Solution - don’t share your information with jealous people. If they manage to get, taunt, pass sarcastic insults, gossip about you. Don’t react, step back observe & respond, remember not everything deserves your response too. Arguments that are leading no where, become silent & walk away. Once you recognise jealous people, keep healthy distance from them, let them deal with insecurities themselves.

I think, the only way to combat jealousy is to improve our own abilities and capabilities that don't exist on the person that we envy. For example, if she's pretty and intelligent, well I'm good in planting plants, sketching anime and more.We have our own lanes in life.Our own journey. We don't need to mess up other's journey. This person might belittled you for being a weak person but it doesn't mean that you have to wish for her downfall. Instead, just pray that she'll be a good person toward you.

My neighbor is jealous of me. It started with spreading rumors to the other neighbors about me. Someone told me and I laughed and left it alone. They even told me that she always brought me up and talked about me all the time, but she don't even know me so what was there to even talk about? Anyway then she started playing on my door and hurrying up and running back into the house. So I reported her to the rent office. I went ahead and reported everything that went on just in case it got worse. She stopped playing on my door but then she started slashing my tires on my car. I knew it was her, especially after all that other bs had happened. I brought a camera for my car and it stopped for a while but now I think it's happening again. And it's happening late at night. Old footage gets deleted after so much time passes so I haven't caught it yet smh. I have to buy a memory card that stores more footage for a longer period of time. But if I catch her doing it, I'm pressing charges and reporting her to the rent office again. I have had enough and I refuse to step out of character for someone that has a problem that has nothin to do with me. A problem they only have with themselves.

I’ve had jealousy my whole life. I was the youngest child of six. My mother used to tell me jealousy is a sickness. I’ve come to learn that most people that are jealous are very negative people. I’m very happy go lucky and brush it off.

Yes it is full of insecurities and unhealthy comparisons with others. But it is not healthy for the person who is the targeted individual. I been a victim of a lot of people's jealous and envy. It not fair how you can work on something and put your all into it and motivation and the determination to go with what you are working for. As well as the sacrifices you have to make to get where you want to be and out of nowhere here comes them bastards. They will burn so much with hate for you that you can see it in their eyes they want you dead and if you don't be careful they will try to assasinat you. My partner will start disagreeing with me, twist my words, and then repeat my own words to prove himself right. Then he will deny that is what I said. He loves the unnecessary drama and trying to be right all the time. He even told me my degrees are not important but I make a lot more money than him because of those degrees.

I know I will get attacked for admitting this, but I was a jealous person for far longer than I'd like to admit. Everything in this video is true. I had a major inferiority complex amd I was miserable with my own life. One day, I had to have serious conversation with myself. I recognized my accomplishments and owned up to my shortcomings. I vowed to stop being jealous of everyone and everything. By the way, through all of this, one thing I knew that I could never do was get a Facebook account. I have never had Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
Anyway, I no longer express my insecurity through jealousy. Life is more enjoyable now.

Know a lot about these types of people. I have been bullied, humiliated, felt like I was acting childish and like I was the attention seeker. I would have the spotlight on me occasionally for good things and then some one would always ruin the moment. Had a group of former friends who would start drama over anything. The more I hanged out with them, the more mentally drained I felt. I have depression, insecurities, mood swings and anxiety. And they were completely toxic and brought down my mood. Now I cut people like that out of my life and only keep positive people

It sucks when the person who fits all 10 of these signs is your own sister. It was nothing but a competition with her but she never seemed to realize that she was the only one competing... Life has been 100% better since I cut her out of my life. If you have a toxic family member who is making you miserable, cut ties with them. They will only bring you down and just because they are family doesn't mean you have to deal with it. Just my bit of advice that I wish someone had given me YEARS ago :)

@@nonamejane3590 My mom did that too and everytime I let my sister back in my life it would go right back to being awful :( My sister would shove her way into any friendships I had and would shamelessly flirt with my boyfriends... It was terrible. I still suspect that she messed around with my son's father (we're no longer together). She denies it of course, but she got with 2 different exes of mine. It was just awful and really pathetic. She was just so jealous of anything in my life. Which I never understood because I tried to include her in things and nothing was ever enough. I'm happy that you stood up for yourself and got rid of all that negativity. No one deserves that, especially from a family member.
My ex husband got my son's put in a foster home. He now is living in my house and is trying to take over. He hacks my phone's beats me and refuses to leave. I don't want him in my life at all. He has me out numbered. Has many of his friends helping him destroy my life.

Nothing positive about jealousy
Have a sister who puts me down all the time. I stopped talking to her as I'd had enough of her. Because I lived in a mobile home she saw me as a failure, but I wasn't. Worked as a nurse for 50 yrs. Bought my own vehicles. Very independent person. Was a officer in civil air patrol. We flew search and rescue missions for the air force. I was able to do so much on my own and without a lot of money. I also flew my own airplane. Drove long distances to camp. My sister and brother have never said anything positive about me and I've done more than the two of them together. Both are married, and my sister well off financially.
I am in the same situation. Now things have got so toxic. Am constantly being put down. Though they have more than I have, don't know why they put me down. I have reached a point, where I keep my distance. Do my own thing..it's more peaceful that way. I wish them well but they have cut me off for no apparent reason. They are frustrated and do not like others being happy. I do my bit, see how they are. I am an older sister. Now I am at peace. I have less but I am happy.

It turns out I’ve been surrounded by envious people! I had to rid everyone from my past due to this very reason. I stuck around them because I truly thought I was the problem. Otherwise why would he say that or why would she act this way towards me? Instead of being able to see that they were acting out of their own self loathing, I now see that it was difficult for them to be happy for anyone else.
Envy and jealousy are completely different. I just explained that in my comment I made on here 30 seconds ago. Being envious of someone is basically admiring what they have without any negative emotions. Jealousy is the negative form of envy. I can't believe a professional video site used those two words in junction with each other.

Whenever I feel slightly jealous of someone, I ways tell myself that isn't healthy and that I should be happy for them. Things will happen for me in their own time. Jealousy is bad quality in a person and will only bring more negative energy your way. So be positive. 🙂

I’m just happy with what I’ve got, I’ve never envied or been jealous of anyone.
We should all count our blessing and be happy with what we have. Jealousy is a waste of energy because there will always be someone better than you in some way, shape or form.
This video just described both my mother & father. Had to separate myself from them in totality. And ever since, I’ve been thriving. It’s very hard to explain to women I date, but necessary for my own livelihood. My high spiritual growth has helped, and strengthened this lonely walk. Don’t judge those that are being used to break you. Accept your walk with GOD. And focus on your path. Is my message.

I see lots of this. Weird to me, in some aspects though. I just bought a new car. I see lots and lots of people driving around in nicer cars than I just bought. I’ve been driving a car that’s about 15 years old. But, as soon as I bought it, my boss’s attitude changed. They actually wanted me to drive to work, in the old car, despite the fact that I knew it might get me to work, but not start. It wasn’t completely unusual for this person though. I already knew that, since they couldn’t be with the one they love, that if I ever fell in love, I better not tell them, unless I’d like to find myself unemployed.
Also, anyone who’s dealt with narcissism has seen this. My very beautiful, talented and bright mother turned on me, along with my sister. So, I’ve had to go no contact, with my family.
Once you start seeing inklings of the “green eyed monster”, that is really your clue to start making plans to, at minimum, work to ensure that this person has minimal impact in your life and, at most, prepare for the relationship to end, by either you or that person. You may think you need them. But, you’ll eventually come to find, especially if you stay keen, that their major purpose in life is to derail any possibilities of growth and achievement. This can leave you anywhere from unemployed, to ill, to dead. That, you do not need.

@@vg7985 I don’t feel more accomplished. My boss is above me. My mother has always been a triple threat. My sister, no.
These people appear to have different reasons. My mother? She’s elderly now. My sister? She’d always been compared to me and may have formerly been the family scapegoat. I am now. Our mother switched our roles, which is not uncommon for narcissistic parents to do. My boss has family-related issues and wants me to fall in-line with my own, which I will not do.
I’m a pretty average person. I’m not extraordinarily beautiful, smart or talented. But, it feels like people can harbor issues and, the moment they either feel lesser or something good happens for you, it becomes clear there’s a problem.
It isn’t my imagination either. My mother told me 3 years ago, that she’d always just used me and was going to allow my sister to inherit a home, when I was the one who was always present over the years, being her confidante, editing her artwork and building the family business websites. Distant family and neighbors knew my sister was never around.
Where my boss is concerned, it was pretty obvious that it didn’t make sense for me to drive to work in my old car, after my new car arrived. That was pretty bizarre.
Also, I guess I don’t really feel that buying a car falls into the category of “accomplishment”. It’s not like I got a PhD, fell in love, or got married.

I compare with and compete with myself. What others are doing, is for them. I’m also not religious. Plus, I’m an INTJ. I’m an introvert. I rather spend my time alone, accomplishing that which I both feel is important and enjoyable, for me, than to continue to be caught in the continuum of doing for others, for the free taking and intended lack of reciprocity.
I think that, for some, the POV is that it is a loving, cooperative and supportive world, which awaits them. But, I’ve even had to let go of my own mother, for the furious, malignant, covert narcissism that was brewing within her. Most people do not want anyone else to win, in any fashion. They simply don’t and that is the reality.

It was a close friend who became very successful in one sphere of their life and seemingly became big headed and arrogant over night.
Actually, their personality changing was what I resented more than their achievement. If they had continued to be the kind considerate person they had been prior I would havd been pleased for them.
They did a lot of the things on the list to me but they weren't envious , not of me or anyone else. Their ego was so huge their head much have been straining with the extra weight, so I'm not sure if these attributes are just did jealous people but people who are fairly vicious in general and have possibly targeted someone they don't like.
I’ve been jealous of people before but I would never want to see someone fail or try to bring someone down. It wouldn’t make me feel better about myself. I think it’s how you deal with jealousy that really matters.

I say jealousy does occur amongst the closest of friends, parents and siblings and co-workers. It is possible to combat this feeling of insecurity by attempting to build this person self esteem up… maybe. I have seen it work once with a co-worker. It was magical.

Could it not be jealousy at times? What if one person puts more effort into something, but the person who does less effort takes credit or gets rewarded? To me that isn't jealousy. Its called cheating and taking credit for something another person did. Have this ever happened to you? Because I can tell you that it happened to me and I got the response, "Oh your just jealous." No, not at all. Eventually they discovered that I did most of the work, but it hurt to be wrongly accused that I was jealous of someone. People are so quick to judge.

They will even speak it back to me as if they are teaching me something, when I am the one who taught them what they are saying LOL Whooooooooooooo I laugh about it; but truly, it has happened so much, so many times over the years that now I just stay away from people for the most part. I apologize if his sounds conceited but I’m being honest. I know what it’s like to have people be jealous and envious and because of this, I’ve learned to become more private and to myself. I don’t share certain details anymore. I had friends ask my credit score (since I’m buying a house) and I thought it was weird. No one has the right to know this info unless you’re my realtor/broker, payroll person or paying my bills. I think the more people know about you, they believe they know you more than yourself and start controlling you and this is their way of feeling superior because they are envious of your blessings.

When I was a child, I was taught there are topics you don't question of people or openly divulge to others. These topics even in good company always lead to some kind of judgement and/or mistreatment...Sex, Money, Politics, and Religion. Just think of all the controversy that destroys our peace with each other in society today. Every topic and every person is virtually free for all public scrutiny now. Our best defense is to remain a reserved mystery in these areas or your life.
My brother became extremely successful in the last five years and every single person in our family said it was impossible or a pipe dream. I told him to do it and then laugh in their face when he gets it. He just bought his 5th house and they don’t have a single negative thing to say. Now it’s “we always knew you could do it”!

I know right? I do not have the jealousy gene either, because no one's life is perfect. There is always good and bad in everyone's life and anyone that makes it look like a party then they are lying anyways. Some people can't help being jealous. I had a friend who had this problem, it turns out her childhood was very difficult. Her physical aspect was a problem too. You want to be patient and understanding but it is difficult to stay friends with someone who is always jealous and passive aggressive. They can't help it, perhaps, but you don't have to put up with them either, sad but true.

I had a boss jealous of me - it started as a statement "if you were married, with children - you would not be able to afford your gear" I would have given him my gear to have a family as he did. Anyway, the work environment was getting bad to worse - to the point I found another job and resigned. The boss climbed the ladder of success all the way to CEO - then he got caught embezzling and was fired. That did me no good - and I felt for all the folks he fired for petty reasons - he often bragged about the folks he fired - one was fired because they needed to repair the wipers on their car.
So sad the world is full of these kinds of jerks and hardworking innocent folk has to deal with such.

I was the youngest at my job, got on with everybody but this one manager always had it out for me and would try to isolate me for no reason

I had one that wanted me to do things a certain way that took up more time and a more complicated process - and everyone else on staff was allowed to do things the simple way.
Even then I finished ahead of schedule - while others struggled to meet deadlines.
Another job where we developed training materials and manuals - the Jerkaholic - always assigned the 300+ page manuals to me. Everyone else got the small jobs.
The folks at the very top were complaining that I was walking all over the building all the time - I had to deliver the proofs to the various departments and I was assigned killer projects often staying at work late into the night.
So the top executive brought in an internal affairs spy to check me out. Turned out the Jerkaholic had two pets - one spent all day processing payments via email for her husband's company on her own laptop - because she did not know how to build a website with a financial gate. The other pet (we'll call him Danny) was playing Internet video games all day on the company computer. (He got fired).
So as a prank - I told the Jerkaholic - "Did you hear about Danny? - yeah - he got an executive position at "Game Stop." "Yeah, he's making six figures now."
The Jerkaholic turned red with anger - declaring "damn it."
I've had a co-worker in the past that was this video in a nutshell. My only recourse was to simply ignore them and don't give them any ammunition to use against you. Some people are toxic by nature and need someone to hate to make them feel better.

Exactly I'm in the same situation as you dear. My elder sister is so envious of me, because im younger than her and I have achieved 4 qualifications and she dropped out & gave up whilst on her 2nd qualification. I'm a small business woman & she been sitting home unemployed for years.... I'm the sister who gets told alot I'm beautiful/the slay queen & unfortunately she doesn't get told that.
I remember in grade 12 when I got 3 distinctions & she was only able to achieve 1 distinction & she was jealous about it & she subtly downgraded my achievement & said something like "why does it seems like the matric exams are becoming very easy. Ours were so difficult?!". Thats when the envy subtly started & was starting to show.
Been years I've cut ties with her & was the best decision ever!! She was so toxic & tried to project her envy towards me. To parents she makes herself look innocent and nice like she doesn't have a problem & make as if I'm the problem, but when they aren't around to experience and see her toxicity towards me behind closed doors that's when she shows her real evil side 🙄🙄

My parents told me to not get jealous because it is a horrible emotion. Later on in life it has ingrained in my mind so I developed a mantra which is “Jealousy is a disease get well soon”.
They left off gaslighting, and vengeful behavior, along with guilt tripping, and manipulation. I grew up in toxic environment. Made the mistake of marrying someone who is toxic, and so are several members of his "family". He abandoned me 6yrs ago which left me homeless for 5yrs and fighting the system to get a place which I succeeded in. None of them know where I live, or if I'm still alive.

Damn that’s sad you just described my mother to the T I remember when she heard I was graduating with straight A’s she tried to stop me from attending my own graduation and made me get there late. Then she said my accomplishments were nothing because medical assistant jobs are for Mexicans ps she has something against Mexicans for whatever reasons. She has tried to stop me from going to school too but it didn’t work I made sure to always have a babysitter and never depended on her.

There is racism in all races and also seen alot of mothers jealous of there own daughters, partners (boyfriend, girlfriend or spouses), even mother in laws, friends and etc...they are jealous of you strength, shine, potential or anything else that you may possess greater than them...I was to innocent and naive to ever see it...I thought everyone thought like me...like be happy for others, encouraging, helpful, meaning well.... but it's not like that...I see those people and I feel sorry for them because I think they must of had an awful childhood or alot of wicked people around them who tought them or made them be like that...and I just wished they were loved unconditionally and had a better childhood or better environment to grow and be good kinded people....but I don't have control over that...all I can do I pray that they may find a way to get over everything and become better people.

The solution is in setting boundaries. You can't control them--hiwever, for myself, I will not make excuses for them! My highest purpose is to send out good vibes. At the same time, good vibes takes teamwork, so that if I'm positive while the other person gives a backlash of bad vibes in return, then I'll hang with those who are positive while releasing the negative person to the universe!

I have been dealing with people like this all my life. I always wondered why my grandmother said... 'that they don't care about you, they are jealous of you and they are using you. Only if that message sunk in at a early age. I could have evoided alot of these people. I could have been so much further in life. they literally do nothing but hold you back. My family fell apart when I was a teenager so I had to learn the organic way.
There are always folks jealous of you, even your own family - I know from experience, my mom’s jealous of everything I do- my relationship, friendships, job, basically everything. She even threatened me to the point where I had to part ways for my health and well-being.
