I`ve just got this problem. I change the gearbox last week and the only sensor I moved was the crank sensor. I work with robots at work and it`s always sensors that causes trouble. See how it goes.
I own a 2008 kla sadonea the car starts fine and idles fine so what else would cause the check engine light to come just to to let you know the car starts fine and it will accel with no hestion?
Most of the time, it’s recommended to start with replacing the camshaft sensor first since it’s easier to replace. If problems persists then you move to the crankshaft. I’m currently dealing with this and the crankshaft is next.
@@rasheeddozier6083 I’m glad we’re all struggling with this together lol let’s stay updated! I’m getting my camshaft sensor replaced within the next week or two so expect a comment back from me shortly after the new year.

Too little description of the manual labour. For a three pin sensor, how do you measure any voltage when the sensor is connected and all the pins are hidden?
My car won't start after driving when engine is hot, only crank very short and cut off, if i wait about 2h it starts right away, car drives normally always no any other issues or symptoms. .any ide ?? Strarter or sensor or something else?
what do you mean “reconnect the sensor and measure the voltage between the signal wire and ground” ? where do i put my volt meter leads if it’s plugged in ?
When the sensor is plugged in, back-probe the signal wire (refer to your vehicle's wiring diagram). Place the multimeter's positive lead on the signal wire and the negative lead to a ground. Set the multimeter to DC volts, then crank the engine to measure the fluctuating voltag
Some engines can start but the rpm not working and you look these symptoms at acceleration and Misfire at this time you make sure the cranck shaft p sensor not working
I have a 2010 chevy Malibu ltz v6 vvt3.6, my car will start fine, once i turn it off it might start again and there are times when it takes up to 7 hours to restart again. At one point the car started and was running when i turned the key acc, what could be the issue if someone wouldn't mind helping out a bit.

Fantastic great job
Omg I've been burning through gas for a month. I just bought the part I'm getting my mechanic to change it
Thanks for the info and good explanation thank you again and god bless! Merry Christmas and Advanced Happy New year!
Always use scan tool to detected the sensor
Exerlent explaination,,.🙏🙏
GOD BLESS YOU
Wouldn't bad cps make your tachometer go backwards when you hit the gas ? And have a rough idle ?

Computer says 1 bank exhaust oxy sensor plus IPDM but I don`t think it`s IPDM as things are still working like headlights etc.

It could be as simple as a loose or dirty gas cap. Take it off and wipe it clean, then put it back on and tighten it.
How do i know it its the crankshaft or camshaft sensor? They have the exact same symptoms

Yes bro i have same issue

What happens if you use 1.8 crankshaft sensor in a 1.6 vehicle can the engine performance will affected
Get the right sensor
Why thermostat? It always reaches operating temperature and not overheating, one guy told me coolant tem sensor
Mine does hesitate somtimes misses during idle Subaru EJ20

You’ll need to diagnose with a scanner tool and go from there!!
No codes,
Probably thermostat
If your thermostat is bad , when car is to hot itll overheat and shut off bc the thermostat isnt opening to cool the engine back off
Some thermostats contain a sensor and can code on a reader and some dont

Hey just tested and i’m reading a steady 14V, is that normal?? Shouldn’t it fluctuate between 0 and 12V? Please let me know.
The engine crank but does not start.. could there be a problem with this sensor?😮
Yes
Why my isusu kb240 take few tries to start and it rev itself after it start , engine shake at idle and the exhaust pipe burst of regularly
I think if your crankshaft sensor doesn't work your car won't start.

Bad security signal. Mÿ wifes Malibu did the same thing and left her stranded several times. This has been a long time problem for Chevy.
@scottwinters4236 Thank you,how was this issue fixed? Is it worth taking care of? My car doesn't have many problems besides an exhaust system leak.
