That cat doing the camshaft sensor!
M - 😂 has to pay the bills somehow
The cat is the real mechanic!
R - Haha how'd you know!
I'm having many of the symptoms described with my Ram 1500, but not getting a check engine light/code. Is there a way to use a testing device to test the camshaft position sensor if I'm not getting the fault code?
L - If you remove the sensor, you can measure the resistance between the two connector terminals.
My 1998 dodge ram 1500 5.9 stalls at red lights so I gotta put it in park and give it gas so it doesn't die or if its dying i gotta keep pushing the gas to get through the green light. Or I gotta pull into a parking lot and turn the truck off then back on so it gets it pull power again. Can anyone help?
E - Are you getting a check engine light? Or getting any engine codes? We have a video on stalling that may be helpful here: th-cam.com/video/7bqAIbYRdnc/w-d-xo.html
@@8020Media my engine light comes on. I already changed a sensor but now it started doing this. I'm scared I'm gonna wreck with my kids in the car cause I gotta keep turning the truck off at red lights
E - Do you happen to have a way to pull your engine codes? This would help us help you when it comes to diagnosis.
Cats working harder than dude
T - lol
shop cat checkin in on operations
K - Haha sure is!
2011 Dodge ram 1500 4.7 l have change Cam and crankshaft still having problems cranking
J - We have a great video that may help with your research: th-cam.com/video/0YRdzJbHcm4/w-d-xo.html
Is it normal for a new camshaft sensor,to make a clicking noise, when idling?
P - Are you sure it's the sensor that's clicking?
Hello I replaced the crankshaft sensor and the entire camshaft on my 02 jeep wrangler and it still won’t start, it doesn’t seem to be getting gas, do you know what the issue could be?
B - Are you getting any engine codes?
Spray starter fluid into the intake while cranking it if it starts up or tries to start up then you have a fuel problem if it doesn't start up or try to start up didn't you have a spark problem it's possible that by changing the sensors that it may need to be calibrated if you put your ear next to the gas tank while somebody tries to start the vehicle you should hear the fuel pump come on if you have a pressure gauge you can check the fuel rail and see if it's got correct fuel pressure
The vehicle is powered by a 1.0 Kittie Large Engine
A - ??
Ive got a Citroen nemo hdi 1.3 hard to start on a morning then fires up eventually then will basically not start again when warm and no codes had new temperature sensor but if you push it off it starts straight away got me baffled😂
M - We have a great video for this: th-cam.com/video/0YRdzJbHcm4/w-d-xo.html
Hi on my truck the code is P0014 on a 2004 gmc envoy and it says camshaft position sensor is that correct?
A - There's a few causes for this. Low or dirty engine oil, VVT solenoid or actuator, timing chain or belt. It most likely isn't the camshaft position sensor, but it is possible.
@@8020MediaI have 2011 gmc terrain I replaced all the things that you named. Plus the ecm. Still getting a code that it's not reading the camshaft position sensor and no start.
K - Sorry to hear this. Have you taken it to a shop?
Is it possible for a cam sensor to be bad and not throw a code for it? I have a rich running code in both banks and I have good fuel pressure, new plugs, coils and wires.
D - Possible, but not likely.
Yes
Hello kitty!
???
2:55 cat jumps on desk forcing an edit.
D - Lol. this is correct
Hey Zach we replaced to heads on a 02 Tacoma and upon start we got a P0340. New code after head replacement. When we try to reset it with scan tool comes right back. Do we need smarter tool or could it just be CPS? You cat solved your sensor issue our dog is no help!
M - Difficult to tell especially after replacing the heads.. Are you experiencing any symptoms? Haha, he loves to be in the garage when we're working on cars.
im getting a code P0017 Crankshaft position- Exhaust camshaft position not plausible DTC buick enclave 2008
J - Did you watch the video?
Bro smart 👌🏽
P - Thanks for the feedback! We hope it helps.
2012 camaro ss 6.2 with p0208 an p0300 i cant figure it out i just bought the car like this i replaced the engine wiring harness an only have these two codes now
G - We have a great video on P0300 that may be helpful with your research: th-cam.com/video/f1mQ5hD1-vI/w-d-xo.html
Hello, I just wanted to know the location of the camshaft position sensor
W - What vehicle do you have?
2007audie q7 4.2
D - ?
@8020Media 2017 Hyundai Accent SE Hatchback
Currently sitting on my bench
So could a bad CMP potentially cause a P0016 code (bad VVT)?
S - Absolutely!
My 2018 Hyundai Tucson won't go past 4ph without shaking and no check engine light on
U - Do you have any engine codes?
so i have a 2003 audi tt that runs perfect until you floor it at 6500 rpm it won't shift and it will throw a cylinder 3 or random misfire code and the car will not shift i know it is not the spark plugs or coils because i have swapped them
M - We have a full video on misfires that may be helpful here: th-cam.com/video/f1mQ5hD1-vI/w-d-xo.html
Hi so I had a rattle during cold start before getting my timing chain replaced along with oil separator , camshaft thing and a few other thing but my engine is still rattling on cold starts but no check engine light
What could it be
T - Our guess would have been the timing chain. Guessing you took it to a shop?
What about obd 11 error fault code P000B, could that indicate a bad cmp sensor? 2015 RAM 2500
M - It's certainly possible. That code is associated with the camshaft.
Hey what makes your car stuck in 3rd gear but the engine light is on and the code is p0390
If you're getting a P0390 I'd take a look at the camshaft position sensor for sure - whether that would cause your transmission to get stuck in 3rd or not is a good question. Try doing some searching on your specific engine and trans, I suppose it's possible that it could somehow be connected but otherwise I'd be looking at transmission related issues, try reading transmission codes if you can not just engine codes
i have a question, i got a code for a cam sensor on my g35, i no you said it can not start at all but mine has no crank no start everything work, when the crank sensor went out it took a long time to crank up the car but it still started, i replaced it but when the cam sensors went out it doesn't start at all just a click sound, i was wondering is it the cam sensor, starter or battery kinda low? i haven't replace the cam sensor yet
R - We have some great videos that we think may be helpful here: th-cam.com/video/0YRdzJbHcm4/w-d-xo.html
Check your starter or battery voltage
And a faulty cam can cause a no start
@@Kcduane I replaced the cam sensors and the starter yesterday and it was the starter thanks 🙏
R - Glad to hear you got it resolved!
My 2007 ford f150 5.4 litter.
has a P0345 and P0349 codes
My truck starts just fine, it idles just fine, but I have to let idle for at least 10/15 min. Other wise it will immediately stall when I put it in gear, Drive or reverse.
This only Happens in cool and even worse in cold mornings.
When it's warm out not a problem.
Please help!!!!
Thank you God bless you.
J - Have you replaced the CMP?
@@8020Media no, I haven't
J - Would be a good starting point.
I had a CMP code on my Ford but it turned out to be a hairball.
D - ???
@@8020Media Cat joke. My cat supervises any project im involved with.
D - Ain't that the truth. haha
I just bought my g35 when I bought it all it did was crank and I sprayed some starter fluid in the intake and it started right up so I was think it’s was fuel pump , replaced the fuel pump , still no start just crank , it don’t show codes for cam or crank , shows no codes at all no check engine light , replaced 1 camchaft position sensor on the passenger side , and replaced spark plugs still just crank no start , fuel up is working, I’m gonna replace other camshaft sensor and crank , if nothing what else could it be .?
N - We have a video specifically for this that we think would be helpful: th-cam.com/video/0YRdzJbHcm4/w-d-xo.html
My vw toureag went into limp mode! What could that be! It’s showing a lot of misfires and camshaft codes
L - What codes specifically?
