This is why I barely have any friends. Truth be told this video describes MOST people. Most people are fake, manipulative & self absorbed. Most people are NOT good people. With that said, I prefer to be by myself. I am my own best friend & I can do great all by myself ❤️
Great information! Keeping up with forced friendship or trying to be friends with someone who does not really care about you can be quite draining and frustrating.

The worst thing for me was when after many years of friendship with everything that it entails, years when you trust your friend, you find out that they are plotting behind your back, gossiping and spreading rumors. That is ugly, but what I found more painful was my betrayed trust in them and the years that I thought that our friendship was genuine and that they use you for them not to feel alone. Then I ask myself if people understand what friendship is. Friendship is a relationship that includes moral values like honesty, patience, appreciation, some kind of feeling that tells you that this is my friend that I trust. That's big, because you don't trust everyone you meet.
As soon as I began saying what I wanted to and not caring what other people think, more people started respecting me for being real, even if they disagree with my stance on certain things. Then of course there are the people who get offended at what I say and disappear, which is perfectly fine with me.

I'm not fake. If i don't like you i don't pretend that i do. I stay far away. It's best for my peace of mind and happiness. I'm not good at pretending and lying.
It takes me a long time to open up to people. I prefer to listen carefully to what they have to say. That generally tells me all that i need to know. I've always been pretty much of a loner by choice, so i'm comfortable in my own skin. Smaller circle = Less drama, arguments, and headaches.

I feel like I’m a fake friend because since I can’t think of anything to say since I’m awkward I compliment my friends often and voice changing can be a sign of being shy..and the facial expressions part I have trouble with expressing my emotions..god I feel so awful :)

Right now I can think of one person who is a pretender and sadly it's in extended family. Even the way she says my name gives me the creeps. I have tried to kill her with kindness but it has not worked. I can't avoid her but I'm not going to cozy up to her anymore either. Another good one brainy dose.
People have always behaved like this towards me.. I just don't understand what I have done wrong.. even if I tried to be friendly it didn't seem to work..whatever I said or did was wrong and some of them would laugh for no real reason or they would simply stare at me.. I do not think somebody could possibly be jealous because I've never thought to be that special but these things have really hurt me in the past.. that's why now I have no problem to be harsh if necessary and most important to keep them away from me.. For sometime I had to pretend I actually liked one of my former managers but I left as soon as I could.. gossipy, drunk and stoned.. what a relief when I left!!

Ive almost always veen able to tell when someone is faking being nice to me, i think it has to do with me beibg an empath and can feel their deceptive nature.

I must be a terrible person, because if I don't like somebody I just tell them straight out. And if I care about somebody?, I just tell them come back and talk to me when you're doing something productive!. Show me the receipts, and people that talk about other people?, that doesn't bother me not the slightest in fact I tell the person directly in their face that I'm going to tell them things about other people about them the way they're behaving!.
I think I'm just a very direct person. And if I have hobbies and someone else is not interested in them,?. That's okay I try to get to know their Hobbies but if they don't have any and they seem to be bouncing around through drama?. And then they come out and ask for money?, I stopped them directly in their tracks I hold up my hand and I tell them a lot of brutal truths and they're just run out the house!.

Show me what you have done in your life come back to me when you have achieved some extra curriculums, and then I hand them a big fat book with lots of resources of information. Wow Brainy Dose, you just described my neighbor Kelly, who lives upstairs and 2 doors across from me. In the beginning, she was ever-so-nice. As a stylist, she even used to do my hair. I paid her of course. Then, she got Lupus and her true colors emerged, she made promises she never kept, totally ignored my concern for her health, and avoided me as I too have a chronic condition. One day out of the blue, she turned up at my door. It had been 10 months since I last saw her, turns out all her 'friends' got fed up with her constant sniveling about her condition, so they stopped inviting her to parties, cookouts, coffees etcetera. That's WHY she finally came to see me. I wasn't thrilled to see her, so I wasn't very cordial. Turns out I was the last shoulder for her to cry on. Boy did she ever pick the wrong sounding board to dump on. 😊😘Can't thank you enough Brainy Dose.
