A really important aspect of the color gray is that it can very easily lean toward a certain color (e.g., greenish gray vs. purpley gray, "warm and cool"), and a true neutral is rare (often expensive). This is important to consider if you want to match grays within your wardrobe, and it also explains why some grays look bad with your skin or with certain garments.
For us with olive complexions (especially if you are wearing your hair natural gray!) Camel +Gray+red lip+sunglasses= Chic!
When I let my hair color go natural (some grey, some a surprising dark neutral after coloring it warm for years) I would have thought wearing grey would be a no no. But I get so many compliments when I wear grey and it’s how I found out I was a Soft Summer after wearing Autumn colors for years.
My favorite is heathered grey with a dreamy soft pink. Grey is a perfect neutral for me.

Thank you Cindy...I dont wear grey because I am a warm blonde with light warm skin. I love coral..my best pink so I am going to try a grey blazer over a coral blouse before buying...usually I wear it with navy to brighten navy.
My favourite colour to wear with grey is mustard, it think they look so classy together. I also love grey with bright red, burgundy and deep forrest green.
How about prints and patterns after you do all the colors?

I love all shades of grey, especially anthrazit. I love to combine grey with lemon-green - it looks great and fresh. Another combination is grey with silver-shining materials, as silver silk for example. It really shines and looks very elegant in the evening. Lots of love from Germany, Yvonne 🙋 ❤️

Grey is such a beautiful and sophisticated color. Now that I have let my hair go to it's natural grey color, I now wear grey quite a bit. Wearing all grey from head to toe works really well for me. I have to wear a facemask at work every day, and so I have even purchased grey face masks to go with my predominately grey outfits. Hey, you gotta, do what you gotta do! Thanks Audrey for all your great content. I'm especially loving the Classic Color Combinations series! Your outfit ideas and color ideas have inspired me to put together existing items in my closet that I never would have thought to combine.

Grey is my go to - I love it, and now that I have white hair, it is even more perfect. I have to make sure it's a light and bright grey, or a charcoal. Muted pinks and lavenders look wonderful, but my favorite is maroon (or fig as I like to call it!),and of course, black and white. Wish I was able to find more shoes and bags in shades of grey!

Grey is like a quieter, calmer version of black or white. They're all neutrals but it's like grey says - hey, lets all just meet in the middle and chillax. There's so much contrast between black or white and many of the colors you might pair those with, while grey is muted without being boring. It's the perfect balance of extremes when you need that. Great video as usual and I am ready to run to my closet to start mixing up pieces!
There is something very soothing about grey. I also like the way you split the screen in this video and showed us examples of the colors while you were explaining on how to pair them. Very nicely done.
Wow! You gave me so many ideas AND I don’t need to buy anything! I love green and will definitely put it with grey. Keep doing these. I get so many ideas on how to stretch my wardrobe.
Since it's so neutral, grey is also a great option for me if I want to play with textures. Smoother and stiffer fabrics tend to appear very formal to me while light and fluffy fabrics seem more playful and ethereal, especially when paired with pastels.
I receive many compliments when I pair gray with plum and purple colors.

I have always loved gray with pink, and my very favorite scarf is gray and yellow. My standard work uniform is gray trousers paired with a solid color blouse or sweater. It’s nearly foolproof and so polished. Thank you for the very informative video-- now I better understand why I like gray so much!❤️😊
I feel both my coziest and calmest when I'm wearing combinations of black and gray, and gray head-to-toe feels so good. A light gray knit top, ideally in a dreamy material like silk or wool, paired with trousers or jeans in a darker gray is a magical outfit. Then add a pop of color via a scarf. Perfection.

Grey is my „number one“ neutral. Since im blond and warm toned the right warm grey or a dark grey works better for me than any navy. Black is too strong for light skin and I don‘t wear it any longer. So your proposals are beautiful and I like them all. Thank you so much. 🙂👍

My fav color this winter is heather grey! Light, bright, elegant, and versatile!
Grey is my favourite neutral. It truly works with every colour. My favourite combinations are grey with burgundy and grey with purple. Grey on grey always makes me feel polished and classy without feeling overdressed. It's a very cozy colour too. Grey knits and grey jeans always feel right.
For a festive outfit, grey works so well with silver! Anything sparkly with silver combined with grey literally looks like a cloud with a silver lining. ☺️ ☁️

Grey is my least favorite color to see or wear (it often washes me out), but you've helped me see it in a new light! I do own a couple of grey pieces that I often overlook, but these color combinations have been really inspiring. I will have to try some of them and also look for my most flattering greys. French Grey is also a very beautiful grey, slightly warm, I do love a cooler grey though, paired with lavender😍😍😍it is chic and elegant 🥰
I love gray too. It was natural that you like gray with stone since you often shoot in front of a gray and stone colored building. It's a wonderful backdrop and the color combo is perfect. I agree that it pairs well with every other color and that's why I have so much of it in my wardrobe. Some of my favorite pairings are gray with blue and gray with pink.

In the past year gray has appealed to me and bought gray shirt, pants, jeans, pea coat and jeans! Thank you for posting this! Makes all my pieces have more options in my mind! One of the reasons I bought gray pieces to add to my wardrobe is to create a monochrome outfit with gray ankle boots I love so much! I never go with trends! If cold shoulder tops are "out" I still wear them because I feel good and confident in them. ONE OF MY FAVORITE GRAY COBOS IS MAROON AND GRAY! IT IS LIKE THEY WERE MEANT FOR EACH OTHER! My favorite gray is a blue gray sometimes called slate gray. I also love charcoal gray. I usually wear gray with pink or bottle green .💕
Loved these combinations! Gray and soft pastels like baby blue/shell pink/pale yellow are so calming.
And gray fabric also looks very beautiful when it's mixed with different fibers for that mélange effect that lends more texture to an outfit. It's also a perfect base for metallic accessories like jewellery and pairs impeccably with silk and leather.

I don't wear a lot of grey but my living room demonstrates a combination that you spoke of. I have a grey couch and opposite it are two navy, velvet chairs. The accessories are blue and white porcelain pieces, with other items sprinkled in. I love the combination and it gives me a chance to showcase my porcelain collection. Love that you showed Beth Djalali as an example of grey and white. I have followed her channel for years and she has great style.

I love grey. However, now that I've gone grey, the wrong shade of grey washes me out. So, I've narrowed my grey sweaters (3) and blouses (2) to keep what worked. I'm going to miss the lightest tinted grey tops, but that's the price for no longer dying my hair. I have a long grey coat I'll never part with because it matches everything. I also have 2 pairs of grey knee high boots (leather and suede) I love to wear all winter. Needless to say, I really liked this video. My late 1950s long swing coat was ltwt. gray wool flannel with pale yellow satin lining. I was 12 or so and it was bought for an Easter, but I was able to wear it into h.s. years. Now, I look for greige. It matches my hair and just about any other colors I choose, and forces me to wear color.

I’ve always loved gray, but I’m kind of self conscious wearing on top bc of sweat stains and such (something that happened when I was young). But I really want to try and I’m looking for a nice gray sweater for this winter season.

I have very fair skin/grey hair. I've found lighter greys wash me out and darker greys have the contrast I need. I think that's also something important to consider... which shade of grey goes with your coloring.
I was just given a triangle cozy scarf in an easy-going grays and burgundy plaid. That I'm actually excited to style it is all on AUDREY.
Charcoal is my grey also medium grey. I found the light greys I thought would work for me, don't. My favourite combination with charcoal is a mustard yellow paired with a scarf I have that has both colours and some black. My hair is now a hazelnut with my silver showing through and silver-white streaks near my eyes.. I like it. Another favourite combination is a grey jacket I have with a burgundy turtleneck. I have a burnt orange sweater which I will try to combine thanks to your inspiration!

I'm a very dark summer tipe with grey eyes, taupe hair and mid depth olive skin, basically 0 contrast level, and grey, especially lighter grey with a pinkish or lime tint, is my absolute favorite!
