  • After launching some of the best gaming keyboards like the Huntsman and mice like the Viper, Razer is now launching a wireless 65% gaming keyboard. The Blackwidow V3 Mini Hyperspeed looks great but after using it for a while, I'm not sure this gaming keyboard is priced competitively for what's being offered.

      Honestly, I think that making a video about " Leopold " Keyboards would be a good idea.
      It is, imo, the best brand for prebuilt keyboard, in terms of quality and price.
      Those are not keyboards for evryone, most of them dont include LEDS. Still, the keycaps are the best ever included on a prebuilt keyboard (double shot, PBT).
      People looking for quality and affordable keyboards should not miss this brand that deserve more recognition.
      PS: I know he already talked about it in a video, but doing a video just for the brand would be a good idea.

    I am using the BlackWidow v3, and it is really fantastic. Especially love the switches as well as the sturdy build & design. What´s annoying is the finish of the metal, like Dimitri mentioned, it gets gross very fast and needs to be cleaned all the time. Additionally pricing is just 30% to high. But still love it, multi device over 2.4 Ghz and BT is also a huge plus for me. Thanks for the video!

    You can't say "I'm disappointed they don't have this feature at this price point but glad because if they did it would've been even more expensive." The reason you're disappointed it's not there at that price point is because that price typically covers the cost of that feature. What is making this keyboard worth MSRP given that it doesn't have this feature? If you can't answer that, call them out for it. In another review I heard they wanted to offer multiple languages and that would've ramped up the cost of ABS but they also said they're working on ABS keycaps to sell for their own products and that seems like a much more likely reason they didn't include them here. That said, doubleshot is pretty good and standard for their keycaps generally so they have that defense.

    • @shawshankredemption7793
      @shawshankredemption7793 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      See the thing is, Razer continously sells stuff at a really high price point, cos its "Razer" cos they are 'gamers' . The fact that you endorse this expensive keyboard shows how blind you are.
      Razer IMO always use cheap materials and third tier CMs to make their products.
      What you are essentially buying is the name/brand Razer and the triple headed snake logo.

      It's not a matter of which part of the world you live in, I think. Razer has been putting out some good stuff, but on some of their products they still are ... well ... very ambitioned. The BlackWidow line (v3 Pro and this one especially) is a good example, it is way overpriced and honestly a little schizophrenic in terms of its design. Sure, you can argue that ABS keycaps are cheaper and enable you to do this and that all day long, but at this price there should just be PBT. Period. Asus is doing similar stuff with its Claymore II, arguably even worse.

    I really want a dual wireless keyboard: bluetooth to connect to my MacBook Pro and wireless dongle to connect to my gaming PC. Arrow keys are crucial for the mac. Currently my setup is the MacBook Pro, gaming PC and Nintendo Switch, all connected to a 32" 4K Monitor, and i just switch the input to the device i'm currently using. Ideally brown switches and has to be in white to match my mouse/desk. Currently I'm using a keyboard that can switch to 5 different bluetooth settings however my gaming PC, either the bluetooth is not always connecting or the input lag is way to great (I wonder if it's because my case is aluminum and causing interference (Dan A4 case). I remember Hardware Canucks did a early look at a CoolerMaster keyboard that has this dual wireless connection (and really hope it will have a white version....maybe the same white as the CoolerMaster NR200 case).

      i had the first razer naga and razer lycosa keyboard in my best hardcore gaming years and they were amazing devices specifically the first razer naga with the two small extra keys left from the L button and R button. In the following years I bought the razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2013 and razer Naga 2014 and the party starts: the keyboard at the first week the f1 key it had issue with lighting I returned. Now for the razer naga it had connectivity issues with synapse and ofc synapse start the first problems as software. after my experience and the experiences of others with the razer gear I never bought razer again and the only razer I still have is Goliathus mouse pad it was a gift... I used razer peripherals and corsair (icue it sucked).For mainstreet companies i recommend logitech (for evrything but the price :/ ) hyperx (mics headsets keyboards) steelseries (headsets keyboards mice) Corsair (keyboards meh stabilizers but oook, headsets ok and mouses ok but synapse sucked ) Roccat ( vulcan keyboards

      I'd do that if only my Razer Tartarus Pro actually had onboard memory to save profiles. Unfortunately, you HAVE to log into synapse to access any profiles you make for it. Sad, considering how amazing the tartarus pro actually is and it is one of the only razer products I'd actually recommend to someone I liked

    Hasn't any company tried to come up with a device that can make any keyboard wireless? I mean theoretically all it would require would be a connection to the keyboard's USB port with a powerbank as an energy source and a basic bluetooth/wireless receiver.

    At this price point you can build something like a GK64X with blue tooth. At that point you can pick everything from the switches and the keycaps and still come under and if you want a full 65% around the same price is the Drop Alt and again you can change the switches and caps after the fact. The only downside to the alt is it's not wireless.

    As someone who just got a Drevo Calibur V2 Pro for 50(!!) bucks, I find it hard to justify spending more than 3 times as much for something that is essentially the same thing. Never had a Drevo before but I'm honestly impressed with what you get for that price. I've used Cherry MX Browns for years but I honestly wouldn't be able to tell a difference to the Outemu Browns in my Calibur. If you can spend $180 you might as well go custom.

      Same price but difference approach. Gmmk pro build to last, also if switch damage you can replace it. Custom keyboard for yourself. But this one is wireless + bluetooth. It lightweight and small for small package that you can travel with. Bt help you connect to multi devices, it have built in battery, and way better software than glorious. All after all, i’m consider between them but i’m falling for wireless and bt. I don’t want to plug in plug out everytime i’m going. And not to worry about cable and dongle. On other hand, i also like gmmk build quality.

    • @Evan-bx5wb
      @Evan-bx5wb 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NamelessPassenger For that, you really have to think more about its quality and customizability (assuming that you want to lube the switches and mod them). And no, they are not the same price, GMMK Pro isn't $179 USD (you only get the case for that price, switches and keycaps are separate purchase).
      Remember that GMMK Pro has knobs, it's 75% and probably the biggest of all, gasket mount. You can't compare that to a keyboard like this one, literally an entierly different class of keyboards. GMMK Pro is "budget enthusiast".
