I really hope razer comes out with a 99-120$ wired version.

Every Other reviewer has problems with connectivity and sound. 200 battery is with lights off, not a selling point. That price tag is high.

Yeah the price especially for me I live in Canada is $240 is too much and also bottom row not all keys are standard size, I use the DREVO Calibur V2 Pro wireless has more keys with having all nav buttons and only $79CAD
Always remember, Razer is the Apple of keyboards. The price will always be high end :P

Very good review. I'm getting drawn so much to this keyboard. Checks most of the boxes for me and seeing you this excited, means that is good. Can you post a video of possible mods/improvements for this keyboard? Like how to lube this particular one adding more foam to it, everything that makes this keyboard closer to a custom, because there is not a single video about this and this keyboard is amazing

Low key I was jammin out when you were doing the sound test - also just as a heads up I use the huntsman TE and it also has the features on board to use different colors for RGB. I still use synapse because I want to customize it, but if I wanted a static color they have a lot of options on board with the same hot keys.
Only problem with the Blackwidows is that there are a lot of complaints about repeating keys or sticky keys. This has happened to me, and I got a replacement, the Razer Huntsman Mini. To my surprise, the N key switch was broken. I hope this is a coincidence and I am awaiting Razer’s response. Other than that, I love Razer keyboards, it’s just there’s no guarantee that it will work. I hope this helped, Ursox.
Just an FYI for those that might buy: You can't save lighting effects to the board, custom effects only work with the software running. Huge loss given the RGB on this is very good. Ditto goes for some other settings, including enabling the keyboard to go to sleep. Very surprising given how basic these features are. In addition, this board is a PITA to pick up. Thanks to the large chin it's very hard to pickup with one hand. You have to use two (and even then it's a pain unless you have the feet up).
Kinda, what you wanna do is install Synapse application, configure your peripherals however you please, save it, then uninstall Synapse. I use Razer KB&M for many years I have a complex hypershift configuration using mouse hotkey and keyboard hotkey + rgb profiles, if you setup the stuff and save the config then uninstall the software the hardware keeps it stored.
Example I have the keyboard reviewed above & Orochi V2, I hold MB5 to step into Hypershift and MB1 becomes a keystroke G, Scroll click becomes a keyboard combo ALT+Q, Keyboard hypershifts to enable Function row along QWERTY row, etc. I give long example to demonstrate complexity of configuration stored on devices without Synapse installed and somehow the two devices continue to work seamlessly together Apple-ecosystem-style. Big big fan of Razer products just wish they had integrity regarding their crap software.
PS- I experimented making firewall for Razer software, removed registry dependencies for bloatware-side of application keeping Synapse offline on local machine, I also create dummy net-point for Synapse to send packets, I Accessed and audited all files Razer installs on system (which btw they do not prompt user where to install files such as nonessential E drive or etc. they install files to x86 prog. files as deep as possible without user input prompt or suggestion which is immediately showing not to be trust or non-consumer friendly because if you were harmless you wouldn't care where to be installed) and of course audit reveals Google tracking services malware install along with Razer application files if you create System Admin take control registry script you can dig in and find these as well, they do not obscure the names because they do not expect user to have ability to surrender admin control of files. The whole thing is creepy, untrustworthy, slimy, etc. Is Razer good product? Yeah, Good customer-PR relationship? Yeah fun to interact with on Social Media, but because they approached by analytics and ads companies for extra money to smuggle malware in with program all that customer faith is tossed out with distrust.

Wow good to see Razer making all kinds of moves here but that's quite an asking price. Gonna wait for a Black Friday sale on this. Not to mention, there is the Keychron K6 as well for much cheaper at 99$, wireless and hotswappable, makes it hard to justify paying the full 180$ asking price even though the multipoint pairing is dope.
Basically, everything I wanted the Corsair 65mini to be. For $1-30-40 I think I would have no problem with getting this right now, but for $180 and having me need to switch from Corsair to Razer I don't think I can justify it.
I still really want to see a 19KL board. So basically the 65% with the function row. I have too much stuff bound to the function keys for me to be able to use a keyboard without the dedicated keys and a macro pad really isn't ergonomic for some binds.
Daaamn, I wished they made the browns ("green switch") silent too.

Bought one after seeing this video the first time.
Just for context, here's what I have on my desk
* 2 PCs - 1 laptop for work; 1 Alienware R7 for personal use
* 2 External Monitors (Alienware 25 and 27 inches); HDMIs connected to laptop, DPs to the Alienware (love having 2 monitors)
* 2 Mouse - G502 Lightspeed and Razer Viper
* 1 Desk - Jarvis Fully 60-inch Standing desk
I used to connect my Razer Huntsman Mini to my PC and a Microsoft Surface Keyboard to my laptop. Having a wireless keyboard that can connect to my laptop and my Alienware is 1 less accessory on my desk. I currently use G915 TKL and I am loving it (except for its keycaps).
I bought the Razer 65% BlackWidow Mini because of the following:
* Small(er) form factor than my G915 TKL
* Better keycaps
After using this keyboard for 4 days, I noticed the following:
* Excellent Yellow Switch! I am loving it!!! (Thanks Techne!)
* 65% is perfect the size for me -- for work and for gaming
* No noticeable difference between the Huntsman Mini (wired) and the Hyperspeed on this keyboard)
However, my wrist are somehow aching because of its height. Maybe it is because i came from the very low profile G915 TKL and my hands has not adjusted to it yet. Giving it a few more days..
Aside from that, this keyboard is Stinkin' Awesome!

uhhhh I'm not the biggest fan of this size, but damn razer is doing some good keyboards with the layout that most peopel actually want, we love to see it.
I honestly don't think this keyboard is worth it for the price, but I like watching raze trying new layouts...

Right now I have the Blackwidow v3 tkl green switch. I'm very happy with it and the 65% seems very good. But for me I think the deal breaker is the abs keycaps vs. the pbt.
Me, as a apple user, can only watch razer products and dream about them.

You can hold fn and then press a number and it works as a function key although it’s much slower and less productive

gmmk pro is great, streak 65 is awesome but needs pbt caps, I really really like this board
I just got mine, on an insane sale (Phantom Edition). I love the thing. I have a ton of Razer products and hesitated because I have a Huntsman Elite with the optical switches; but honestly, I prefer the feel of this one. I definitely loved the optical, but idk it doesn't have as tactile a keystroke.
It's a good keyboard, but I think I'll stick with my huntsman mini. Great review.

$180 for a wireless board ($60 more than a Huntsman Mini) AND no PBT keycaps? It really makes no sense to me. I also really think that Razer needs to start using plate mount stabs and hot swap for this price to be justified. Those stabs also don't sound the best. You can build a KBD67 Lite for less money, and that is a full on custom board. This is a good board imo, but the fact that it is $180 is really pushing it. I think that it needs some more technical features for that price to be REALLY worth it. Like just think about how much better plate mount and hot swap support would be. Awesome video Techne!

You know that you can change the colors on the Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition like this one right? You don't need the software on the computer. You can cycle through different effects and colors, you just can't make a special color.
Finally a solid razer keyboard that finally grabbed my attention *looks at price tag* "igh imma head out" way overpriced
i have the blackwidow elite and i just use spectrum cycling which is default so i dont have to hate it, but either way i dont stare at my keyboard so it doesnt matter and plus it looks good. But ye it does annoy me sometimes when i want wave and i use it on laptop(aka mac)

i just got the varmilo 108m (mx browns) and love the quality and sound of the switches.. but the metal pinging is really distracting.. does anyone have any tips? I've never desoldered anything so for now I was just thinking of o-rings so I don't bottom out? I'm already using a desk mat

Even at 180 dollars, I'd buy it over the Huntsman Mini in a heartbeat. The rattle on the stabilizers became unbearable for me. Optical switches and PBT keycaps aren't a selling point either. With opticals, they felt like every other mechanical switch and the difference in actuation time is unnoticeable. PBT keycaps, you can find them on the market for around 20-30. Razer most definitely improved with the Blackwidow 65%, although I do agree that the pricing could be cheaper, at around 150-160 dollars.

What else could we ask for? How about reducing the thickness of the keyboard by half so I don't have to bend my wrists or use a wrist rest. I don't need a keyboard to be 3x thicker than my laptop.
