That’s what I do & when I put a club across my toe line & look from behind I can’t believe I’m amazing 30 yards right. I just bought Manuel’s book & tapes & love the concept & simplicity. Still fighting old habits. Bad putting kills me.
We have taught this to many players and it works for all of them. The proof of the pudding is in the tasting. Choose a target about 40 yards away. Setup for that target. Now lay a club along your toes to see where you are aligned. If you are aligned to the right this will help greatly. Be sure to get your "eyeline" vertical as you are locating the target and keep checking the target withyour eyeline vertical as you align your clubface to the target. Once you have the clubface aligned make sure the shaft of the club is perpendicular (square) to the target line. Then set yourself to the club. Now lay the club along your toes. Let us hear from you.
Remember that your stance alignment can be different than your shoulder alignment. If you want to set up slightly more to the left make sure your shoulders match your stance. Optimally, I would recommend that you learn to use your eyes correctly and set up square to what you "see". Give this some practice at home aligning to various targets from the front yard.

Is this only with right eye dominant people or everyone?

I open my stance slightly just for this reason.
