It's a Minn Kota Puck, it's for the trolling motor. It adds some functionality to the GPS Spot Lock, like more accurate GPS Direction and a Jog feature that keeps you spot locked while moving 5ft in any direction.
Yea it’s probably better that you do. You’ll get interference while running the motor but it works fine if you just drift and don’t run the motor while at fishing spot.

Great video. I use a screw and strong magnet to fish wires from one end to the other. It works pretty good.
You have some good kayak videos and you're giving me some really good ideas for when I get mine I didn't think of yet, very nice.
Thanks! Glad I could help.
@@BlueSummitOutdoors yea no problem. Thanks for the video.
No problem
Goog tip on saving the drill shavings!

Nice job - This looks like a project to take on
Thanks! Definitely!
Do you have any interference on the locator when running it all off One battery?

@@BlueSummitOutdoors copy that.
I have a 106 powered by Minn kota. Everyone tells me to have separate batteries for trolling motor and fish finder and other electronics. I'm torn.

Hello, you don’t get any fish finder interference this way?

How long is your battery holding since you’re only using one battery.
I not 100% sure I've never ran it completely out. I would say at least 8-10+ hours.
I thought it wasn’t good to run equipment of the same battery as trolling motor
It just causes interference while running the motor I ended up switch the fish Finder back to a separate 10ah battery.
@@BlueSummitOutdoors how long you get with 10ah with everything
I’ve never killed the battery in a day. I would say 12 +/- hours possible more but 12 hours is about as long as I’m on the water.
