Nice info but I found a easier and faster workaroud for bouncing mono or stereo track with hardware insert! put the PIPELINE XT on the EVENT FX.. duplicate the layer so you can go back to the unprocessed original file. than CTRL-B. bounce it!! studio one is gonna bounce it in real time. create the new file. no need for confusing duplicating tracks, etc.. :)
nice, but what about BUS channels??? I processed my bus channel (drums) with my external gear and then I can't freeze it, I had to export to a new track and then drag it again into the project and mute the individual tracks of the drums. this is so boring. why the fuck studio one doesn't has the option to render/freeze BUS channels. anyone can help me on this?
Thank you! I saw a Presonus studio channel strip going for $150. I was confused on how I’d go about recording with it or mixing with it since it’s a mono unit. Your video was the only one that covered how to print the tracks.
Hey Mike, in Studio One, I believe when you want to print, it will do it automatically when you right click on the track >Event>Mixdown Selection, it will mute the original for you, then you can disable and hide it.
Perfect video for whenever I decide what my first analog gear will be (still debating between a compressor or a preamp combined with a compressor). Thanks 🙂
Thanks, MIke! You've taught an old dog a few new tricks - I've been using pipeline ever since it became available, but I was completely unaware of the notes and/or photo section. Brilliant! Keep 'em coming and I'll keep watching (and learning).
your approach and explanations are much appreciated. You may have used the WA76 in the video because you had it in your rack and it worked for demoing Pipeline XT, or you may love it and actually be using it. Be interested to know which it was, and if it was 'love', what are you gettin from the analog box you couldn't dial in from the suite of 'on-board' processing S1 ships with (let alone the myriad other plug-ins out there). Possible answer ...you know the WA76, you've got favourite settings on it, you patch it in ...and the magic happens. Maybe other reasons? Your grasp of 'all-you-have-in-the-room-there-with-you' makes your choice of what to use, and why ...of interest. Cheers
I can't find single video on how to use Stereo Reverb and Stereo Delay (Strymon Pedals) as FX Send in Studio One, using Pipeline Stereo. Maybe with "Aux Channel" and not FX Channel? I know all about using compressor,eq etc as "insert" on the track like you are showing here, but what about using Stereo Pedals instead of Plug ins for,Delay,Reverb,Chorus without printing back to daw. I understand, when is all done real time processing is required, but I always "print" finished song back to DAW thru hardware. Any help on this subject. Maybe video,or am I just dreaming and it's not possible? Love your channel and Subscribed. Thank you. Just to add I have 16 ins and 16 outs on my interface.
Just to make 100% sure I would like to have Delay (El Capistan) , Reverb (Flint) and Deco "sitting" in Studio One,ready to receive any signal,at any time, just like with regular PLug in workflow with sends.
I love how you are explaining Studio One ! Hope to hear your take on the Mix Fx Engine and all the console emulations soon. I love them but there isnt many videos about it. I bet you would have a lot of people inerested. Cheers !
I tried writing Warm Audio but can’t find a way to contact them with ideas. My idea is they should give a digital image of their hardware gear to where you can adjust the setting and then save that image and file it with each session. Huh??? Pics suck because you have to send them to your pc and then get download them to save them and then add them to your session. Way too much time for me. Maybe there’s an easier way?
Excellent I might have missed something here. Can't you just record and print from mono to mono instead of stereo to stereo and not have to do the bounce to mono?🤔
I have an error happen when I use pipeline while having my Studio 192 with an external word clock. Pipeline works great for mixing but live tracking I always use the Big Ben. With a word clock I get a bad feedback for some reason.
Hello from Santa Clara, CA (Bay Area ) so, I noticed how you move the tone generator in the fader section but, did you know you can also move the plug ins right above the plug-in where the names are at, just below the color bar, by click and dragging across as well from left to right, I mean since the plug-in box is open that makes it easier. Also question? if you're using Pipeline can the patch bay still be used?
Hi Mike, another great tutorial. If I was using a hardware stereo compressor on my output bus, can I just export mixdown in real time to capture the compressed mix?
its bizarre that you have first to set your record track to stereo and then choose vocals. I´m doing exactly the same with your video, and i see my track on mono on dropdown. i dont need to switch to stereo so maybe they fixed the bug ;) try it out mike maybe they updated it
I had a bunch of plugins already in my session, and when I hit the auto button in pipeline I still get latency/hearing the delay..I guess it’s best to do this before adding other plugins before..what’s your take on this mr mike? Great video as always

I'm just about to integrate the first hardware devices into my setup and this video was simply amazing. Thank you very much!!!
Awesome George, good luck! I find it kinda fun/cool :)

Thanks for watching man, always appreciated.

What a ridiculously well made video. Great stuff :)
Right click on track and click transform to rendered audio and it will make you do it in real time.
I'm gonna finally try this . I want to take it to the next level
many thanks. just answered so many questions especially on "printing"

15:00 Hey Mike, when printing, couldn't you just export stems, then import the wav file you just generated? Same thing, fewer clicks.
Yes, this would work also :)
what about render audio?
@@Jorge_ElMusico isn't that pretty much the same thing, just on the master bus?

I mean you just put them on all of your bud tracks and or your stereo bus.
great video. can't thank you enough for such concise no fuss, well explained info on this.

Приветствую.Я думаю что можно создать цепь без использования железного оборудования, просто использовать эмуляцию😊
Thanks for the sharing, excellent video

Could you not just record the fx in input? On a new track? Input 3
Hi Chris. You can do this, but there is no latency compensation, so you need to manually align the tracks afterwards.
Ya good point. Love your channel You have helped me a great deal over my first two years mixing so far. Thank you very much.
🙂👍
They have this awesome feature but I still can’t simply link plugins together in 2023
Actually there’s a plugin for that
@@Gang-25j KSHMR? I haven’t tried it yet but I hear it’s garbage
