This has become one of my favorite channels very quick. I tried a few of the recipes so far and they have made my life so much easier and lifestyle so much more enjoyable.
Props to you for being the only fitness channel I've seen that isn't afraid to use regular sugar. Everyone I've seen talks about sugar like even a small drop will kill you, when in reality a small amount is a fairly irrelevant amount of calories, and will go a LONG way in flavoring up dishes. Anything less than say 10-15 grams really won't have much impact on one's diet, it's just an extra 50 calories, and if 50 calories throws off your diet, i think you have other areas to look at besides the recipe that had sugar.
@@hankrearden20 how so? How will 10 g of sugar mess up a diabetics day more than 10 g of say whole wheat pasta or bread? Btw, I'm a type 1 diabetic, so please do educate me.
@@sharktalez sarcasm wasn't detected I see. Decades of firsthand experience dealing with T1Diabetes is really not going to be disproven by a TH-cam comment bro. But it certainly would be interesting to see what the argument was.
@@hankrearden20that is true but his point stands, but the reasoning you brought up anyways is dumb ofc it would make a difference for people with health complications because of sugar
I decreased the amount of sweetener in big boys, and used a blender for bananas and used a medium/low heat to cook them. They came up lovely Great recipe, can't wait to try two other
I just made the pumpkin ones and they are so good! Sir you did an amazing job! I actually got full not compared to other variations of protein pancakes. They were thick and tasty… thank you! 10/10 would recommend
I just tried your first recipe this morning and it was fantastic! Really moist and great, unlike my first attempt following a different recipe from a different You Tuber :) I have now prepared my dry ingredients for tomorrow morning :)
Big Boys Pancakes: I replaced the whey protein with chocolate flavoured soy protein (60g) and cinnamon with cardamom. Have to add some extra water. I actually like this version better. And now I have found some use for the vegan protein powder.
if you dont have buttermilk, just take milk and add some vinegar or lemon juice to it. the acidity will react with the baking soda to create the same effect buttermilk provides (acid)
I don’t like Erythritol at all…..doesn’t agree with me….I’d rather use date, agave, or maple syrup, honey, coconut sugar, bananas, or monk fruit powder for sweetener.
Amazing! I can’t thank you enough for this recipe 🙌🏾👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I made the the big boy pancakes and wow! So tasty I had the whole batch in one sitting! Im still stuffed 5hrs later😩😩😩 the only difference I’ll make next time is to add less sweetener ( and of course not eat all the pancakes at once!😂😂😂)
I made the first pancake dude , slightly modified it . Used cookies and cream whey protein and the fat free green vanilla yogurt. Delicious pancakes dude. I had to sub
This was the first protein pancake recipe that was tasty, satiating and filled with 47g of protien. (Used nitro tech whey so got a slightly larger dose) Thank you so much for the recipes man. You're a god send during this cut.
hey there thanks for your recipes and the channel i had a question how do you calculate the protein in your meals ? is it an app ? a site ? or somthing else ?
Looking delicious. Though I am worried about heating the sweetener/protein powder. Will "sucralose" not become problematic after heating? Which is used as a sweetener in most powders
Felu hey! Love your vids man. I make your stuff ALL the time. Question though, could you maybe substitute almond milk for the banana in the Big Boys? If the banana is mostly for extra moisture wouldn't that also do the trick without adding as many calories? With my food I always try to hit a 10:1 ration as far as calories to protein goes, and the banana pushes that up a bit over that.
Have you ever tried making them with oat fibre instead of oat flour? I don't imagine it would be as nice and might not bind as well, but I may give it a try. I happen to have quite a lot of it so trying to find ways to use it. Also personally I'd always have the whole egg, yolk included. I think the diet culture of egg whites only is not great, wasteful and less nutritious. Yes its some extra calories, but a lot of great vitamins and minerals.
It's because u can have way more protein from the egg whites , and they add way more volume compared to whole eggs. No one is saying don't use egg yolks , just you don't need 5 egg yolks in 1 meal
Personally I do both. I prefer egg whites because they're drinkable straight outta the carton, no prep needed, it's a way more convenient way to get alot of protein. Egg whites+ milk + protein powder is a GREAT, easy way to get protein. But I prefer whole eggs when I have more time to cook.
When you bake, do you use Whey powder which contains succralose sweetener? If so, are you concerned about succralose allegedly being carcinogenic when heated up to 120 °C or more?
I dont think your pan is as hot as the moons surface at the equator (hottest point since its the closest to the sun and most directly hit) during day time so youre good
From a pancake lover perspective, not the banana😢😂 Instead do one whole egg/whites + one glass of milk. My recipe checks out to around 500 kcal, 50g protein with the same ingredients Also skip buttering or oiling the pan and get a good non-stick. Wait for the whole surface to become covered in broken bubbles, your pancakes will turn out golden brown and most importantly, cooked in the middle, instead of soggy and uncooked
Anyone ever try this with collagen protein? I don’t really like whey, but understand if it can’t be subbed out, just curious since I do have collagen protein. TIA!
@@Shahamood-y9t 60g of oatmeal, 1 egg, 1 banana, and 1 scoop of protein powder. then you blend it Edit: you can also add a tad bit of milk if the consistency is too thick. a tiny bit of milk does a lot tho so keep it minimal

in what recipes do u use casein powder in?
I mealprepped the big boys for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it!

Ill use real sugar compare to those artificial sweeteners
there's way, way, way more sugar in that amount of oats than a teaspoon of sugar

But in both of them you pee out excessive protein because you can only absorb between 15-30 grams per serving.
This is so inaccurate its absurd
Way too much heat in the pan, you should aim for a light golden colour. If you are getting dark brown, they are burnt.
If the 'protein' pancake has more carbs than protein then it's not technically a protein pancake, it's a normal pancake with protein in it
no bananas kinda sucks
