/

    • @Thehoverover
      @Thehoverover  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there, it took me about a year. The job market was doing badly as we moved right before the pandemic hit. Regardless, I'd recommend finding a part-time or contract job in the meantime to gain local AU experience, as that'd increase your chances of being employed full-time :)

    Being in WA, Have you encountered any snakes or spiders when you explore the parks or just outdoors ? On top that I mean this is so ridiculous but I have seen snakes pop-up from the toilet and they say it's more common in Perth. Is that true ? Thanks in advance

    • @Thehoverover
      @Thehoverover  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Spider, yes! I once had an orange spider land on my leg while using the bathroom at a regional park. Thankfully it just ran away. No encounters with snakes though, possibly because we live in an apartment hence it's not quite likely for them to appear in the toilet. Didn't hear any encounters from our friends living in houses either. :)
