    GREAT fundamentals! Playing 45 years now and I needed this....I have Ernest Jones book and have committed to converting from "hitter" to "swinger". Golf swing feels more pure this way. Thanks for posting.

    Is the no fix swing the same as the manuel delatorre swinging motion?

    • @EdLeBeauCFIinstructor

      The no-fix golf swing using the "golf tee" is a means of detecting and learning to "swing the whole club" which was one of Manuel's central concepts.

      Manuel directed the golfer to 'swing the whole club'--no levering. That is precisely the objective of no-fix.

    I notice in your backswing that the club is not completely parallel in the backswing. Any advise you can please give on how far back the hands should go in the backswing? Up to shoulder? Up to when the club becomes completely parallel? Thanks, as always

      The length of the backswing is a function of your flexibility and range of motion. Max rotation is parallel. As we age the range is shorter.

      @@EdLeBeauCFIinstructor "As we age our range is shorter." That needn't be the case if we work to retain our range of motion as we age. Pushing 70 now, I have better ROM than I had in my 20s, because I'm working on with a good technique. OK - I'll never have the ROM of a young tour player, but we can hold off the effects of aging much more than most people seem to realise if we just look after our bodies properly with the right diet and exercise.

    With my wedges I'm deadly accurate and I use my wrists. I have ltd control if i dont.

      My teacher (Manuel de la Torre) had several "rules" for instructors. One of them was don't argue with success. If a player can consistently deliver their ball to the target don't try to change their technique. So keep doing what your ar doing. However, for your consideration, try putting with that same "wrist" action. I think you will find that consistency is adversely impacted. You'll find that when you putt the "tee" in your putter stays very still relative to your left forearm. You might find that experimenting with "quiet hands" in your short game could make it even better. Give yourself three sessions of thirty chips using the tee. See if you find it worthwhile to make the change. Don't worry about those session negatively impacting your short game "with wrist action". To change habits it takes many chipping sessions.

    I may have used the wrong word in osalation.

    • @EdLeBeauCFIinstructor
      @EdLeBeauCFIinstructor  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It reduces forearm rotation and preserves the clubs address orientation.

    Is this swing designed to reduce the twisting and osalation of the shaft

    • @EdLeBeauCFIinstructor
      @EdLeBeauCFIinstructor  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Learning to swing with reduced rotation of the shaft improves consistency. At address we could observe that the grooves on the clubface are aligned with our spine. The can stay that way between 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock

      I get confused about Manuel saying use the wrists in the backswing and then seeing a fluid cocking of wrists and Your statement of reducing wrist motion.

      @EdLeBeauCFIinstructor  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@profiledude I'm not sure where you read or heard "wrists". If you read Manuel's book (that way you can be sure you are getting precise instruction), he refers to using the "hands" on the backswing. In the "No Fix" golf swing the player uses the hands to "hinge" the wrists--no wrist cocking.
