ALWAYS dielectric grease those wire ends BEFORE crimping! Heat shrink is nothing more then insulation and is great at hiding corrosion, it has nothing to do with waterproofing, as many "believe"!
The kayak weighs 86 pound when I install all the gear it weighs 125 I have the wilderness cart setting the cart in the center of the kayak makes it easy to move thanks for watching
How has this setup worked out for you? I had considered using this for my electronics since the ability to turn things on and off individually is a must. I am just not sure if this system is something I would trust for that.
Hi , it’s working out great the kayak is outside in the summer no leaks I was unsure about drilling a 2’’ hole for the control . But all good all buttons still light up and work Thanks for watching

Yak power sells the pigtails with butt connectors to connect any wires to their system when you use different companies sae connectors they dont fit perfectly and over time your system may fail the yak power connectors are only 5.99

You could have added an inline switch to cut power on the other model. I prefer the keyboard model though.

I'm going to figure out how to make a mount for the switch so I can put it on the mount bar instead of drilling a hole.
