    I have fished that exact bank of the Green that - exact spot - several times in last two month and caught some nice salmon. Thanks for a fun video!

      @cdro670  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, its a hit and miss! can slay one day, and then dead for few days, I think all spots are the same, just a matter of when the schools of salmon keep moving or decide to stop in one place, that can happen in a lot of places in the green.

    I work 5 minutes from that hole and fish the pinks the exact same way. They hug that bank a lot. Most swim on by, but some want to play ;)

I still have the guts stored in my freezer, hopefully I can do something with those, sounds like good stuff for the soil! and I the pinks eggs were cured and got me my first bobber down coho! what a step by step process with a successful end result.

    What is the daily limit? Cause I see you got 4 only. The WA wildlife website says daily is 6 n any 3 of mixed adults. Plus you are just before 212th st so that means we can keep the kings right?

    • @cdro670
      @cdro670  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      From Tukwila International Blvd./Old Hwy. 99 to South 212th St. Bridge is where anglers must retain the first 2 Chinook caught. good question im not sure why I didn't limit out that day, I let a lot of male pink salmon go even off camera, I guess I was being picky keeping only the biggest, brightest, pink salmon hens to harvest the eggs for egg curing.

    • @cp.matautia4018
      @cp.matautia4018 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cdro670 even if chinooks are wild? Cause I wanna release the wilds but I know the stress they go through when caught but I’m confused with the retaining the first two part if that applies to wilds too?

    • @cdro670
      @cdro670  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@cp.matautia4018 yes it applies to wilds too! and you are right, the more stress to the fish the less of a chance for it to survive, which is why I see why some people use strong braided line, I use 15-20 pound braided line, which is still over kill but I don't want to use light gear and tire the fish out(more stress) I try to bring them in as quick as I can, unhook, and release the fish back while never removing it completely out of the water! im working on better ways to properly release fish, but in the end of the day the fish have traveled a long ways and even with some good catch and release practices i'm sure there are some that still don't make it. ill have to do more research on this cause im still a noob at understanding the SALMON Life Cycle and behaviors . Thanks for bringing this up topic up, hopefully someone on here with an experienced background see's this post and give us more information on better catch and release methods and mortality rate when fish are actually caught and released back.

      @@LeoLxxxx for pink salmon I use Fishermans gold pink jigs they out fished other brands, even though there are many pink jig brands this one has the most UV color and flash! I tried using almost similar looking pink squid jig from another brand and didn't do as good as the Fishermans gold brand. For Coho Salmon I do best throwing # 4 blue fox spinner chartreuse body and chrome blade in the morning preferably shallow water for spinner fishing as well as floating eggs under a bobber with a possibility of hooking up on a big ol king as well. Morning bites have been the best for me. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

      It's slowing down a little for Pink Salmon but still a lot of PINKS! A lot of Zombie Kings now but I heard people catching chrome kings until October, but the Coho bite has been good it's just starting. My brother just got a bobber down floating eggs yesterday and caught a nice coho, and I caught 2 other cohos days apart with the #4 blue fox spinner. I do good fishing for coho in October as well!
