I just received my DJI Mini 4 and don't think a guard, clip, belt should be the answer for this. Velcro definitely is NOT the answer either. The provided accessory would take to long to figure out, first time or limited usage is a horrible experience. So in short I think you identified the issue BUT did NOT find a good answer. This small little product is VERY expensive and I believe a molded storage case is the answer. Unzip one end, slip it in and zip it up. A 2 sec operation. Marked well this will be easy to understand the first time and everybody would easily understand how to use the molded bag. It would protect well not hurt my expensive little drone. As is ... the drone could easily become damaged by a new user trying to figure out the provided accessory.

Hi Nobby. I up dated the firmware on my Air3 S and now the tracking is in a word "Crap" I don't know why, be for the update it worked really well.... Richard

A not relevant but desperat question. It looks like clear to get permission to fly very close to a military airbase to record the property of my farming relative. By chance I visited them a few days ago and had the drone ready for another flight. We talked about recording his property. Cutting down the story, I started up the Mavic 3 pro system, without intention to fly, to check things up. Flying was denied by DJI. Even starting the props was blocked. The warning message was: The name of the base and Authorization zone. The DJI procedure to unlock this has been found. Once having the permit from the base I'm thinking of just erasing the data blocking the flight in order to bypass DJI having the all go from the airbase. What do You say?

So, now we know! A bit of common sense when DJI were writing their manual could have made all the difference.

The behaviour that you saw (and that DJI were insisting was correct) is exactly what you'd expect from a sub-65W charger. I wonder if it needs a PPS charger, rather than PD, to achieve simultaneous charging? DJI's 65W GaN charger supports PPS in addition to PD. Do you know if your 100W charger supports PPS?

My RC2 leaves my flight screen and randomly goes to Home Screen right in the middle of flight! This is super scary, especially when my Mini PRo 4 is out of visual range.

Great info, just watched Gavin HR video and came over to yours, though these chargers are cheaper on the DJI website as opposed to Amazon.

This stuff is over my head. lol. Shocker right???? Yet again DJI dropped the ball with lack of communication. I’m beginning to think they know they’re elite and are starting to not care. That’s what happens here in the US a lot of times. lol.

Hat off for You Nobby! When You've picked up a trace You follow it like a Terrier..... Joking! Often flying the Mavic 3 pro batteries down to almost 10% immediate charging is required. Charging in the car the power is limited. When one battery is on "support charge" and the second battery needs urgent charging it would be nice to be able to do it. The primitive solution I see is using 2 hubs and two 12 would powered chargers. Lot's of gear.....

I’m waiting on that last mini 2 update to come. Hahaha

I’ve flown the mini 2 in the fog and never had any problems. Then I flew the mini 4 pro in the fog and the obstacle avoidance went wonky if that’s the word. lol. If I remember right, the obstacle avoidance turned itself off in the fog saying something about insufficient lighting maybe but I really can’t remember. I’d think they would wanna use the same approach with the flip rather than making it just stop like it does. At least the obstacle avoidance turned off when it went into landing mode, eh? lol

Can you use 2 remote for multiple compatible drones. I kind of like that its discontinued. Makes us unique 😊

The issues are 2.. one there was a bug (seems solved now by charging batteries on drone to 100% first) that a nearly full battery (so only taking say 1watt) would block the charging of a empty one (that could charge up to 45watts). The second issue is dji's odd implementation to get dual charging you need to supply PD 15volts/4.5amps and most chargers only do 15volts/3amps and then go to a higher voltage of 20volts/5amps (100watts) or 28volt/5amps (140watts). DJI decided not support any 20volt or 28volt inputs so many (including all ankers) will not work because they don't support 15volt>3amps.

Nice vid Nobby, i think you should try the follow mode and see if the follow frames the subject correctly. I heard it was cutting the feet off people when in follow mode as it’s too close. Im DJI , that’s not looking good.probably wanted to get on top of that. Can’t have those blokes paying 400 quid and not even getting them in the full shot. That said, I’m in the camp that the RTH won’t return home if the fog rolls in, needs to be fixed asap. Hope you have less winds for your next test or adventure. Hi i too got the update yesterday, what it happened to me before installing the new firmware is that starting the drone in sports mode and infront of a wall it went full throttle to the roof ( i was on a balcony) i had slightly push the up stick ... After the update i started again like that, and now was a very controlled take off, dont know if it was the software or the hit it took fixed it xD

I updated mine after seeing your video. Had quite a few problems, the download speed was incredibly slow then it halted saying I needed to free up some space, I eventually had to do a factory reset and after a great deal of time everything is ok now...touch wood

I really wonder if DJI forgot to release updates for the Mini 4 Pro..?🤔
