Sitting in the workshop tonight getting the rods ready for an early morning on the Skagit. Pulled up you tube for something to watch while working. Searched Skagit river coho and came across your vid. Awesome job man! I'm definitely motivated for the morning! Thanks!
Great videos... Gonna fish the bob heirman preseve in Snohomish river area... question... Since im not a salmon fishing expert..more a bass guy. Can you run down the deal with the punch card? Do you bring that when you fish for all salmon...even pinks? Any guidance on that part would be sweet! Thanks! Subbed!
thanks man! yea you definitely want to bring your catch card for any salmon or steelhead especially in that spot game wardens come by pretty often, and when u keep a fish you have to record it on the card before you keep fishing so look up the area code ahead of time i just google em
You are killing it out there. I live in marysville and its my first time fishing for pink salmon. I went 2 days at Langus Riverfront Car Parking on the snohomish river from 8am-noon. No one there that i saw got a bite or a fish. I am using pink jigs and spoons. Nothing... I have never fished the Skagit river. Can you or anyone help me with some of the popular spots on the skagit river where people are catching pinks? Love your videos!
thank you! i tried to go to snohomish on saturday couldn’t even find a spot every little spot was just packed but on the skagit mount vernon and burlington are where most people fish ive been driving down s skagit highway lately and just parking wherever i find river access and jumping fish
Check out young’s bar in Mount Vernon. Type it in google to get the exact location. run dick nites or jigs. Caught one a few days ago and he was a big boy!
I want to star fishing on the river, I star fishing about 3 weeks ago for first time. Could you recomend me a fishing spot in the skagit river around mount vernon? thank you!@@BoykoOutdoors
I agree but nice to have em when you run outta jigs. cohos love jigs too but spoons are the best in the lower river haven’t tried wigglers yet heard they’re good too
I’m not going to be a brute butt. Nice humpy tho. I will say that they are the last fish I would eat. In my opinion and many others in my community (I live in Alaska so I might be a sonob when it comes to this ) pinks are uhhhh only seen as a inconvenience when salmon fishing for Chinook or coho.
Caught my first pink this season with that pink jig. First time trying jigging. No one else around me even hooked up with spoons. Thanks for the tip!
thats wassap man! no problem thanks for watching!!

Can you give description of the lures you are using
I love the sound of drag peeling 😊
me too, music to my ears ☺️
I cant tell , what type of weight do you have on that? Or is the jig just that heavy?
theres no extra weight just a 3/8 oz jig
@@BoykoOutdoors damn. Gotta get me a cast master
Probably a long shot but do you know if it’s still open for salmon fishing?
i think it is but you always want to be able to check the regs before you go fishing the rivers around here, the regs keep changing..
@@BoykoOutdoorsthanks man🙏🏼

@@BoykoOutdoors yes it does.
Hoping fish move into the snohomish this week before the opener, otherwise I'll probably have to launch in the skagit again.
Seen a bunch rolling just below the train bridge this morning
@@scottsavinski9311 Nice, was hoping the rain pushed some fish in. Good to know.
There’s a bunch that’s pushed in the sky too. Can’t fish there but it’s good to see some in.
