Razer Blackwidow V3 Mini Hyperspeed Review - Where Less Means More

- Razer is probably the most well-known gaming brand out there, and with good reason. Recently they launched their latest wireless mechanical keyboard, the Blackwidow V3 Mini Hyperspeed. A brand new layout for them, the 65%, and arguably the next most popular layout in the near future.
You get arrows keys, mechanical switches, dual wireless connectivity options and a whole lot more in a rather compact board that does not sacrifice any bit of core functionality.
Honestly, a good board, not gonna lie.
But the price though... Razer... why?

Great presentation, information, and camera work. I've seen around 10 reviews, and yours is def top tier. I knew about this keyboard, but the price always sent me away. I was able to get this thing at $60 USD second hand a couple of days ago. Let's hope is not too much of a downgrade from my custom 60%. I'm just tired of the layout, but not ready to go back to anything above 75%. At this price, it seemed like a great option. =]
Really helpful, and a great video!
The only think I miss about this video was that u didn't try the green switches I wanted to hear what those sounded like too but otherwise really good video!
We will take note of that!
I got this last week (green switches) and like it a lot but its taking a lot to get used to, I have been using a steelseries merc stealth for literally just under 10 years as I have always liked the idea of a larger board with a dedicated "gaming zone" meant to keep main keys in range at all times. But I have to admit it is super handy to take with me and use instead of shitty work keyboards/laptops or with my Steam Deck on the go.
I do agree on the price, these cost $200 regular in Canada which I would never have paid, though I was able to get mine for $70 off so it seems fine, though that was only after seeing the wired corsair I wanted going for nearly half this price was sold out and realizing not much else was on sale cheap enough to justify wired over wireless/BT. And on the topic of wireless and BT I actually like it since I can just pop in the dongle on the go with new devices, such as at work, which is faster than pairing and means I can keep my 3 main devices paired at all times.
Anyways this was a helpful video, gave me a couple of things to keep in mind both with the product and mechanical keyboards in general as this is the first one I have used in at least 20 years I think.
Nice review just got this keyboard :) but where can I find the software for it?
Just download Razer Synapse and you’re good to go.
Underrated amazing editing
Thanks for the compliments, appreciate it!
Just wonders do you know why the "C" Key is brightened while pressing the "Fn" Key? I did not see any binding function with the "Fn+C". Thanks.
The ABS keycaps, Will they get that horrible shine on them overtime? Also is there any way to improve the stabilizers? $180 is a lot for this board especially when you can get a GMMK Pro for $170.
ABS will shine faster than PBT no doubt, but it also differs from person to person and how generally oily your fingertips might naturally be. This may last a little longer thanks to the matte and rough texture but eventually it will still shine with use.
As for the stabs, it might be possible to lube it using a syringe.
Yes, the price is tough to swallow. Though you can’t really compare to the GMMK Pro, the two are very different boards. But yes, price is still way too high.
Well, I had second thoughts after I ordered one. However, I have had it for a couple of days and I love it now. I even ordered a razer mouse to go with it.
So which is best razer linear keyboard? Mainly for typing.
i just got this for $99 at Walmart and I like it a lot for dayz
hey i got the yellow switches and in mine am getting a issue of taking double input on one press , got any solutions for that?
which keyboard do you suggest for typing?
i got this keyboard for 120 at Best Buy thanks to Black Friday discounts just because i want a wireless keyboard and my arrows keys :3
is it just me or the windows logo light not appear perfectly? like i can see the switch or some
I have the basilisk X hyperspeed too!
I only ordered it one day before the launch of the Orochi but it's ok. Bluming price difference.
Can someone drop the links of all the 65% keyboards he mentioned in this video wireless and non wireless.
Should i get this or the huntsman mini?
If you don't mind wire and the 60% layout, go for the Huntsman Mini. If you want wireless and you would like your dedicated arrow keys, go for the Blackwidow V3 Mini.
Should i get this or the blackwidow v3 pro?
If you need the numpad, go Pro. If you don’t, Mini.
Pls review the keychron c2 with gat reds
Perhaps in the future...?
@@Terafied I would definitely watch it. Seems extremely tempting as a full size non-gaming oriented mech keyboard.
At what price would you recommend this?
239 SGD would be an ideal price.
@@Terafied keychron k6 rgb hot swap red $150 sgd tho
I've bought it for 100 euros in black friday discount do you think is worth it?
Of cuz, sounds good!
Why razer website cost more than challenger and online other shops
i just bought this because i was force too lol , i was looking at others but i could not find any videos on latency while gaming wireless on other boards , i finally found a video of a 65% wireless board video and buddy said there was no latency while gaming usineing the dongle , literally the only video i could find talking about gaming on the wirless lol ! i was gonna go with anne pro 2 but again , no one mentioned or showed wirless gaming and no one talked about latency over the wirless connection ... sooo i blame youtube for my purchase of my razer wireless keyboard , you tubers need to do more and stop being lazy !
I just got this for $238 SGD and I still thought this was too expensive for it's features
Kinda agree as well…
I got it for 89.99 USD on Amazon because the green switches version was 50% off. IT IS DEFINITELY A STEAL
wow :)
I mean its hot form factory from 2019, just that razer is two years late somehow

Got mine for 105 pounds from Amazon
Buy today at green for 90$
