But I hope either way, you can learn at least something in this video. Anyways, at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter what character you choose, if it makes you happy then that’s great. MadDoggGames Bruh Darkseid is more of a balenced character when you learn how to play him. The Omega beams are good and a defining feature but definitely not as defensive as Aquaman's attacks. Plus they are very predictable at range and most of the time aren't even worth MBing.
MadDoggGames hey I know I'm kinda late but I've had the game for about a week now and I love Black Canary, Flash, Supergirl and Bane but I was wondering what kind of a fighter Supergirl is so I know what to use her against. Also I wanted to ask about what to do about spammers; people just spamming with Deathstroke put me off the online part of the first game so since I hear Deadshot is really common it'd be really useful to know how to counter zoning.
Andre De labauve how lucky, next week I will be working on tips for countering zoners! This week or tomorrow I will upload on tips for winning ranked matches (;
I'm pretty good at Batman, The Flash, Superman, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, and The Joker. The very first character I learned to play and got good with (a few months ago) was The Flash, and I'm probably best with either him or Batman.
I can say I'm an above average player at Injustice 2 and I still really can't figure out my play-style. My first main of the game was Darkseid. I loved how he had tools for both zoning and having big power combos. I was told by some of my viewers that I seemed like a more combo-like play-style with Darkseid and they really enjoyed it. After that I picked up Swamp thing because I was doing a "Choose Your Fighter" series. I thought the concept of a "long-range" grappler was such a cool idea. I liked the different cross-ups he could do but now I only play him for fun. Then I picked up Gorilla Grodd and had so much fun with him. It reminded me of how much fun I had with Darkseid. But then I picked up Red Hood and had a blast. I loved how I could throw a bomb and shoot from the air so they had to try and block both at the same time. So based on your video I really like one character from each category besides balanced lmao Maybe you can help me? I know I love pressuring my opponent and have them keep guessing where to block. Also if they keep blocking I just grab them and make them feel the pressure even more. But I like just not losing to zoners or spammers. Its so frustrating to me. I love doing big combos. They are always so satisfying to me doing them mid-fight. Also when I finally figure one out myself in practice I feel this huge sense of accomplishment. So I guess I know I like rush down characters but I want to be able to hold my hold against zoning as well. So you'd think balanced but I refuse to use characters like Superman, Supergirl, Batman, Aquaman and Black Atom because I hate the characters each for different reasons. So I feel stuck. Hellboy looks fun as hell cuz he can get in and jump over zoning while doing the big combos. But Atom's playsytle looks a lot cooler then I expected it to be. Both of their traits are really good but balanced. Hellboy looks to have bigger combos and a gun to help zoning. But Atoms trait looks so cool, his combos are a bit shorter but do a fair amount of damage, plus the gun that can shoot or trap. Atom seems like the first "balanced style" character that I'm really considering picking up. But like I said I know I love rush down. The again Atom's trait can do rush down-ish stuff....uuggggghh I also have a problem of overthinking things. Plez help lmao
This was probably mentioned, and tourney players in podcasts for IJ1, for instance, have mentioned this, but it's important to find a character you actually LIKE: whether it's the personality and/or abilities of the character as seen in comics, cartoons or games, or the playstyle. I feel like if I really wanted to, I could learn to use some of the so-called tourney top-tier characters in old fighting games, but my heart wasn't in it if I thought the characters were boring; esp. if they're overused. I almost never have the most success with common, top-tier characters. I tend to play really weird, hybrid styles that sometimes help me beat superior players that find me unpredictable lol, although it's obviously debatable how good someone is, depending on the character they use :)
You are absolutly right, its best to find a character that you truly like. That is how you grow as a fightin game player. and wow you just summarized one of the points I made in my other video. And that is not to follow top tier list because it depends on the person skill, experience or playstyle. You should definatly check out my Top 8 common mistakes videos ;D
Lol, thanks bro. I think I saw that vid first, before this one :) I remember some of the Chicago Inj 1 players talking in their podcast several years back about how you have to like your character 16-bit said he didn't really like Killer Frost. He wound up doing better with Catwoman. I wish I knew where he was now. I hope he didn't 'retire' :P
I don’t play zoner/rushdown-type characters, I mostly play grapplers (I play Alex in SFV and Geras in MK11/MK1) but I had to make an exception for my guy Raiden.
I finally found outvwho to main. After a week of having the game, I chose to main Green Arrow, Blue Beetle and Robin. I mostly use Robin unless I'm against a Kryptonian. Then I use Blue Beetle. I use Green Arrow against the characters that i usually have a hard time fighting like The Flash, Atrocitous (I think I spelled that right), and Captain Cold.
My mains are Scarecrow because of his range with his normal attacks and just how fun he is, Bane because he can just delete a health bar, and Batman because he is all around a good character. I enjoy playing everyone of these guys. I’m also picking up Green Lantern.
Thanks this really helps. I chose Batman cause he’s my favorite hero and I enjoy practicing with him but I also chose the flash because I like the rush down play style more
Did anyone else just start story mode, and then main the first character they used in story mode because they learned their moves to continue into the story?
7:39 I enjoy using Green Lantern because he plays like ermac used to play in mortal combat Armageddon With the telekinetic slam and throws incorporated into combos. When I originally got this game I started off with Flash but could not use him that well so I switched to Green Lantern which was more familiar with play style and easier to use with combos With not having to be too fast. An all round character in Green Lantern suited me just fine.
Batman and Cyborg are my two favorite play styles. Aggressive pressure with mix-ups and Zoning pressure with some close up moves for characters that get by zoning.
I main bane and im also learning green lantern. I was having a hard time finding a new character i enjoy because they always have one thing that turns me off. Watching gameplay of those characters helped me make that choice.
I main Black Canary, Vixen, Bane, Blue Beetle, and Harley Quinn. I'm trying to learn Robin now, he might be my ultra main lol. Just have to learn combos with him.
4 mains here: Bats, Canary, Supergirl, and Red Hood. Starfire rounds out my top 5, but I still have a ways to go until she's where I want her to be statswise.
Think enchantress, black canary or docter fate would be my main since these are my favourite heroes. I would just do single fight to train. And also tutorial
Great video bro! 😁 You already know I have my 3 mains, Firestorm, Captain Cold, and Robin. Of course that'll change though once I get my hands on Sub Zero and Starfire 😌
I think it is a lot of things. For example, I really love Wonder Woman, Robin and The Flash in the comics and movies/shows so I wanted to main them. I went into the game to main them and yea... I just did not vibe with them at all. I was either really bored with the characters or just could not play them for the life of me at all. Idk why but the Flash is just really hard for me to play, which sucks, but hey. I ultimately landed on multiple mains obviously because one and one only is lame: -Aquaman: He is actually my fave DC character and he is hot in the game and his playstyle is perfect -Starfire: Honestly her combos are so simplistic, she looks awesome and I love the way she feels. Also love the character in comcis and such. -Green Lantern: I actually like Green Lantern a lot in the comics and such but his playstyle did not seem something like I would enjoy but after getting into him I learned to really love the characcter a lot in the game. -Atom: I love being small and big and his animations are so satisfiying. -Black Adam: I like the Shazam lore but my baby died in the first game so gotta play the closest thing I have to him. Those are the ones in general that I do stick to most of all however, I will toss in some Canary and Beetle every once in a while when I feel bored with the others.
Sub Zero, his bread and butter combo is so sick, which includes close and mid combat. Then the corner attack with ice klone is fast and perfect to make pressure so yeah! (the ice guy have been 1 year with me)
Aquaman and Cheetah are my mains. Iv always liked balanced characters and rushdown. Iv never liked zoning because it feels less involved and cheap to play as. Aquaman due to liking him, my favourite leaguer and i liked how he played, very solid with both decent far and close attacks. Cheetah i like for her speed and i recently started to learn who she is, and i like her too.
When I learned my playstyle I've had no problem picking a main I love using hard hitting characters So bane is fucking perfect for me I never get bored playing him.
I have 3 mains. Sub zero, red hood, and black manta. They feel really good to use. But I’ve heard some really good things about Batman, I’ll test him out a bit.
I don't know. According to my fight card, Deadshot is my favorite. His win % isn't that good though. Cyborg was the best % of wins. All my friends say Captain Cold is my best character. So... I dunno. I'm just picking characters trying to learn them so I can just improve overall. (+)
Honestly I don’t think deadshot is a hardcore zoner. I mean sure, he has enough range attacks to give rush downs nightmares, but he has good combos too. When I play him, I often find my self closing distance more than I back away, but maybe I’m just playing him wrong.
I main one character from each category: Batman (All Around), Catwoman (Rush Down), and Starfire (Zoner). I don't really like trappers, as I find them harder to use.
2 years late but I’ve seen a lot of beginners pick their main because it’s their favourite in the comics/tv/movies. You want to pick one that suitable for your style.
Yeah that is the best and hopefully the playstyle is good. That is what I do first. But if there gameplay is bad or not to my liking i leave the character.
My first main which was black Canary, ended up being my main because of her play style but I did ended up maining my two favorite heroes later so it worked out
Honestly, the way I play, the best way I learned to play with my mains was by playing their respective multiverse events. Leveling them up, getting epic gear, and learning their movesets. 3 for the price of 1
My mains are Robin (we all know why), Blue Beetle (cause he's one of my favorite DC characters and superheroes overall), and Red Hood (cause he was really fun to play as after learning how to string his trait into combos and background bounces)
I like it because I hadn't played a mortal kombat since mk9 and skipped over injustice and mkx but I enjoy it a lot it's great to see how you progress my 1st day online I played like shit went 0-4 trained the whole night on Harley quinn now I'm 8-7 but beware of people trying to cheese you gotta read people out sometimes I sit back and let them come to me and play the spam game if they start it
Picked up the game a few weeks ago and during the story mode, I definitely liked Harley and Black Canary the most. But after some doing some more separate fights and trying out Starfire, I might actually want to stick with her as my main... It's still so hard to decide, I honestly kinda like how Supergirl and Superman play now too. But for others who main Starfire: how long did it took you to master her?
Good video and opinion. Personally, speaking of fighting games in general, what I like is hitting the random select 90% of the time, as these games have a lot of characters to offer. King of Fighters XIII, for, example, has 36 characters, Ultra Street Fighter IV has 44, and This Injustice 2 has... Mmm... above 30? (Sorry, I don't remember the exact number at this moment) So, why would I want to stick with just one character, when these games have so many to choose from? I mostly play for fun, and victories come by themselves. Whether it's a serious match, or a friendly match, I firmly believe that one can give his/her best with any character if he/she knows how to play well. Changing characters helps a lot, brings variety to the strategy, and keeps somone from becoming too predictable... well that's just my opinion.
I don’t necessarily have a main just yet but I have Harley Quinn, Enchantress and Catwoman that are my best and I do love their play style. One in the running would be Green Arrow. He might be the one to replace Enchantress though for me
How I chose my main, Robin 1. I chose to pick a character from playstyle, I want the best characters, not my favourite or easy to play ones 2. My playstyle is close combat, and most of the options didn’t look nice 3.I narrowed it down to Robin and Flash 4. I tried flash, I thought he didn’t do much damage 5. I tried Robin and I liked him
Choose a character that suits your play style. If you like to zone and play keep away, choose dr fate , starfire . If you like to rush your opponent down, choose flash .

Physicall Zoners. Rely less in projectiles but more in physicall attacks to control space. Dhalzim, Billy Kane, Shizuru.
Trapper. Control space by putting traps and hazzards on the field. The Predator, Sektor, D. Dark
Air combat. This ones are rare but exists, they control air space as a main feature. Sadirah.
Tag Teams or Puppet characters. A character that is multiple characters or gets help of others or have some kind of prop as a playstyle feuture. Needs high execution level. R. Mika, Noob, Menat, Carl.

Dynamics. Change during the fight. Usually their playstyle can change in a moment (they can be a zoner, and then a grapppler)
Stances. Have multiple stances or forms that can be change at any time, being this controlled or not. Jhun, Shin, Gen, Seku.

Take in count that this is a general list and there's a lot of grey areas and combinations for all archetypes.
kaoko111 There's nowhere near hundreds but whatever you say.
Most of these feel very miscellaneous styles I only really see a few
Zoners
Grapplers/up close
Boxer

Rushdown
The Mario/power ups

These videos are really helping me understand the fundamentals about the game and i will definitely rewatch these when I get the game.

My mains are Black Canary/Harley Quinn/Deadshot
Red hood just... He goated bro fav all day
I am a rush down kind of person, but I also enjoy balanced characters!
I don’t play zoner/rushdown-type characters, I mostly play grapplers (I play Alex in SFV and Geras in MK11/MK1) but I had to make an exception for my guy Raiden.
6 years later, here I am after buying Injustice 2 on sale, testing the waters with other fighting games besides Street Fighter.
Same dude
Mine is Black Canary. She's super quick and I love her style. I wanted to play with Batman, my best hero, but he isn't easy to master.
subscribed man you help me a lot in these situations
Awesome! Im glad it helped
Just bought this game know i’m a little late but I loved the first one, GANG
Hehe it is okay I was in the same point. Never too late to join a game!
I main , Deadshot , Robin, Batman, Superman, scarecrow, supergirl, Harley Quinn and flash
Awesome! Great choice of characters!
TheDarkBladeZero you don't main all of them, you just know how to play them.
TheDarkBladeZero That's a lot 😂😂😂
TheDarkBladeZero Main means 1 you can't main 25 characters lol
You can main more than 1 dumbass
I like playing flash because of his speed and ability to keep a long combo chain going.
Grayson Bittner, my Main is Red Hood, and i'm just learning to play Batman.
My main is Blue Beetle
Same
Thanks this really helps. I chose Batman cause he’s my favorite hero and I enjoy practicing with him but I also chose the flash because I like the rush down play style more
Did anyone else just start story mode, and then main the first character they used in story mode because they learned their moves to continue into the story?
I know this video was like 2 years ago but I still play this game and my mains are Sub Zero, Joker, Batman, and I’m starting Atom
Green lantern gang 💪🏽 subzero next
I will be maining Sub Zero too!
But the the real question is what fav lantern corps Hope is mine
Vance Brine gang gang💪 other than gl I also main green arrow, batman and superman
My current mains are Robin, Green Lantern, Batman, and Supergirl
Isostormgamer 558 I use all those except Batman. I like Scarecrow. 1. Supergirl 2. Robin 3. GL 4. Scarecrow
Definitely Happy to stumble upon this. Needed a video helping me and it did! Thank you
7:39 I enjoy using Green Lantern because he plays like ermac used to play in mortal combat Armageddon With the telekinetic slam and throws incorporated into combos. When I originally got this game I started off with Flash but could not use him that well so I switched to Green Lantern which was more familiar with play style and easier to use with combos With not having to be too fast. An all round character in Green Lantern suited me just fine.
underrated bro, ur vids are so insane and informative, keep up the good work!
Batman and Cyborg are my two favorite play styles. Aggressive pressure with mix-ups and Zoning pressure with some close up moves for characters that get by zoning.
thanks to you i am a badass red hood and batman as a backup
I main bane and im also learning green lantern. I was having a hard time finding a new character i enjoy because they always have one thing that turns me off. Watching gameplay of those characters helped me make that choice.
Hey, I really don't wanna be that guy, but there's a typo in your description. Just thought you outta know. Also, Darkseid all the way.
I main Black Canary, Vixen, Bane, Blue Beetle, and Harley Quinn. I'm trying to learn Robin now, he might be my ultra main lol. Just have to learn combos with him.
With Flash, I always love to use my super as soon as the opponent uses a special to fuck around with them.
DeadShot is because he’s like the most easy to get the hang of and probably flash?
THANKS FOR THE TIPS AND HEADS UP, I AM NEW TO FIGHTING GAMES AND INJUSTICE 2 IS MY FIRST TO START WITH.
After watching this video I realized I am a rush down playstile and main flash thanks
Black Manta. I mean have you seen all his helmets? It's so ridiculous, I love it.
I ultimately landed on multiple mains obviously because one and one only is lame:
-Aquaman: He is actually my fave DC character and he is hot in the game and his playstyle is perfect
-Starfire: Honestly her combos are so simplistic, she looks awesome and I love the way she feels.
I main Fate, Robin, Cpt Cold, and Starfire. Atom and Enchantress also look like tons of fun, can't wait to get them.
Doctor Fate main here
He was my original main.
I've already picked my mains, yet here I am...
Sub Zero, his bread and butter combo is so sick, which includes close and mid combat. Then the corner attack with ice klone is fast and perfect to make pressure so yeah! (the ice guy have been 1 year with me)
I've been using Joker for 3 years and I'm still doing it.
Is she good for going against everyone?
I just started playing this game and I am happy to say my two mains are definitely Red hood and Enchantress. Which are very different from each other
Aquaman and Cheetah are my mains.
Im a Flash main honestly, hes my favourite and it just so happens to be my playstyle
When I learned my playstyle I've had no problem picking a main I love using hard hitting characters So bane is fucking perfect for me I never get bored playing him.
I just recommended using all the characters, I'm maining black Adam at the moment
Same, I'm more of a rush down. My two main's are a rush down and a zoner, black canary, and power girl.
I have 3 mains. Sub zero, red hood, and black manta. They feel really good to use. But I’ve heard some really good things about Batman, I’ll test him out a bit.
Theirs a chance I might get Injustice 2 these Sunday so thanks for the advice man, I'm probably going to main Bat-man, Bane and Joker.
I don't know. According to my fight card, Deadshot is my favorite. His win % isn't that good though. Cyborg was the best % of wins. All my friends say Captain Cold is my best character.
So... I dunno. I'm just picking characters trying to learn them so I can just improve overall. (+)
Who's still playing?
🖐🏻🖐🏻
@@ΧριστίναΒαρσανη-κ9κ aye lol do you have xbox?
@@the.forgotten.addams yess
Me
Honestly I don’t think deadshot is a hardcore zoner.
Maining Joker,Harley quinn, and trying to learn Scarecrow, captain cold, and blue beetle.
I’m a zoner who doesn’t spam the same special attack. Ermac is my best on mkx. I just started playing Injustice 2 and fell in love with black manta
I’m definitely a close combat person
Great job on the video Maddog
thanks man, the means a lot (:
I Like Close Up Fighting With A Little Bit Of Range
Main=Black Canary
Second Main=Deadshot
Third Main=Flash
My 2 mains are Joker and Scarecrow.
My current mains are Brainiac, TMNT, and Black Adam. Not sure how good it truly is but it's gotten me someplaces.
I main Firestorm, Black Manta, Scarecrow and the Ninja Turtles. Looking forward to learn Red Hood and Atom.
My first main which was black Canary, ended up being my main because of her play style but I did ended up maining my two favorite heroes later so it worked out
My mains are Green Arrow, Black Canary, Sub Zero, Raiden, Wonder Woman, and I'm Working on Hellboy!
Just found this video lol, my main is Catwoman
Honestly, the way I play, the best way I learned to play with my mains was by playing their respective multiverse events. Leveling them up, getting epic gear, and learning their movesets. 3 for the price of 1
My mains are Robin (we all know why), Blue Beetle (cause he's one of my favorite DC characters and superheroes overall), and Red Hood (cause he was really fun to play as after learning how to string his trait into combos and background bounces)
Is getting injustice 2 worth it?
Ab Rod hell yeah, if you have online
Or wait till the ultimate edition with all the dlc characters.
I like it because I hadn't played a mortal kombat since mk9 and skipped over injustice and mkx but I enjoy it a lot it's great to see how you progress my 1st day online I played like shit went 0-4 trained the whole night on Harley quinn now I'm 8-7 but beware of people trying to cheese you gotta read people out sometimes I sit back and let them come to me and play the spam game if they start it
Not really
Harvey Dent cute picture
i'd say i have fun with green arrow and supergirl the most , i usually bust out arrow if im struggling against someone tho
MC Koncept there's nothing wrong with that 👍
So what type of style is Harley Quinn? It’s like nobody plays her but me
Darkseid and Harley and Hal Jordan.
Is Aquaman a good main if you're not cheap with him?
Supergirl.
1. Heavy Hit, Jump and Hit 6 times. Jump over the enemy and repeat.
2. She became my main after story mode.
3. She was easy to learn.
He might be the one to replace Enchantress though for me
Just pick up the game and I’m think I’m going to main blue beatle. I loved that dude
How I chose my main, Robin
1. I chose to pick a character from playstyle, I want the best characters, not my favourite or easy to play ones
2. My playstyle is close combat, and most of the options didn’t look nice
3.I narrowed it down to Robin and Flash
4. I tried flash, I thought he didn’t do much damage
5. I tried Robin and I liked him
Choose a character that suits your play style. If you like to zone and play keep away, choose dr fate , starfire . If you like to rush your opponent down, choose flash .
Super girl fits my play style because I maimed Cassie cage in MKX super girls damage just kills it for me😬
I'm the best at Supergirl
