Neo ordered but it will be October before I get it here in the USA. I ordered the combo pack without the RC. Thanks for testing the new firmware. I did update my RC2 and it says that it should work with the Neo when I receive it. Cheers. I like your Yankee hat!

Hello Sir, I'm experiencing a problem with the DJI Fly app (version 1.14.1). After updating to this version, the app keeps crashing on launch. I've tried restarting my device and reinstalling the app, but the issue persists. I am using Samsung Phone..

Thx for another great video...some of us PICs have experienced A/C shut down during updates due to over heating... you decide if you want to pass along this simple fix (cool down the drone) lol... use an external fan blowing in into the front the front of the drone 🙄
@@rickkenyon8486 never had any problems with over heating doing updates. You can always update the controller first then do the drone firmware afterwards 👍 thanks 🙏

*Like any new release, it’s better waiting a few months for software updates & more importantly a pro version (better camera & possible partial obstacle avoidance) will eventually come out, but DJI want consumers to buy into the form format of the NEO, as they will then want to upgrade to the pro version.*
@@darrylrp I think a pro version is way off yet. 👍
@@nobby-green yeah I agree, but it will come eventually, the improvement in pitch also needs to be addressed, like they did on the Avata 2. They just want to see the buy into the form format to establish whether investment in further development is a consideration, but they won’t want to match or get it anywhere near the Avata 2, otherwise they’ll impact the sales of that model. I sure were see videos soon of people attaching better cameras to see how it handles, which probably won’t be well due to its size and handling in only light wind conditions.
@@darrylrp yes possibly. It’s never gonna be an avarta 2 that’s for sure. As for mounting other cameras you might get away with a insta go 2 something light weight 🤷♂️Now it’s arrived I will be putting it through its paces 😁 thanks 🙏

Cheers Nobby, very informative as per…I just got a Neo after watching multiple YT stuff, finally convinced myself and for the price it seemed great..but not the bundle, no need to as my RC2 will work fine should I need it, think once I’ve changed all the parameters in the various modes using the Fly App the RC2 will not be needed so much anyway👍be interested to see your review😊

Nice update and thanks for your channel. Question: Might it be a good idea to perform the compass calibration? Might that solve the compass issue you see? Also, after watching so many other channels, rarely if ever do we see encouragement to perform the IMU calibration ... which might be good to do after so many firmware updates ... just a thought ...
@@WindowViewHarmony yes normally after a firmware update it prompts you to calibrate the compass but it didn’t this time. But I will look next time I fly it could need doing 👍 thanks 🙏
I think the Neo is perfect for indoor use for people like estate agents or creators who do building walkthroughs.

@@nobby-green I’ve used my Avata 2 for interior footage but the downdraught from it makes things move. Hopefully the Neo won’t have that problem.

Mine also compass was of course by 20 degrees, I measured on a straight line focusing.

Thanks Nobby. 1.14.1 just arrived on my Fly App on Android. I'm using an older OnePlus 8 Pro. Don't have access to a Pixel.

Compass... Never use it, only the radar map and its red line...
Not using any of the "toy functions" I'm perfectly happy with both the Mini 3 pro and the Mavic 3 pro. Likely the versions are antic...
They fly like the train move on its rails, maybe because they are not exposed to DJI updates.
Some other tests were carried out here today: Activating Sports Mode and hand catching.
4 times success out of 6 attempts. Still don't know what made the 2 fails, the3 drone be obstinate... But, don't grab the drone until the props are off! Else You need power in the fingers...
Maybe using the old, more tedious, way, switching of the down sensors off will be used......

I thought a compass calibration is recommended after updates.
It doesnt always let you update the compass but it does notify you when one is required. Thanks
I have this same issue with the compass (android) Seems to effect the RC signal strength. Thought i had a faulty unit but it seems more widespread. Hoping for a fix

My mavic 3 is not acting right its now telling me im going 114 mph this update is not a good update

This latest firmware update is crashing my DJI Fly Safe app on my RC Pro. I am about to reach out to DJI to get this resolved. The app keeps crashing when I try to open it. This isn't good.

My controller rc2 and my neo are essentially bricks now. I did a firmware update and now nothing connects with anything. Any it won't let me use the neo alone now, it wants me to connect it to a controller but it won't so it's a circle and nothing works.

Hello nobby i just updated this new fly app 1.14.0 and the latest firmware for the mini 4 pro and rc2 controller and i noticed laggy video and signal dropout less than 1000 feet which i never had any problems before until this new updates.Just wondering if anyone else experienced these problems.

Hi nobby. i downloaded the latest firmware to my RC2 but unfortunately my DJI Neo refused to pair up to it. Is it possible to remove the latest firmware I installed in the controller and try again. Unless you have some ideas which I can try to get it going. Like you I just bought the drone only so keen to try it with the controller/Thanks
@@ridewithwarro I wouldn’t thought it would be the update. Did you activate the drone? I haven’t got mine yet it’s on its way so will let you know later. Do you see the Neo on the connection menu?
@@nobby-green Yeah I actually had it in pairing mode. It beeped and did a 60 second countdown then a message on the remote screen read -unable to pair. apart from that a nice little drone and bery compact. I did a hand launch so it works fine there

I have delete the app install a lower version of the app that was okay. After I update the app and it’s okay now. I think the download went wrong before. I can see the adjustments again. 👍👍

I'm having problems with version 1.14.1 (Mini3) viewing the vertical camera,
When I change from horizontal to vertical the application screen does not rotate automatically, the menu to change modes (H/V) is blocked after that!
Is anyone else having the same problem?

@@nobby-green It didn't work, I reinstalled the app and the problem continues, when clicking on the icon to turn the camera vertically, the app doesn't do this on the screen and it's not possible to return to horizontal mode after that! I will install the old version of the app until a new one comes out!
