    Why is it in a can? It's supposed to be in a glass bottle with a fun fact on the lid. The best flavors are strawberry kiwi and peach

    The problem with American grape flavored things in Europe is that America literally has different grapes that taste different. The most popular grape for juice in America is the Concord grape. They’re super purple and super sweet. Most American grape flavor tries to approximate them. And the grape flavoring that doesn’t go for that tries to taste like Muscadine grapes which are only native to the US and not really like European grapes at all. Today the only people who eat muscadines are old-school southerners but they taste very similar to grape soda and they still grow wild all over the US.

      atarijawa462 I bought some this morning... The bigger sizes come in plastic, and yeah I've seen kiwi-strawberry and a couple other flavors but at least in the Safeways, Albertson's, Fred Meyers, WinCo, and Costco's that I go to they don't have any of the flavors they tasted in this video. Think I might have seen a couple of these in a 7/11 awhile ago, but they were the big 24oz cans...

    • @Lacidios
      @Lacidios 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Katie Wheeler, I've seen it in a can, plastic bottle, and glass bottle, and I don't know if it's a placebo, but the glass packaged ones do often taste better to me. And yeah, half of their products are teas, so it's odd they didn't do a single one in a video series known for "a cuppa tea." I dig the red teas, personally.

    So the American grape flavor is based off of the Concord grape variety, a variety native to North America. Much like root beer and its sarsaparilla flavor, the facts crew don't normally taste them.
    So I guess Concord grape and sarsaparilla are acquired tastes for Europeans.

    Snapple was all the rage in the ‘90’s cuz the beloved Snapple Lady ad campaign. All the batches were unique and came in bottles. 2 people could get the same flavour but the colouring might be completely different. Part of the fun of the whole Snapple experience was popping the bottle top and reading the crazy fact on the bottom of the cap. Those were the days...

    • @JayceMaxwell
      @JayceMaxwell 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alas, like every other popular "fad" food, popularity dwindled and the company switched to processed ingredients with fewer flavors so it could be mass produced and streamlined. All that exists of snapple now is knock-off gas station swill.

    Appreciate it, but this is not what an American would think of as Snapple. I've never seen it. Snapple is known for their very sweet teas in glass bottles, which are good if you like very sweet teas in glass bottles.
