When I was growing up, many decades ago, a summer staple was wearing red, white and blue. I still love that color combo.

Can not agree more! In my opinion summer should be about colors, flowers, sun, and fun. This black/white//beige trend has been going on for way too long. It is classic. Yes. But when young pretty girls wear these colors all over all the time it gets boring to see. It is just my opinion.
Yup, we need more color tips! She does have the color series, but that focuses on just one color at a time. So a video that considers the entire rainbow and then picks out best combos from it (and pairing colors WITH colors, not neutrals! Its easy to pair color with neutrals). That would be nice for summer.

I have a question I hope you'll answer. I let my hair grey due to pandemic & salon closing. Now I'm wearing bright tops because they look better with my silver hair. I'm wearing hot pink, royal blue, purple & teal tops/blouses. I'm wearing black, blue, white & grey trousers. I love how the bright tops look with my hair & skin. But I'm worried I look like a unicorn, so I pair them with black blazer, trousers & skirts mostly. This summer I'm wearing them over white pants & skirts. Audrey - you must be an urban person, as country people do not tend to wear black, but tend to wear colours that you find in nature. I am also from UK so our best fabrics are made from wool - think tweeds. Can you think of a black tweed?
🤭 Definitely a bit of a Country Mouse 🐁, but living in a slightly more City setting. 😎 Overall, the greater LA area definitely evokes more of an urban street chic vibe too. ❤️ Do love the charming & more traditional "English Estate" tweed aesthetic, but that wouldn't work here unless you were heavily involved in one of our more elevated equestrian circles〰️where you're likely on some show 🐎 circuit. 🤠 Most of our local pockets of rural equestrian life lean more toward 👖 wranglers & cowboy boots👢 vs traditional jodhpurs & dressage riding boots. Overall, the latter looks would seem rather affected or costume like in my more humble circles🤣. The only tweed blazer I own is predominantly ⚫️black & white⚪️ with tiny threads of 💙turquoise & yellow💛 too. I keep it aside with my lined black wool skirt & trousers. Can only stand to wear them about a week or so in Winter or maybe early Spring here or when 🧳 traveling. Decided these 3 pieces, along with my black Burberry trench coat, are worth the sacrifice of closet space. Doesn't matter that the cost per wear is not really there. @@teresacarle294 There is a huge differnce in clothes worn in UK and USA, probaby the weather has something to do with it? Another difference is many people in the country wear 'old' clothes - as the fabrics used age well and can be mended. (Think elbow patches). it's not a posh thing - it is more a lifestyle thing. Like you said many people in the States who work with horses wear denim. I would imagine that is because denim suits their lifestyle. Enjoy the magasines you read - currently in the UK we are enjoying Californian weather!

@@teresacarle294 Alot of my life I have lived (school or work) in Malaysia, Central Africa, Australia, Cyprus, Majorca so used to wet and dry extreme heat. Never had Air conditioning though - and really dislike AC. The mechanisms i use to stay cool are to close windows in daytime and draw curtains and open everything up at night, wear natural fabrics in loose designs - and a hat! Drink lots of water, and never go out in the sun, always keep to the shadey bits when outside. One house i lived in had walls about 3 feet thick and tiny windows with wooden shutters - and it never got hot. i do feel sorry for people in glass houses in hot countries. I have checked out the couple you talked about- they are a nice couple.
May I make a suggestion? Some of the videos in this series do say in the thumbnail “how to wear pink” for instance. But a lot of others only say “classic color combinations”. I know that you can always edit the thumbnail; so is there any chance that you could update the ones that talk about a single color to reflect that on the thumbnail? Also, for a video like this one, maybe include “summer” in the thumbnail as well. So we know what’s in the video when on mobile, without needing to click in and out of videos (which I’m sure also hurts your stats) to extend the title. The reason I ask is, because the titles are too long and get cut off on the phone, thus I don’t know which video I need to click on for the color or season I’m looking for. When the thumbnail advertises the color/season within, it’s so much easier. Especially because you haven’t done dedicated videos for all colors yet, so sometimes I am here clicking in and out of videos and the color isn’t even out yet. It would be so helpful! Much like labeling and nomenclature works in a library, for ease of use 🙏🏼

Pale gray with white, and only gold jewelry. I no longer like black and white tops and bottoms mixed. They cut in half. I am however loving a pale tan/beige with white and navy bottoms. Also the beige with white and navy. No silver jewelry with all these combos. Too cold and boring. All black, all white, with gold accents, bring life.
