I learned more from you in this one video than I got from a week of watching anyone else. You are my new Go-To instructor. Thanks for what you do for us SO users.

Another sweet video! A friend of mine who uses reaper, has been banging his head against the wall, trying to compose drum tracks for his songs. We were just talking about this stuff yesterday. Today you posted this video and hit on everything he was frustrated with. You started out using impact but switched to addictive drums, which we both have. He got pretty excited after watching this video! Anyway, hope you get feeling better, and thanks for another great S1 video!!

One of the best Studio One tutorials out there: clear, concise and to the point. A question: how do you fade out a drum pattern?

I hadn't thought of using exchange for drum mapping. What a great tip. Thanks!

You have absolutely no idea how helpful this has been! I'm terrible at taking in information from manuals etc, and using patterns has been the one thing stopping me from getting started in recording in Studio one.
So, thank you SO much, I really do appreciate it! You've made my day/week/month.....

Hope you make a speedy recovery Mike. Excellent video which proves that patterns are way more flexible and useful for many music styles other than dance music etc

It happens that I actually use Studio One and Addictive Drums 2. This is the most useful video on music production that I've found tailored just for what I needed haha, how lucky am I. Thank you very much for this video!! Helps like A LOT. Really, learned lots of useful things that I'll keep forever under my sleeve. Much appreciated!!!!!

Awesome video with a very thorough explanation of how the pattern functionality works. They really should not limit the patterns to multiples of 8.

I like the process of creating patterns on the sequencer, but prefer a separate track for each drum sample because it's easier for me to edit and arrange. Is there a way to export each drum sample to a separate track directly from the sequencer? I haven't found one.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Mike. I noticed the usual "sparkle" was missing from your voice, now I know why. Didn't you just suffer recently from laryngitis too? What are they putting in the water down there? 🤣Seriously though, get well soon, my friend!

Great tutorial Mike, just what I needed!
So I am rubbish at drums so this video is going to come in very handy, for my ambient tracks
How do i create custom drum maps?Only I got a great bunch of Kontakt based drum libraries I would like to use
At the minute I'm having to figure out where the drum sounds are in relation to the piano roll, so I can trigger them in the pattern editor
    Thank you

I am considering buying S1 v6, but before I do so I need to know this: Do Patterns also follow the Chord Track or does the Chord following only work with normal Midi Parts?

Is there a way to convert a part to a pattern WITHOUT quantizing it? I have quantize off but it seems like when you do this it automatically corrects/quantizes the MIDI which I don't want...is this possible? Thanks

Can I automate ImpactXT Volumen without creating a VCA?
It does not work without it: Automate moves sliders but ImpactFX instruments always sound at full.
    Am I doing something wrong?
    ⁉⁉❓

Wish the pattern can be 8 bars long or 128 steps. 4 bars is too small for arranging

I just don't use it for that reason, you have to keep creating variations, it's very annoying

It reminds me of Cakewalk somehow; maybe all DAWs are somewhat similar.
