"Neurontube:debut" a Soldano/SLO 100 VST amp sim from audiosingularity...since I am Cubase-User I am pretty fine with the stock-plugins. Ohh...and the LA-2A from UA, which I was lucky enough to get my hands on during limited time free-offer 😉(might have seen this on your channel...can't remember 🤔)

Master Chris, I love your channel and had helped me a lot already for so many years. I am a self learned musician since 1984 and the last 3 or 4 years I deeply started to learn music production and successfully produce my music Moved from FL studio to Cubase Pro was a perfect choice, and sometimes I use both :) Is easy to get lost in the sea of plugins but thanks to you we can find and use the best!
@@mixdownonlineI use Frequency 2 so much now in Cubase, definitely become my go to EQ. If I had one complaint, it would be that it needs a fully resizable GUI, so you could get a much clearer realtime frequency analysis - like Pro-Q3. Otherwise I love the sound and functionality.
Answer to my prayers. Was looking for a free but good dynamic eq plugin. Thank you. As for my favorite free plugin, so far Vox Samples' Fat Cat i s crazy useful. I find myself using it on everything
Orban Loudness meter is super helpful to check everything when the master is finished. It's a standalone software. I use it all the time. Fresh Air can also be helpful for adding some sparkle.
bonjour Chris, je découvre ta chaîne... super vidéo, j'utilise Nova EQ depuis un petit moment, très bon outil. je vais voir pour les autres Ozone eq et imager en particulier. Enfin, merci pour ton articulation impeccable...
Chris, thank you for the lesson and the links to the freebies. That said, everything was superceded by how amazing this song is! We're you involved in production at all?
Good video, Chris. That Youlean Loudness Meter looks like the LCAST from Meter Plugs. The last one is absolutely not cheap. Even the Youlean pro version is several times cheaper.
@RaulGun-l7e I completely disagree. I generally use a tape saturation like a studer, but for free, saturation knob is great. Not a lot, mind you... but a little goes a long way.
I 've been hearing very notable audio engineers saying that clipping turns down signals that are above the threshold and I don't know why they are saying that. Clipper cuts off or deletes what's above threshold as far as I know. What do you say? I mentioned this to the Sonic Scoop guy and he doubled down. Doesn't really matter but I was surprised that this is misunderstood.
You're correct, like I quickly mentioned in the video, a Clipper shaves the peaks or transients of a sound which can result in a square waveform that will add harmonic distortion. I'll make a video on this, cause I know it can be confusing.
What are your favorite FREE Plugins you like to work with? Let me know 🙂

Great vid, Chris! I do use some of those free plug-ins.
I would definitely love to see a clipping vs limiting 🙏
Thank you!
Noted! Thanks for watching!
Very Nice !
The Nova EQ does have left /right / mid / side modes. click button on the top bar where it says 'stereo'.
You're correct, my bad! I'll add a note. Thanks for letting me know!
I enjoy and dig your videos, man. Excellent work. Thanks! 😊

Thanks very much.
Just discovered your channel, and I am enjoying it and learning from you.
A great mix like this example makes all these plugins sound better.
Thanks :-) A good mix always helps to a good master!
Crazy !! J'te l'accorde ils sont tous bien !!! I'm going to download them all I swear 😂
Frequency 2 is fantastic. LOVE it 🤩
It really is!

Ah cheers this is really useful info! Thanks for the video 😁
Thank you! I'm glad I could help!
Maxbax from Analog Obsession is a great mastering EQ!
Like all the other fantastic Plugins they developed, it's totally free.

SPAN (of course !)
SLATE Fresh Air
SLATE VMR Revival
TBPro Audi ISOL8
Klanghelm VUMT
Love your list, thanks!

Melda probably makes the best free EQ, Nova is great too, but I never vibed with the algo for the dynamic, but at least it has dynamic.
ZL Equalizer is a neat free alt to Pro-Q3.
Never heard of tha one, thanks a lot for sharing, I will look it up!
@@mixdownonline I, for one, would enjoy seeing you do a video giving your opinion on it.
@@drewinman7171 I'll add it to my next FREE Plugin video, thanks again!

oh yeah, the masterdesk Classic.
put that hit on everything
Love it!
Yes please...do a video on limiting Vs clipping 👍

Thank you Man!😊
Of course!
Ozone 11 free has transient/sustain mode? I need to grab it asap. Have Ozone 9 advanced and haven’t seen a need to upgrade
Saturation knob!
It's a good one!
Free softube one
Don't use saturation on your master chain.

Voxengo.
Yes
Frequency 2 is not free.
Included in Cubase, and for everything Cubase plug-ins in this video, there's an alternative that I share, so you're all good 😉
