    I keep a moisturizer in the shower and use it while I’m damp. This is what I recommend for everyone regardless of skin type. Just make sure its fragrance free and good quality. Works like a charm.

      This is actually how lotion is SUPPOSED to be used... Always applied to damp skin, so this is def a great tip! 😀 For folks new to this, think about how much better your hand lotion absorbs when you apply it right after washing your hands... Boom, same thing for body.

    • @justRoRo

      @@anikajoy5739 that's not really a bodywide issue and not applicable to all (whereas how to apply lotion *properly, is,), however, you'll want to pay special attention if that's an area of concern, to spots like feet, and where there are folds of skin like under breast etc. But it's highly unlikely to have skin fungus issues (for the average person) on just extremities and torso 🙂

    Im all about minimizing products into one that does all so if anyone else is struggling with multiple/all of these issues I strongly recommend the CeraVe moisturizing cream for psoriasis. My dermatologist recommended it to me & it has become my holy grail lotion. It has 5% urea, niacinamide, 2% salacylic acid, ceramides, & lactic acid. Basically all ingredients that can tackle the issues in this video.

    I use the bioderma shower oil, it's amazing and altho anti-irratant it does have a light scent I love but folks should know. Also if you're on a budget - it DOES come in smaller sizes, so if you can't do the $30, they also have a $9, and $20 size. Luckily, a little of this oil goes a long way, so it will last a long time no matter the size. ❤

    • @Soireb
      @Soireb 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Would you say that it could work as a first cleanse to remove sunscreen? I have a good oil cleanser for my face, but the bottle is small and it won’t last if I’m using it in the entire body. Do you think that this Bioderma product would work in that scenario?

    • @justRoRo
      @justRoRo 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      @@Soireb I use it for body primarily (I use la Roche-Posey products on face most times). Although you can definitely use it in face also. However, you use it on wet skin, unlike a face oil cleanser, so if you're trying to use it on dry skin for the oil massaging first, it's not meant for that, but does definitely remove sun screen and makeup regardless

    • @Soireb
      @Soireb 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@justRoRo Thank you for replying. I definitely want it for the body. I’m between Puerto Rico and Florida, so I use sunscreen on the body too. I have a face oil cleanser that i like but it is also about $30 in such a small bottle, that if I use it for the body too it will become extremely expensive to buy. So I’m looking for a body alternative.

    • @goodwitch_glenda
      @goodwitch_glenda 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The smaller sizes are usually more expensive for the amount though. So if you can, get the big one because it’s cheaper for the amount you get.

    • @justRoRo
      @justRoRo 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@goodwitch_glenda my comment was for people who literally can not afford to spend $30 but can afford $10. ESPECIALLY for something they've never tried before and don't know how their skin will react or even if they like it, they may not have a "spare" $30 to waste for a month and my comment is helpful. If that doesn't apply to you, that's fine, then it wasn't meant for you or your budget. If you have problem skin, but are also low income, those options matter when trying a new product.

    I am really enjoying the Gold Bond retinol lotion - the texture is light, it's unscented, and a tube is $13. It's effective, too.
    I find retinol works well on my KP as well as on crepey skin.

    Thank you so much for all your informative (and very useful) videos!! With summer basically here, I had a question about body sunscreen application. Since it’s recommended to apply sunscreen on our faces even while we’re indoors, should we also be applying it to our bodies (like arms, hands)? I’m so worried about hyperpigmentation on my hands! Lastly, do you have any specific sunscreen recommendations for the office folks? Lol thanks in advance!

    I am huge on looking into ingredients etc... And I'm cheap lol so for my severe kp I purchase a lactic acid lotion being as that's the main ingredient used. 2 big bottles for like $12. I also do not bother with special soaps and scrubs for kp because it's literally going down the drain. Good scrub gloves and a non clogging, moisturing etc wash or scrub does the job.

    Thanks for all your videos, Dr Shereene! I am a new subscriber. I'm 58 and have had eczema since 6 weeks old.
    Do you know what causes it? I am a bit late getting into anti-aging but what do you recommend for the face when prone to eczema? Are the usual things ok? Vit C, Retinols, Niacinamide, Ceramides, AHA's or PHA's? It'd be lovely if you could do a video on anti-aging facial routines especially for eczema sufferers. Thank you.

    I struggeled with celullite and it was my big insecurity. I do not agree that creams do not help. Regular creams do not help BUT I used two creams (two different brands - one was from EU other from Asia) that were with some chilli ingredient - specially for the body and cellulite. I putted these creams on my butt and tights, wrapped tightly plastic wrap and sit for about 90 minutes. IT WAS HELL, but as I said I was desperate. I was doing it once per 5-7 days untill finished one cream then after some time got the other and by the end of it my skin was visibly better, I am basically no longer bothered about it. I have noticed like 80% improvement. Side note I am slim person with about right or slighlty lower BMI, I sued the brushes, but they did nothing to me. Good diet and exercise helps too, but I was having both and cellulite, so I if someone looks for help, I recommend some burning cream routine

    For KP, I love love love ameliorate transforming body lotion. It is surprisingly rarely mentioned in kp videos and I don’t understand why because it is awesome! It really works, my skin is now so smooth, and also it is so delicate for my sensitive skin and very moisturising too. I swear by it. I can’t believe still the effect that it had on my KP. Alternatively Cerave SA smoothing cream is effective too but a little aggressive in my opinion. It makes me peel all over. Ameliorate never does
