Man!!! You are indeed cleaver. I knew i can use a TPS all along since basically is just a rotator. My needs for the TPS is for enabling advance in my VW Bug with electronic ignition; the TPS sends the signal to a knock sensor unite which advance timing based in the opening of the Throttle Body. I was thinking to put it directly to the carb throttle, but with your idea it seems much easer to do it. Thanks for the video!!!! Wisdom rocks!
I have a 1956 that I am trying to put a 454 but I don't know what kinda Transmission to use.. The one your talking about Is it electronics and does it have a computer to run it..
I am using a 4l80e that uses a controoler made by usshift.com I suggest you use a turbo 400 it will hold up to the 454 with no electronics needed, but it does not have overdrive. Have you joined trifive.com yet it is free. Te guys with help you with all the answers. otis :)
@@trentonlasky1861no stand-alone computer is needed with a th400. But if your rearend gearing is higher than 4:11 then your gonna want something with an overdrive like the 4L80E which is basically a newer version of the th400 but with the overdrive and the need for a standalone computer (like the US Shift quick 2). The TPS in this video is what tells the computer what position the throttle is and the rpms and it will shift the 4L80E.
Just did this to my 94 gmc c1500 5.7 with 4l60e I did your method works like a charm and you saved me tons of money big thanks man
This is a great idea to use when converting a TBI truck with a 4l60e over to carb. Great tip.
I think this is better than the tps kit! Thank you so much for posting this.

Nicely done!
Thanks man, good thinking 👍👍
how did you 1. attach and 2. terminate the cable ends? Drill holes in clevis? Crimp a ring/eyelet? Lead sinker?
