    I keep holding on to my Xfire module lol!! I see you guys over there on elrs... it's like Christmas every 6 months, and I'm still over here trying to remember to reset my power output everytime i turn the radio back on lol! This may be the one that gets me over! Is anybody doing any long range testing with these yet?? Thanks JB!! You are a true asset to the hobby, and I doubt I'd have ever gotten off the ground without your help!

    Impressive! And at such a reasonable price, too. My HapptModel ES24TX Pro has served me well for 2 years, but it needs a new antenna, which was set to cost me a quarter of the cost of a whole new module. I've been drooling over the Radiomaster modules for some time, and the chance to get a good brand dual band gemini module for cheap was the final straw. I have slapped the money down and ordered one direct from RadioMaster, complete set of module + xrossband receiver + all the antennas. Now I just need a quad to put it in!! I love that this will just keep working with my existing quads while giving me a no-risk route to experiment with 900 MHz and Gemini. Bravo, ExpressLRS team and RadioMaster, you are just hitting the ball out of the park.

    As a happy owner of a Boxer 4in1, migrating to ELRS, I have both Ranger and Bandit module, because I use both 2.4 and 915 frequencies, depending on the day and depending on the model Iḿ flying. Now I can have both frequencies in only one TX module. This is great for my applications, and yes, I already have pre-ordered one.

    Always thought that "Dual Band ELSR" (900/2.4) will work in a way that for example: You will set a 1000Hz rate, and 1000 packages will be transmitted over 2.4 (with benefits of latency), and every 10 packages, a package will be sent through 900Mhz. That is why You will get a speed of 2.4 and 'failsafe communication' over 900.

    Hey I'm pretty new to fpv but have so far I've been able to figure out enough to have a lot of fun flying my first drone, the speedybee bee25 cinewhoop. I have been excited about the prospect of longer range cruisers, and got myself a geprc tern lr40 equipped with elsr 915 receiver, and a Nomad module for my boxer crush.
    Getting the Nomad working was not at all straight forward, and I'm surprised that in this video you didn't show that process, or maybe I missed it? Is this process covered in your edge tx video?

    I fly 900mhz almost exclusively with my FPV gear and had two instances of close-range (about 200m clear line of sight) failsafe due to what I assume was a nearby high power aggressor. RTH worked, so no biggie, but I'm pretty sure X band ELRS or FrSky Tandem would have prevented the link loss. I can see how the majority of current 900mhz pilots transition to this.

      I still use ELRS on my whoops and Crossfire on everything else. I carry RadioMaster ELRS gear in my shop, and stil
      l prefer Crossfire for my daily connection. It's easier to use and more reliable in my tests. Elrs is faster, rapidly evolving, but also more fragmented and complicated as a result.

      I am not a TBS fanboy, but I have played quite a bit with those Semtech transcievers and on low fps/higher latency modes on 'low band' great range and penetration can be achieved. That's why I believe Crossfire might have an edge in that area. Though I have never tested ELRS vs Crossfire head to head in demanding conditions.

      Im wrong about the 800 part. Low band is an accurate description of the transceiver capability

    • @maskedviperus
      @maskedviperus 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's actually really interesting. I wonder how far out of band the front end can handle. Like I'm sure something like 150mhz would probably burn up the amplifier with high swr.....but this chipset opens some doors for those of us who tinker

    Does anyone know what frame will be able to mount this receiver? Im new to FPV and I just purchased the TX16s JB version and the Nomad module and the DBR4 Dual Band Xross Gemini ExpressLRS Receiver. This might be a dumb question but I just jumped right in. I think i may have complicated or limited my choices on the frame now that i purchased this module .

      You can use this module with literally any ELRS receiver. You don't have to use the 4x-antenna receiver. And for most uses, you shouldn't.
