According to art historian Dr. James Fox, the color blue is rarer in nature (e.g., so many fewer blue flowers, or the rare lapis lazuli stone), but it is humanity's favorite color! He conjectures that it is our desire to reach/touch the ethereal blue of the sea and sky.

My real name is Lazuli. I used to hate my name so much because it is not a common name where I live. But I started to love it more and more as I grow older☺

When I was only 13, my grandmother bought me a three piece outfit that you never see on children of that age: a loden green pleated skirt, a mock turtleneck in the same shade of green and a v-neck vest of robin's egg blue, trimmed in loden green. I remember feeling so sophisticated in that outfit.

Can you do one for lilac/light violet? I feel like its becoming very popular and everyone is wearing it but I would want to look more classy and elegant and not so "trendy" 🥰

I would also say that light blue compliments well with grey and silver. And this rule applies to older people who already have grey hair and have blue eyes... I think it looks so beautiful!!
Yes! My grandmother was a Greek woman with piercing light blue eyes and jet black hair in her youth which turned icy silver. Such a beautiful color combination.

Light blue and dark green reminds me of peaceful walks through an evergreen forest. So beautiful! With a brown shoe?? 😍 light blue, old gold/champagne, white were my wedding colors. Had an outside wedding by the river in the summer and it was gorgeous! These colors were also my college colors

@@nykka3 unc- chapel hill! The tarheels! The colors are light blue and white. Tan, gold, champagne are common accents in campus buildings. The theater has a beautifully ornate blue white and gold ceiling and that is where I got my inspiration for my wedding colors

Once I ditched my perceived need to stick to Deep Autumn colors, I saw that light blue, even tones verging on periwinkle, was a color I really enjoyed having in my closet. It was versatile and always seemed fresh.

I loved this. About 5 years ago I decided to only buy clothes that could be described as being the colour of the sea. It's amazing how versatile that can be and it's now so liberating having a wardrobe where everything can be worn with everything
I would love to see violet in a future video! I think this color could pair well with light blue because they are both on the cool side.

This was really eyeopening. I love to wear light or midtoned blue with light grey plus navy (instead of black) belt, boots and bag. I always feel very calm and secure in that colour combination which makes so much sense to me now.

I love light blue with various shades of denim. The light blue button up is such a classic, along with tan or brown accents such as loafers, a leather purse and camel jacket.

Blue is my favorite color, all shades in special denim. Anything royal blu or color as purple with an under tone of blu like. Barbie pink I love
My colour palette is the same for every season: white, baby blue, navy, light grey, creme, beuge and turquise. Although I look really light and I lok a little bit strange in winter when I wear total white outfit or total baby blue but I stand out of the crowd in a good way, I think. People notice it but its not unpleasant. Cause everybody in my social group wears dark colours in winter, my looks are so refreshing

A couple of years ago, I shopped online for a secondhand trench coat and found a great one that happened to be light blue. It's great for the wintry days of February and early March because it's a refreshing change from dark winter wear and breathes new life into everything. My powder blue gossamer scarf is often paired with a black top and I've loved that combo - so glad you brought it up!
This made me smile. While watching, I happened to be knitting a hat with a light blue yarn. I chose that color as I thought it would go well with my black coat and my dark green wool coat, as well. It's nice to have your confirming opinion!

I love blue, probably own a little too much of it! Since currently pregnant with my third child I’ve realized just how sadly limited maternity wear is. I don’t enjoy black and wear grey in a limited way, preferring tans and blues as my neutrals but it’s virtually impossible to feel truly dressed my best when pregnant 😞looking forward to my usual floral dresses already!

I'm always in love with your 'Colour guide' videos, I've learned so much from them. I love having colours in my wardrobe but before I only knew to match them with black or white, most of the time I would just wear all black because that's what everyone around me does. I'm much more comfortable with wearing colours now, still a lot of hit or miss, but I'm glad I've stepped out of my comfort zone and really embraced my love for colours

I have a pair of light blue jeans with orange stitching and I always thought it looks gorgeous.
My lifelong favorite color which I am finally embracing. I'm incorporating it into my home as well. My favorite is with green. Here in the NW we have beautiful summer days with dark green tall fir tree and blue sky.
I often pair light blue with yellow / light yellow. I feel it creates a combination of sunshine and youth vibe, but also classic and elegant.
light blue is a spring/summer stable in my wardrobe for years, I don't like to wear it in the colder month. It reminds me of the blue sky and makes me happy. light blue with white/cream/beige is a combo I love and wear for years but since last year I like to mix it with a soft mint green or a strong (not pastel) pink, too. Something fresh and new to me.

I love light blue with olive and with gold. Many jeans are stitches with amber thread so that's a natural combo for me.

I love the combinations of light blue and pale yellow, purple and light blue,pink and light blue. When I wear these color combinations {especially in the winter}, I feel it brightens my day. It is never a dull day in the winter when I wear these color combinations.
