I love how finally there’s a “Certified Doctor” sign right under the video, where it demonstrates the reliability of her information. I have been following you for YEARS. You have helped me a TON to remain educated, and especially, to know when it was time to seek professional help with my past severe acne. Then finally went on accutane and also fought with my hyperpigmentation after the literal war I had going on on my face. And I remember I used to rely on her advice and knew how to act and that made my stepdad call out the fact that watching “someone random on youtube” wouldn’t help. Years later, I am still eager to keep gaining knowledge to maintain my skin clear and healthy. I’m waaay happier right now, thank you for what you do, and thank you for sharing your abundant knowledge with all of us and changing people’s lives. Thank you, Dr. Dray. ❤
Dr. Dray, I hope you read this! I am immensely thankful for this video! I am a lighter complexion and my elbows have been dark since I can remember. I often got asked if I had fallen when I wore short sleeves. So many comments that I stopped wearing short sleeves. I had tried so many things for years and nothing worked, no matter how well I followed a routine. After running into this video, I purchased urea. I’ve used it over night along with Dr. Scholl’s restoring balm during the day. I started this in September and today I finally saw a ‘normal’ elbow in the mirror. Tomorrow I will confidently wear a short sleeve blouse for the first time in years! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
I've been using the Eucerin since you recommended it for wobbly under arms. I use it all over now. I make sure I put it on when I'm still wet from the shower, as you suggested. HUGE difference. My knees and elbows are now the same as the rest of my skin. Two tips if I may. 1. When you put your sunscreen on, flex your knees and elbow so the skin is stretched flat. Then put on the lotion. Better coverage means lighter skin. 2. If you use fresh lemons in cooking, save those squished out lemon halves. I keep mine in a ziplock bag in the fridge. Before I go to bed I rub the inside of the lemons on my elbows and knees. I wouldn't recommend doing this too often. It exfoliates and bleaches the skin ( a little). Thanks as always for your wonderful videos. 👍🏻👍🏻

Dear Dr. Dray - at age 45, I’m still not willing to show people the self injury scars I have on my arms. This makes summer months even more difficult. It's fascinating to hear this explanation and possible remedies. Thank you Dr. Dray. I never fail to learn something useful from your videos.

Dr dray, thank you. I’ve been dealing with severe eczema elbows that are dark, scabby, flaky, and weepy. started after some experiments with sulfur soap. Literally took the skin right off 😢 it’s still not healed. Thank you for understanding that urea and Ahas sting like cRazy. I’m always hesitant to use them as I have full body eczema. No one understands that. Also I’ve noticed the skin will slough off and get stuck under my nails when scratching when using a urea based moisturizer which is so gross I am so excited to use gold bond retinol. Thanks for the deep dive on the ingredients. I have not used anything else that is so emollient and spreads nicely as that. I have used the lotion version of tone and texture, I didn’t like it as much and didn’t finish the bottle before passing it on to family. Haven’t tried the cream yet. Eucerin was ok, it did sting like crazy upon application, but it got better about halfway through the bottle. I am still trying to get good at sunscreen so I haven’t repurchased yet due to the ahas. This video encouraged me to pull out the eucerin roughness relief cream and put it on my scabby elbows. No burn! Has urea and lactic acid. Very thick and emollient
Dr Dray, would you please consider a video on Cosmelan? Is it reliable and safe? Many thanks for your excellent videos. So valuable for so many people.
Retinol becomes inactivated by sunlight so it depends on whether these areas are exposed to the sun. I apply retinol on several body parts that I wait until right before bed. I don't bother washing off in the morning though
I sporadically try to address this by wiping with TO Glycolic acid or applying Amlactin. I cannot say if it works as it is not a major cause of concern but I figure it cannot hurt! Thanks as always Dr. Dray! I am going to try that Gold Bond lotion!

Thank you for understanding that urea and Ahas sting like cRazy. I’m always hesitant to use them as I have full body eczema. No one understands that. Also I’ve noticed the skin will slough off and get stuck under my nails when scratching when using a urea based moisturizer which is so gross
I am so excited to use gold bond retinol.
So Dr Dray, for my darkened back from notalgia paresthetica, is UREA good for that discoloration as well??🙏🙏
It may help
@@DrDrayzday may i ask if the goldbond u showed w retinol and niacinamide may help better than urea alone?
@@phillyjillyyes it would if tolerated. It’s a good product!
Dr Dray, would you please consider a video on Cosmelan? Is it reliable and safe? Many thanks for your excellent videos. So valuable for so many people.
In the meantime two cosmetic dermatologists have videos on this, jason emer and a recent one from davin lim.
Should we use retinol twice a day or just once a day on these dark areas?
Retinol becomes inactivated by sunlight so it depends on whether these areas are exposed to the sun. I apply retinol on several body parts that I wait until right before bed. I don't bother washing off in the morning though
I sporadically try to address this by wiping with TO Glycolic acid or applying Amlactin. I cannot say if it works as it is not a major cause of concern but I figure it cannot hurt! Thanks as always Dr. Dray! I am going to try that Gold Bond lotion!
Thanks for watching
Happy Wednesday Dr Dray….see you tomorrow x💙🤩
Dr. Andrea, I missed the black flower hair clip on the mic today😊
Thank you
Happy Wednesday Dr Dray ❤
Morning!
damn I love your videos!!! so happy I managed to catch an upload of yours 5minutes from your uploading!!!! 🙋🏻♀️👋🏼 hi all the way from Singapore 😚 would you ever review maybe like a bunch of products from brands such as Ponds / Aprilskin?? 🩷🩷 love y
Thanks for watching. Aside from the cold cream, no
The one dermatologist I've seen talk about a few of the Aprilskin products is jenny liu.
30 years ago a derm told me to use AmLactin on my dark, dry knees. Worked like a charm and I have been using it ever since on my legs and arms.
Hi,
Could you specify which AmLactin lotion? Thank you.
how about glutathione?
Doesn’t work
I've been using urea and I think it has helped on this issue of mine a lot ☺️
Glad to hear this has helped 👍🏼
Can you please list down Indian equivalents of the suggested products?
Is it okay to use these products on dark underarms and buttocks?
Try benzoyl peroxide cleanser for underarms. You can use these on your butt
Dr dray could you suggest something for body uneven tone at some part of the body like back and neck area
The same product but should get checked out by a doctor if you don't know the cause.
A lot of the same products recommended in this video and other dermatology videos will apply. You can also do a search, dr body hyperpigmentation, to find suggestions.
Happy Wednesday dr dray ,love this l love coming here to watch your videos 😊❤xx
Morning!
Can my 10 year old use amlactin. -salicylic acid. For bumpy skin?
Best to check with your pediatrician.
Keratosis pillaris
Yea, I’d check with dr. Should be fine, but never know for that young. I guess trying a polyhydroxy acid or urea would be most gentle.
U r awesome. Thanjs!!!!!!
Is am Lactin gonna help dr dray? It has lactic acid which is also gonna help with my keratosis pilaris. It's hard to solve two conditions at once. ❤😢
She said yes in a previous comment
