I am currently researching the 2024 LC500 coupe. Because they are so rare. I will factory order the white exterior with caramel interior. One dealership informed me, it would take 6-8 months to deliver. It seems Lexus is shipping more convertibles than coupes to America.
I think it’s the most elegantly beautiful car from any mass market manufacturer period. And my guess was 3 … if I had said 3 a month I’d have almost right. Thanks for a truly deserving review of a wonderful car. Beautifully stated! 100% The LC500 is a definite keeper (except the hybrid - that's a crime). I'd love to have one, along with my "practical" RX350. They would make the perfect duo...
AMG, NSX, RS6,Viper, 512. These are some of the cars that I’ve owned. I say that to establish my point of reference. My LC 500 is my favorite car that I have ever owned! Mine will probably never be a valuable collector because I just drive it too much.
The LC500 is my fav sports car, I love to own several. The price of new cars are so expensive, especially here in Europe, the days when our dad and grand parents bought their cars out right are long gone. People lease their cars to make ownership attainable and when the options of similar price are Porsche, Audi, Mercedes and BMW, a lot of buyers tend to choose those brands because they want to show others they have made it because of brand prestige. As they are leasing, 3,4 years, reliability is not a consideration that are high in their decision making. Which takes onto a point that I find strange: its ok for a car to have poor reliability because it is covered under the manufacturer's warranty(?) BMW, Audi and Range Rover comes to mind. The LC is understated elegance and here in Europe, a very rare RELIABLE NA V8 that would still work 15+ years down the line unlike the other brands. I'm glad not many people would know what car a 'Lexus LC' is............those type wouldn't know who Rembrandt or Chopin were. This V8 LC is very likely to be the last RELIABLE V8 that we could buy in the next 2 to 3 years before Lexus sadly cease production, but it will out live well past all the other options as they will end up in breaker's yard long before hand.
Well, the other elite European GT and sports cars are using TT V8s with very good performance results and user satisfaction. These vehicles are trimmed as good or better than the LC 500 and these typically cost between $140-$200K, so Lexus can make such a future vehicle as well.
I love your review of my favourite car ever. As the owner of an RC, my dream is to own one one day. Your enthusiasm absolutely mirrors my thoughts about this stunning machine. Fantastic video, many thanks 🙏
I’m one of the few lucky ones 😉. Bought my ‘24 LC convertible in that same blue 6 months ago. Love it. Was waiting for Lexus to drop the horrendous track pad and they finally did for 2024. Also very glad no one knows about it and no one buys one. The rarer, the better, especially here in Southern California where 911s are everywhere. Great review!
Not gonna lie, I was honestly gonna say 3 or 4, but I’m surprised the number was over 30! lol! Excellent review as usual Alanis! I think this Lexus is definitely underrated! I feel like this car is the SC-430’s bigger and faster cousin! Especially in its convertible form!
Great video. Past weekend/sunmer cars for me have been a 2012 5.0, 2004 Cobra, and a 2013 Boss 302. I love mustangs. I no longer own any of these vehicles. Im condensering another 2004 Cobra, Mach 1, or 19/20 GT350/GT350R for my next car. I currently own an 2018 IS350 so it makes me want another Lexus. The Lexus LC500 is on my short list. So is a Lexus RC-F. While the LC500 is just dead sexy, beautiful, even elegant. The lack of coolers for the LC500 in previous years drives me towards an RC-F is I go Lexus. Have you done any reviews on the RC-F? If so whats your take on it compared to the LC500?
HI alanis! greast to see you in good shape. Hell I love the LC. Buddy of mine has a V8 one about 4 years old and a Panamera, he could have a 911 which I would prefer but overall, the LC is the most beautiful, livable and comfortable. The interior is one (in my. opinion) of the most beautiful ever made so, yeah you can send me one anytime you fancy . Much love as always from your ol' pal in West Spain

Great review, and I completely agree. I have always been amazed this car does not get more love. If money were no object, one of these would be in my garage.
This is the kind of car you get up for on Saturday morning, pull it out of the garage, get a comfy lawn chair and favorite adult beverage and just stare at it…that would be my zen moment 🧘
Nice video review of the LC. As a owner of a Lexus I love their cars I have had ZERO issues in owning my car so far no trips to service only to get oil changes and I get them done at Toyota because it's cheaper. You rarely see the LC's on the road but when you do it always has a presence and makes you have appreciation for a beautiful car. Next to the LFA this is my 2nd favorite in the Lexus lineup. 🫶 That trunk tho, the hips don't lie 😊
i currently own a gs350, sorta the “more practical and less sporty in every aspect” version. less power, softer suspension, large back seats, and a huge trunk. i love this car, and i really want an lc500. the worst part though is that i feel like it won’t tick the boxes that i want. it’s still heavy as hell and gets outclassed by the germans in terms of power. i wish it had more power or stiffer suspension or they took out the back seats for weight reduction. it should stay a luxury vehicle, by all means, but man, there’s not a lot of fun in 4500 lbs. the is500 is lighter and faster ironically.
Love this car and you did a great job with the video. Funny. I couldn’t have the white interior because it would get one scuff and then I couldn’t stop looking at it.
I swear, this video along with Bozi's makes me want to buy an LC500 this weekend. Just gotta rob a bank first (because even the used ones are not cheap). But on a serious note, my condolences to both you and your husband. I lost my grandpa earlier this year and it tore me up, so I know. Y'all do what you need to do, take all the time you need, and we'll be here for you
In a nutshell, priorities change as we get a little bit older and I’m 55 now and the balance of all of the LC‘s attributes fit me perfectly. it’s my very first Lexus and I really can’t picture myself buying anything else in the future because this car is so awesome
I am considering trading in my 2020 R8 RWD Spyder for a new LC 500 Convertible. Am I crazy? Grand tourer "dailability", interior, reliability and 10 years or 100k miles warranty here in Switzerland are the reasons.
I daily drive a Lexus ISF, which is already a rare car. I'll be renting an LC on Turo in a couple weeks and driving about 500 miles in it, so you can imagine I'm excited for that
I've always loved this car and how its quite the literal child of the Lexus LFA. This was a very entertaining and informative coverage, cheers! New subscriber here! ❤
(not so) controversial opinion here: Selfishly, I am VERY glad that the LC500 is not super-popular. I am glad I don't see them all over the roads. When I get one next year, and I promise I finally will, I love that it won't be so common. Where I live, every 3rd car is a Tesla, every 10th car is a C8, just so boring. They're everywhere. But I only see an LC500 once out of a thousand cars and I dig that. It's special when I see one. I point every one out to my wife in the passenger seat and we watch it for as long as we can until out of sight.
Fortunately my friend was Lexus salesman: had a couple IS 200 250 ; but regularly drove new models he brought home . Always loved the Mark Leverson sound systems
I saw one in a parking lot a few months ago. Now I have one being delivered. I love cars "no one knows about". This will fit nicely with my Kia Stinger GT2 AWD. I traded my 06 Porsche 911 in for a 21 LC 500 convertible. I doubt I will miss the 911.
The LC 500 in that spec is beautiful. If I were to buy one it would be similarly specd. And I have to ask, what’s the origin of why you get in the trunks lol?
It's hard to explain how good this car looks in the real world. I've seen lots of videos and photos and never cared that much either way. I just saw one in person and, yes, it is a truly beautiful thing with so much presence. It is one of the best looking cars out there.
Great video, stunning spec of LC. Interesting that the LC is only offered as hybrid in some markets. In some European countries, due to co2 emissions/ engine size. The 5.0l v8 is vastly more expensive than the hybrid. I can see why the hybrid sells poorly in the states
Made the decision to get a 2024 about a month ago. The car is absolutely amazing. One of the best sounding cars I have ever owned and a blast to drive. It truly has a split personality, because it can do loud and raucous or serene and comfortable. I think one of the reasons it is not a big seller is that on paper it is just not impressive. In a world with 600 hp+ cars that will go to 60 in sub 3 seconds it falls to the back of the pack. The only way to truly appreciate this car is to drive it and experience it, that is when you realize none of the big numbers matter. I have owned a 2017 911 turbo, several other 911s, M cars, and AMGs and I can say none give the experience that this car does. It absolutely has to be experienced to truly appreciate it. It is a fantastic vehicle and a true hidden gem.
I want one of these so bad! I stalk the prices regularly, luckily there hasn’t been one on sale too close or I’m afraid I would’ve bought one on impulse alone. Prices are coming down to “reasonable” levels for a car I plan to keep FOREVER. And it’s a Lexus so I’m not afraid of it long term like a 911 that I also lust after. I sat in 1 at an auto show and omg that interior is sooooooo fancy. I would just stare at it and caress it everyday if I had one 😂.
@@AlanisKingI’m happy to report that I just bought a 2018 infrared with carbon package today!!! Literally cried on the way home 😂I’ll miss my little ND though 😢

Excellent review as always. And you were spot on about the cheap looking sunroof shade. A carbon fiber roof is answer especially for the V8 performance spec. That would look so cool and serve a purpose by lowering the center of gravity.
Wow, wow, wow! I dont think I have related to a car review the way I did with this one in a long, long time. Everything about the car itself and the way you describe it with such detail and an honest human touch is just so captivating. The Lexus LC is truly one of the biggest underdogs of our time and it deeply pains me to see the LC not getting the attention it deserves. And am truly worried about the future of this vehicle and its glorious V8 as we head into a world filled with an "all specs and no emotions" attitude. This is a car that without a doubt go down as one of the most underrated cars of all time, and I feel like once its gone, only then will people start to see what a gem we've lost. But thank you thank you alanis. This video just really helped me to reason why I love cars so much. Everything about it is literally a sensory delight. The looks, sounds smells (of the top notch interior materials that Lexus im sure painstakingly crafts) and the feels are all not out of place belonging to cars hundreds of thousands of dollars more than this. Alanis, may god bless you with many more suscribers so you can spread your like mindedness enthusiasm with cars that bring a certain level of emotional connection with a far wider audience. All the best.😊
This comment made me smile so much. Thank you for writing it, and thank you for watching the review. I’m so glad it resonated with you like this car does with me. Have a great day!
Lexus really should have capitalized more on the LC as a halo car to boost their more practical/cheaper cars. Unlike Audi with the R8, they did not follow up the introduction of the LC with other cars that have similar levels of styling, technology, or performance. Instead, they seemed to have let the IS, ES, RX, NX, etc. languish with arguably busy styling, and performance that trailed much of the competition. There was too much of a gulf between the LC and their other cars to have any serious connection. Instead, the forgettable, normal cars likely contributed and dragged down the reputation of the LC500. If they had come out with the recent crop of vehicles earlier (the new RX, NX, GX, etc.), they would have fit a lot better with the technology and design language of the LC. It's too bad those improvements to their line-up came so late that most people either forgot or never knew the LC even existed.
I can't help but stare at LC500's when I see them on the road. I would argue that they are one of the most beautiful cars ever made. It is a crime that no one buys them. If I had the cash I would buy one in a heartbeat.

Its such a luxury bargain. More stylish than a 911, with more special an engine than any luxury flagship in its price range, with the driving character to back it up. Its for real a passion purchase that doesn’t cost you
Yes! You’re so right. It’s an incredible buy
Hi Alanis, first time watching your channel. Great review and a very well put together video. The LC500 is absolutely magnificent!
Ah, welcome! Thank you so much for watching and saying kind things!
My god, your videos to this day always impresses me, I just love how you present the car , I don't think I can watch normal boring car reviews after your channel
Awww thank you so much 🤠
Commenting for engagement. You're doing a great job, Alanis, and deserve more views than you're getting!
The LC500 is a low-key favorite of mine, too, and I'd consider swapping out my M4 for one at some point if I ever got bored of it for sure.
Omg! Thank you for the support 🤠
Excellent video Alanis! I appreciate this work of art even more now. Thank you!
Ahhhhh thank you so much
I have been waiting for this since you posted pics on Twitter. Going to grab a tea and watch now 😀
Ahhhh thank you!
I’m here to say the audio designer here is a hero.
Love this segment!
Ahhhh thank you so much

You deserve more appreciation for your car reviews
🤠🤠
I am currently researching the 2024 LC500 coupe. Because they are so rare. I will factory order the white exterior with caramel interior. One dealership informed me, it would take 6-8 months to deliver. It seems Lexus is shipping more convertibles than coupes to America.
Great choice. I think you're going to love it
Please option the Dynamic Handling Package!
The passionate commentary you have on a car like this deserves a sub! Cheers Alanis!
Ahhhh wow! Thank you! Appreciate you watching
I think it’s the most elegantly beautiful car from any mass market manufacturer period.
And my guess was 3 … if I had said 3 a month I’d have almost right.
Thanks for a truly deserving review of a wonderful car.
Often the Todd of the Everyday Driver Podcast says “The LC500 is car that guys buying a Corvette later in life actually should be buying” and as a guy older in life at 55, I agree.
Have a great day and to quote the great philosophy Shakira:
“Hips Don’t Lie!”
Thank you so much for watching and always saying kind things!
Thanks for the demo in the truck. Everyone said it’s shallow, but you showed it.
Happy to do it 🤠
That blue and white interior has really grown on me
I've seen it in multiple videos now and it gets better everytime
It’s sooooo pretty
I never was a fan. Especially since I bought the Atomic Silver with the Rioja Red/Black interior. That white interior in my car would be criminal...LOL.
Great video, Alanis! I consider myself a car guy but Lexus has always flown under my radar. Which is an absolute shame. I see these cars every so often and it always catches my eye. Top notch review and thank you for all the info!
Just curious, any Doug Demuro collabs coming up? You two have such great chemistry
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it.
I don’t work for Doug anymore. My new job is at Motor1! And I’ll be uploading here a lot too
@@AlanisKing So does that mean you can't even work with/feature in a video together??
sick video. Talked about the other trims of the lc500 and I haven't been able to find another video that would talk about the trims
I’m so glad you liked it! Thanks!
It's rare I agree with every single point in a car review! Excellent video as always Alanis - Thank you! Still waiting for the used market to enter my price range :)
Ahhhh thank you 🤠🤠🤠
SO MUCH personality in this video!
Thank you so much 🤠
What a fun review! Keep up the good work Alanis.
Thank you so much 🤠
Top work Lass!
Thank you 🤠
Truly an epic car! Your review is so passionate, I love it!
Thank you SO much
I am watching this after watching your Mazda Miata review. I am blown away by the quality of your content. I need to stop watching your reviews because every time I watch one, I want to buy that car.
This is so kind. Truly. Thank you
I love that it's underrated, hope it stays this way! Love mine, never parting with it!
Great choice!
@@AlanisKing Thanks.
The Lc500 and RCF are some of my favorite cars! Great video!!
Thank you 🤠
I lived in an old council house, and one day my neighbours new car was an RCF : half the cost of his house : Russian guy didn’t seem to work much 🤔😬😂. Loved the car though
Beautifully stated! 100% The LC500 is a definite keeper (except the hybrid - that's a crime). I'd love to have one, along with my "practical" RX350. They would make the perfect duo...
What a good duo
Great video and a beautiful car. Did you shoot this around Houston? If so, can you point me to some good riving roads on the North side of town?
This is about 90 minutes from Houston! I actually don’t know a lot of driving roads around there. This road is called FM 3090
@alanis king, I completely agree the LC500 is an excellent car with insane attention to detail in every corner of this car. Nicely done great video.
Thank you. So glad you enjoyed the video
How does it drive without the rear wheel steering option? The Bespoke builds unfortunately don't allow it
Loved the driving experience
AMG, NSX, RS6,Viper, 512. These are some of the cars that I’ve owned. I say that to establish my point of reference. My LC 500 is my favorite car that I have ever owned! Mine will probably never be a valuable collector because I just drive it too much.
I’m so glad you drive it! That’s awesome. It should be driven, not sitting in the garage
Pros & cons Vs the nsx nc1 I assume…I’m seriously considering selling or trading my 95 5 speed for one.
Very thoughtful and accurate comment. Thank you so much for watching!
Ahhhh thank you Chris!
That ROCKS. Happy for you! Thank you for watching!
If you had to get the coupe (instead of a convertible) - what options would you get this car in (packages, interior , exterior color)
There are so many good options. I would actually be so stressed choosing. Anything is great honestly
Dynamic handling package; winter package.
Ahhh thank you 🤠
GREAT REVIEW 👍
Thank you so much!
Love this Video You are so professional You're the only genuine person that tells the truth.i love Lexus Forever im in uk age 66😊
Ah thank you! I appreciate this!
Hi Frankie! Thanks so much for watching. I've heard absolutely wonderful things about the RC-F, but I haven't driven one. I'm sorry!
This exact spec, blue, or white, with the blue/white interior, is the one to get
It’s so beautiful
HI alanis! greast to see you in good shape.
Frankie! So good to see you. Thank you so much for watching. The LC is stunning, but I also love the Panamera and 911!
@@AlanisKing Mind those trunks though, I'm going to have surgery on y hip next August, don't blow you bum LOL, specially if you try the Cybertruck by Tesla, it is like a huge knife 😂
I guessed 35 hybrid. Personally I don’t like the white & blue interior. I went retired fl man - white convertible, black top, Carmel interior. I’ve had some nice cars, this is by far my favorite!
Why would you want a stick when it has a much nicer titanium paddle shifters?
That’s awesome. Really happy you got one
Great review, and I completely agree. I have always been amazed this car does not get more love. If money were no object, one of these would be in my garage.
Thank you SO much
This is the kind of car you get up for on Saturday morning, pull it out of the garage, get a comfy lawn chair and favorite adult beverage and just stare at it…that would be my zen moment 🧘
Totally agree
Dont see much of them on the roads in the UK but when i do i have no choice but to admire its beauty
Same here
Nice video review of the LC.
Thank you so much for watching! I’m really glad you enjoyed it
You get used to the touchpad quickly. Also, with apple carplay you can mount your phone and have a touch screen.
The green, yellow and orange are stunning.
Absolutely stunning
i currently own a gs350, sorta the “more practical and less sporty in every aspect” version. less power, softer suspension, large back seats, and a huge trunk. i love this car, and i really want an lc500. the worst part though is that i feel like it won’t tick the boxes that i want. it’s still heavy as hell and gets outclassed by the germans in terms of power. i wish it had more power or stiffer suspension or they took out the back seats for weight reduction. it should stay a luxury vehicle, by all means, but man, there’s not a lot of fun in 4500 lbs.
the is500 is lighter and faster ironically.
We had an IS 500 on the channel too! It was fun
i'm torn between getting the new model [with the afterthought of an iPad on the dash] and the earlier model [with the unloved touchpad]... 🤔💭
iPad!
Love this car and you did a great job with the video. Funny. I couldn’t have the white interior because it would get one scuff and then I couldn’t stop looking at it.
I would do the same thing. Thank you so much for watching!
Correct/ the white interior is too ‘fragile’ and the black interior is too ‘boring’- get the red or caramel !
@@edmundcharles5278 Agreed I think red exterior and tan interior is the best combo.
I swear, this video along with Bozi's makes me want to buy an LC500 this weekend. Just gotta rob a bank first (because even the used ones are not cheap).
But on a serious note, my condolences to both you and your husband. I lost my grandpa earlier this year and it tore me up, so I know. Y'all do what you need to do, take all the time you need, and we'll be here for you
Thank you so much. We both really appreciate this
In a nutshell, priorities change as we get a little bit older and I’m 55 now and the balance of all of the LC‘s attributes fit me perfectly. it’s my very first Lexus and I really can’t picture myself buying anything else in the future because this car is so awesome
That rocks. I totally agree with you
Great video. Love the car and your very dynamic presenter of this car. Cant wait to own one.
Ahhhh thank you so much. Great choice of car!
Damn, Alanis, I felt that hip slap. 😂
Another great video! 👍 I could do with a little less background music, though.
Hahahahahaha thank you!
Which do you think will retain its value better, convertible or coupe?
I say coupe
I am considering trading in my 2020 R8 RWD Spyder for a new LC 500 Convertible. Am I crazy? Grand tourer "dailability", interior, reliability and 10 years or 100k miles warranty here in Switzerland are the reasons.
Not at all. The LC is amazing
I daily drive a Lexus ISF, which is already a rare car. I'll be renting an LC on Turo in a couple weeks and driving about 500 miles in it, so you can imagine I'm excited for that
That’s SUPER exciting! Have fun
@@AlanisKing Thanks! ~250 miles down to Key West so it should be super fun
Great video, great car! Always liked these. Nice one!
Thank you so much 🤠🤠
I've always loved this car and how its quite the literal child of the Lexus LFA. This was a very entertaining and informative coverage, cheers! New subscriber here! ❤
Ahhhh thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed
It’s so special. I love this car
Fortunately my friend was Lexus salesman: had a couple IS 200 250 ; but regularly drove new models he brought home . Always loved the Mark Leverson sound systems
Love that
What a lovely review! I dream about this car all the time and wish to own one in the exact same colour.
Same! It’s amazing! Thanks for watching
That’s awesome. Huge congrats. You’ll love it
The LC 500 in that spec is beautiful. If I were to buy one it would be similarly specd. And I have to ask, what’s the origin of why you get in the trunks lol?
I actually don’t know! I just started doing it one time
It's hard to explain how good this car looks in the real world. I've seen lots of videos and photos and never cared that much either way. I just saw one in person and, yes, it is a truly beautiful thing with so much presence. It is one of the best looking cars out there.
Yes! Nothing can do it justice until you see it in person
Great video, stunning spec of LC. Interesting that the LC is only offered as hybrid in some markets. In some European countries, due to co2 emissions/ engine size. The 5.0l v8 is vastly more expensive than the hybrid. I can see why the hybrid sells poorly in the states
Thank you so much. I’ll be thinking about this car for ages
@@AlanisKing I love it and thank you for sharing. The video was so well shot and the music chosen complimented the LC so well.
The LC500h should have been engineered as a TT V6 - it would have better performance and sales!
The only way to truly appreciate
this car is to drive it and experience it, that is when you realize none of the big numbers matter. I have owned a 2017 911 turbo, several other 911s, M cars, and AMGs and I can say none give the experience that this car does. It absolutely has to be experienced to truly appreciate it.
It is a fantastic vehicle and a true hidden gem.
Huge congrats. I'm so glad you got one!
Same. I look all the time. Truly incredible car
@@AlanisKingI’m happy to report that I just bought a 2018 infrared with carbon package today!!! Literally cried on the way home 😂I’ll miss my little ND though 😢
Most videos about LC500 have more views than actual cars!
And of course I have to brag about my LC500...
Well I just placed order for my (flare yellow 💛)😊
That is SO exciting. I hope you love it!
@@AlanisKingsince I saw concept (in magazine) until now (finally I can afford it) LOVE it ❤
And of course special car requires special color!
Excellent review as always. And you were spot on about the cheap looking sunroof shade. A carbon fiber roof is answer especially for the V8 performance spec. That would look so cool and serve a purpose by lowering the center of gravity.
Thank you SO much for watching. I really appreciate it
Wow, wow, wow!
I guessed 26 hybrids. Gimme the V8!!!
Close!
Excellent review 👍🏽
Thank you SO much for watching
Great review...one of the best that really made us understand the beauty and performance of this hot lexury car
Ahhhhh thank you so much
Lexus really should have capitalized more on the LC as a halo car to boost their more practical/cheaper cars.
Totally fair assessment! It’s such a good halo car
Sounds true, it makes it hard to sell this vehicle to those who possess the means to purchase a Porsche, Mercedes, Corvette or Aston Martin.
I owned a black RC 350 F Sport, everytime i see her i get this butterflies feeling. My next car is gonna be this Gorgeous LC 500!
That's incredible. I'm so happy for you. GREAT choice
