Cant wait for the fitment vid. I went 18x9 245/40 on my xDrive 340i and its almost perfect. I just hate the reversed rake look of the xDrive cars cuz now I need coilovers to lower the front end a bit more to look more flush. When you talk about fitment, please include xDrive cars. I'm worried about how low I can go in the front without creating too much stress on the front axles.
When i was stock turbo stage 2 on e40 i had just put my LSD on and did a bunch of burnouts till my nitto nt555 G2 had no tread left, and i orderd michelin all seasons but they where back orderd, then i snowed the next week and my G2 nittos held up super good in the snow, when it was summer a good burnout was enough for stock turbo power, now im upgraded turbo and my new nitto R2’s are barely enough
I have Michelin PSAS4 on my 340xdrive and a few month ago there was a surprise snow storm while I was at work. The car was an absolute mountain goat and I was easily able to drive in 6 to 7 inches of fresh snow.
Great stuff, I pretty much have to run all seasons where i live, yesterday high was 88 today low was 35, and that basically happens 6 months a year, so it gets too hot for winters and too cold for summers. I could run summers in actual summer and maybe I will but want to get a second set of wheels with a different size just for summer.
I have Extremecontact DWS 06 on my 340i 😁😁 well rounded tire, I had the Extremecontact Sports on rears and man they didn't last but grip was really good when running stage 2+
Since I daily my 340i xdrive in upstate NY I chose to run all seasons. DWS 06+ are great, yet to use Michelin PSAS4 but the Continentals were my choice after ditching run flats due to availability and price. Pretty sure the DWS 06+ have a higher rating on tire rack too
How far north in the Midwest are you? I live about an hour from Peoria and i gotta have summer tires for my Mustang GT or i spin everywhere. I can use them 8 months a year.
@@kern417 no I already do. I have Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires on Forgestar wheels for the summer. It vastly improved the performance of my 21 Mustang GT. I would highly recommend this for you.
Have you heard any issues on the rear differential seals for the B58? 440I models? The seals on mine started to leak and I had it replaced with new seals. After 6 months with the new seals installed the rear differential failed completely.... I would believe this is a manufacturing defect and should be covered by BMW USA.... to my peeps out there if you have a B58 make sure to check your rear differential seals and for leakage. God bless

hi ! I have 2 set of wheels : ( BMW G02 M40i ) winter : 245-50R19 inches with Michelin Alpin 5 summer : 245-40R21 (Y) and 275-35-R21 Bridgeston Alenza. the summer tires are 4+ years now they still good , but what is better ? Michelin pilot ? AND THE BIG QUESTION : runflat , not runflat ? maybe you can make a video on that ? ( I live in Canada, streets here are like vietnam ( in 1970's )) dankeschön ( lol )
Run flats are okay to me but I wouldn't pay for one on a replacement tire. Unless you're really concerned with getting flats. I like Michelin and Continental summer tires the best.
Do you think your next car might be a gen 2 b58? Not sure if you have plans for more or any other cars mentioned in the past. In other words would you stick with b58 if you were to get a car now, or another platform maybe. I own an M340 by the way and watch the videos often. Thanks !
If u get a too sticky tires and don't have enough power, u better believe your gonna be slower in dig race, this is more true for awd, my buddy got r888r on his 340i and his 1/4 mile got slower 😂 all the 60ft are like 1.98 with the r888r, he only making around 400hp 😂
I’m pushing 480 whp on a 540, I’ve seen someone with around the same power 340 still spin with ps4s in 275s. Would nt555r2s in 295s do the job. I wanna hook straight away from a dig
Ps4s have better wet performance than the BS potenza and Continental ECS. They all perform very well in dry though so I would say depends where you live. I love my ps4s and will be trying the ps5 next.
@@kern417 I should clarify from my personal experience with the tires specifically only light to normal rain. I also noticed the temperature range is much better on ps4s whereas the continentals ecs would stiffen sooner during colder temps, that’s why I like them over continentals which is probably why i assumed they were better in the wet. Maybe they’re just better when its colder 🤔
You finally did it 🫡, I have 19" M Lt/Aly wheels style 792M on my m340i LCI 23. I wanna go from my Michelin 4s sports which are front 225 and back 255. To the same tires but larger size front 245 and back 285. Do you think this is a good choice? I would love the traction and grip but am hesitant if I would lose any agility and maneuverability.
u needma make a vid on how to calculate fitment with rims and tires for the car also im tired of all these apex arc8 and ec7s (commented before watching)
best b58 content and solid general car advice!

I run DWS 06+ on my MPE 440i
Looking forward to the fitment video! Great overview in this one.

When and if you do a wheels video, help explain beadlocks. Thx
Will do
Great video. Hows the tire width affect driving dynamics?
Mostly with stability but the tire compound is more important than width
PSAS isn't far from PS4S in terms of summer performance, and eats up the snow. my go to by far

Would have been interesting to know your views on run flats as most bmw come with rft from the factory
