Finally, I've been looking all over TH-cam for a protein powder pancake recipe that does not involve oats or bananas! Thank you, Laura! I cannot wait to try these.
I used this same batter in a small sized waffle maker and I have to say it came out 10x better as a waffle than it did as a pancake. I made two batches and it definitely filled me up which was surprisingly and I am thankful for
Girl! These are amazing and super easy to make! I just used 1 scoop of vegan protein powder and less milk i wanted a thicker batter for 1 person. And they turned put amazing ! And the best thing is that you can enjoy topping them because they barely have any calories! Love it 😍
Just a note (doesn't take away that these are delicious): baking powder is activated by both acid and heat, so putting them on the griddle does activate them.
I want to say thank you for making a video on this, and having a link of the recipe in your website. I'm going to practice making these for my mom on Mother's day, so I want to thank you 😁.
10/05/21 thank you soooooooooooo much for this Protein low carb video ty ty ty Fabulous Video Thank you. I neverrrr thought about making pancakes from my plant based protein power until I saw YOUR video, you are a SAINT!!!! thank you
I'm confused by the comments. I must have done it wrong because mine were dry and difficult to choke down no matter how much syrup I used. But I appreciate the recipe nonetheless...
@@MOMables it is!! if i only watched this before i wouldn’t have bought and do trials which brand of protein pancake is good cos yours is the best ♥️♥️♥️
@@MOMables Yeah I used ISO100 vailla powder, but I tried heavy whipping cream instead of milk, so maybe that was it. Gonna try this Saturday with a regular milk and a little more BP.. Thanks for the idea though
The type of protein powder might be the issue. For dry, add a little milk to the mix. Vanilla sounds delicious if your protein powder doesn't have it. Enjoy!
You could probably add cream and water together to make keto milk. I do this. Works well in place of milk in recipes so I'd assume it would work here too.
I used Chocolate whey protein powder and I don't know if I did something wrong but...its tasted disgusting :( Dry and chokey if that is a word lol. Please let me know what I must've done wrong cuz they came out like dry cakes :(
Ok yes. Whey will sometimes do that. I find that if you mix the protein with the liquid first, to dissolve, then continue with recipe. As mentioned, all proteins are different and the liquid might need to be adjusted. Most importantly, if the protein tastes good with water, then proceed. Otherwise, pancakes going to take on the flavor of the protein regardless.
No, you can't mix eggs and protein powder and call them pancakes. These have milk and my protein tastes delicious. This is something I specifically mention in the video: make sure your protein powder tastes good on its own because your pancakes will not taste good otherwise.

I had these without baking powder, still very good! I have them everyday
Glad you like them!

That's not true. It's baking soda that needs some acidity to work
You are correct: baking soda needs acid. @honko802 is also correct that baking "powder" needs heat. they are two different things.
This was the best protein pancakes recipe I ever tried. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for sharing you enjoyed it!
ive tried this and topped it with peanut butter, tbh.. its not the best, but it is worth the try, plus low carb and high protein, good trade
a good trade indeed!
whisk the egg white separate then fold in. Will get fluffy pancakes
thanks for the tip!

This is the best protein pancake i ever made thank you so much ! Subbed
So glad you liked it!
Good stuff. You can omit the baking powder and they turn out the exact same.
I use baking powder because it makes the pancakes fluffy.
I think i might have to make these this morning
hooray! enjoy!
Thank you so much for this recipe idea. I made a batch for my husband, and he loved them. 😍
My pleasure 😊
Blended oats and whipping the eggs til they're fluffy will help with the rubbery texture people in the comments are complaining about
Great tip!
Do you mean whip the egg whites separately first?
these protein pancakes look so good!
YEAHH! So excited about this recipe! 😍😍
I’m totally making it tomorrow 😍 thank u for sharing

I'm glad you found it helpful! -sorry i missed this comment before!
Is there something going to change if I substitute the whole eggs with egg whites? I'm suspicious it won't be as dense
I have not tried this with just eggwhites.
With no banana!!! You’re a goddess 💝
Pancakes without banana are a thing for some of us! 😊
Cant wait to try these
If we don't want to use yolks, should we add yogurt or just egg whites? Thanks!
replace eachg yolk with one extra egg white.
How much is 3/4 cup protein powder in grams? (Whey)
That is about 70g.
I'm confused by the comments. I must have done it wrong because mine were dry and difficult to choke down no matter how much syrup I used. But I appreciate the recipe nonetheless...
Depending on the type of protein, you might need to adjust the liquid used in the recipe. Some absorb more than others.
Can I mean protein isolate ?

Can I use egg whites???
thank you for this easyy recipe! tried just now and absolutely delicious and superrrr easy! thank youuuu ❤

I made these and they looked the part, but they were very grainy and solid like a frisbee 😂
What did I do wrong?
it really depends on the protein powder you use. Next time, add a bit more liquid and possibly 1/4 teaspoon additional baking powder.
@@MOMables Yeah I used ISO100 vailla powder, but I tried heavy whipping cream instead of milk, so maybe that was it. Gonna try this Saturday with a regular milk and a little more BP..

Could you use egg whites?
Can’t wait to try it! Thank you!
Better to mix the powder with the milk first (just like a shake) instead of with the eggs, it will be much less lumpy and sticky.
That works too! :)
My batter came out to be 497 calories so would that be about 80 calories per pancake since I got 7 pancake from the batche
It depends on how big your pancakes are. My recipe yields 10 medium pancakes.
Could you use egg white protein powder?
Yes, you could but I recommend it's flavored.
Excellent recipe, please can i replace the milk with water?
You totally could.
I tried this because of the comments- and wow, glad I did! Love it!
Thank you for sharing you enjoyed this recipe.
i like that you dont use flour. all the other recipes include almond or oat flour and even starch
Of course, it all depends in the type of protein you use. I hope it works with yours.
I'll try this with egg white and protein powder 🤞
Hope they turn out delicious!
Can I use water instead of milk
Is xanthan gum good instead of baking powder? I don’t have baking powder
It’s not the same thing at all.
Does anyone know how much calories this is?
Nutrition information is always in the recipe post, i hope that helps!
Could I add a banana if I wanted too? What would happen if I did?
It’s okay! U can also make pancakes with eggs and bananas on 2 recipe (I don’t remember milk or not)
Yes. You can add 1 mashed ripe banana to the batter and still have great pancakes. enjoy!
Turned Eggy and dry. Might try without eggs and use vanilla extract
The type of protein powder might be the issue. For dry, add a little milk to the mix. Vanilla sounds delicious if your protein powder doesn't have it. Enjoy!
In allergic to eggs can i do it without eggs but i will add a banana instead?
You can!
In place of milk, can use cream? As milk is not allowed on my diet.
cream is worse.. dont diet if you dont know that . cream is milk pluss butter
@@myname-mz3lo i didn’t ask you though.

Can i use 310 shake for this recipe
Amazing!! Any idea on the calories per pancake at all please? ❤
It's around 40 calories per pancakes. I always leave the nutrition information in the recipe: bit.ly/HighProteinPancake
Do you add milk until it feels like a pancake mixture?
Yes. especially if using plant-based protein because it tends to be thicker than whey.
