Not sure if this helps, i use monthly car wash for mine, but before i run through the car wash i use Dawns Powerwash and spray all the areas that have oil spots or finger prints. Then i run it through the wash and i don't even have to dry the truck, it is pretty much spot free afterwards letting the drive dry the truck. Ive not tried it yet out of lazyness, but my grandmother use to clean our stainless appliances growing up with baby oil... curious if this would be a good monthly treatment option, just not tried it yet.
The ph for most pre-soaks or soaps at a touchless wash is always a ph around 10 to 12. They never use a neutral ph ~7 as it isn't strong enough. The downside is that a high ph will strip many waxes and sealants and shorten the life of a coating. Not sure if any of those are used on those vehicles due to the panels being stainless steel or if you just leave it bare.
@@CyberTruckOne I don't think there's any coating on the steel, since its straight rolled out of the factory, not coated like appliances are. Glass however is.
I tried this on my Cybertruck. The truck was close to perfect afterwards and it is far easier than the more careful "hand wash" I was doing. I used Adam's Car Wash Shampoo (Gallon) - pH Car Wash Soap for Snow Foam Cannon from Amazon in a foam Cannon and my pressure washer. Super fast and easy
Nice job. I hand wash with blue Dawn dish soap and it works great every time. Foam it up kind of like you in this video, let it sit for a couple of minutes, then hose rinse and dry. Every other month I do the barkeeper's friend just because I am mental. It doesn't need it, but it is my therapy (and it looks amazing afterwards and makes a big difference in the color of the finish). Auto car washes also are fine if in a pinch. I could go to the do-it-yourself wash like in this video, but prefer to just hand wash at home. Nice to know this is an option though. Thanks!
Why would I get hate in the top 10 wokest towns in America?? It used to bother me but now I feel great pleasure knowing they have to cry themselves to sleep every night after Trump won. 😁
Here in Shitcago Illinois ive never seen one of these types of do it yourself carwashes that have thst MAG cleaner. They all just hav the tradional wash setting on one nozzle but no bug/mag special nozzle
I feel your pain. From NJ. They barely have DIY CARWASH. This setup is definitely a mountain and rural America thing. The car wash I showed is on canyon road. Your first stop coming out of the mountains.
If you wanna clean your cyber truck, make sure to turn on car wash mode that will nothing get damage except for the metal steel because it’s not made of paint
Whoa another firefighter with a Cybertruck? I thought I was the only one. Thanks for the tips. I've taken it to our local car wash but I went through all the settings. Good to know I can skip 60% of them next time and get the same or better results.
I do pretty much the same thing about every other week or so, but I only use the spot-free rinse (no soap), then dry it with a towel and shammy. The trick is that you want to dry it while it's still in the bay (not in direct sunlight). In between washes, I just use non-ammonia glass cleaner to get the bugs, pollen, and fingerprints off. You're right, it's about a 10 minute per week job. 👍👍👍
Running my cyber truck through a touchless car wash cleans it perfectly, absolutely no fingerprints on the vehicle. I don’t even have to dry it as I have about a 2 mile drive home.
It's high or low pH. I found the same thing at my local touchless wash. It does the best job cleaning everything off, then I just dry off with a towel and it's spotless. These products will discolor the black trim - apply a protectant like Chemical Guys VRP to prevent that. Previously (with my other Teslas) I would always hand wash at home, I don't see the point now.
No, 300 series SS is OK with high pH: Stainless steel is highly resistant to alkaline conditions, any solution with a pH range of 8 to about 12 will be compatible. However, there is a narrow region where corrosion can start when using very alkaline solutions of pH 13 to 14. The greatest risk by far is using acidic solutions.
I got 1:47 seconds in and couldn't take anymore. Washing a clean truck two days in a row to show how to do it? If you are that OCD that the passengers prints are getting to you, take a rag, and some glass cleaner, and 5 minutes, and they're gone. Just like you.
There is so much dis-information on the Internet! All mass produced vehicles are designed to be able to go through an automatic Car Wash from the factory. With a cyber truck and possibly other Teslas, you have to put it in car wash mode every time you take it through an automatic Car Wash, otherwise you will void your warranty.
Remember when MSM said the vaccine was safe and effective? Well, the cyber truck doesn’t rust. as for its looks, the fact that you’re here commenting, and watching videos about a truck you supposedly hate, speak volumes.
I am in Erie, CO, there seems to be CTs everywhere now!

Great to hear
These high maintenance trucks sounds gay. I’ll just stick with my 2010 Silverado

Do you get much hate in boulder for owning a cybertruck?

pre soak, soap, wax , done. that's my model y at the local touchless wash. not sure about the cybertruck steel. costs 2-6$ in quarters

Why have I heard going through car washes hurts the cyber truck?
It doesn't. People just think washing it makes it rust, but I've taken my through a car wash multiple times, and there has been no rust.
Because the internet is filled w crazy things. The truck has a button labeled “car wash”.
Lots of FUD out there. Tesla haters gonna hate.
I figured, but wanted to see if there was a shred of truth
Thank you gentlemen

whats in this stuff? Who makes it? Is it safe?
What is the VRP product? I can’t quite see that on their site.
I’m in Longmont. There’s 3-4 in town
Thanks for washing and recording at the same time.
I'm impressed. We struggle (a little) cleaning ours to get it non-"splotchy". I'll try to emulate your method.
Great let me know how it comes out. I think the longer you leave that foam on, the better
Ha! I went to that car wash while on a road trip in 2021! Lol!
thank for the tip !
SUPER clean fridge
We've heard this comparison for over 5 years now. Try being original for once.
I completely concur, the pre-soaker solution is absolutely fantastic. The vehicle wash near me is my favorite place to go.
It's alkaline, eventually it's gonna pit and corrode stainless. You need to neutralize it afterwords or in a year or so your gonna be sol.
I wonder if this stainless steel is different than the standard type. I guess using the powerwash soap is a good idea then.

really good info thanks for sharing
might be dark fury, maybe
Just wrap it bro
thats what she said... :)
Wear Gloves when using. Never know what people had on their hands
That’s why I have an immune system.

Calm down there Greg it’s only a TH-cam video. I came back the next day to record what I had done previously. Happy you enjoyed it.
12:01s Looks like CGI

Yes.. I've done a Carwash video very recently.
I found a gallon of gasoline and a match on it is the best way to clean a cyber truck. It's really good for the environment to. You should try it.
LOL you're mad at a truck and spending time watching how to wash them.
Guys. I'm going to change your cyber lives. Use wd40. On the whole truck. Yes.
that thing is so ugly. why bothering to wash it. besides it rusts.
Remember when MSM said the vaccine was safe and effective? Well, the cyber truck doesn’t rust. as for its looks, the fact that you’re here commenting, and watching videos about a truck you supposedly hate, speak volumes.
It's just degreaser
worst truck ever lol
Yes. So shitty you’re spending your free time watching videos about how to clean it. Get a life. Or admit you secretly love it.
I think the Dodge Dakota Convertible would be a contender.
@@CyberTruckOnelol rent free living in their heads. Gonna try your method today, I hope I can find a local wash with that “mag” soap
You claim to dislike the CT and will never have the 100k to own one so all you can do is trash talk it. What a loser.
