    This scanner deserves a special series teaching us how to properly use it with Fusion360 to design stuff from stuff. :)

    You are AWESOME! Finally, someone who does what this thing can do. I do aero add one for cars and usually I model in clay and they model off of several orthographic photos.
    You literally have saved me at least 3 weeks of work! Thank you!
    Question for you about the TRONXY printers. I need to print these spoilers and right now I have to weld them together. The TRONXY printers are big enough but every TH-camr bashes them.
    You are actually using them, how do you feel. Would you buy again? I can't afford a BigRep or Moddix.
    Thanks again, great work! Subbed!

    Thanks for the cool and honest video! May you also create a video and speak about accuracy? Meaning, scan something several times and measure some features (distances, diameter, GD&T, etc.). I can also support you here if you send me the scans.

      I sure can , I can do an accuracy test. But let me note, I have used this to scan a vehicle and create a bumper that I 3d printed and it fit perfect.

    Would you mind sharing your laptop specs? It seems like it's running really smooth with ur laptop setup. Can't tell how long it takes when you process the data as you were fast forwarding.

    • @TimelessMotors
      @TimelessMotors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Processing times are sped up. I am using an antique alienware. I7 8750 I think. I definitely need a new laptop. Things saving me are dedicated graphics and 32gb of ram. My pc runs it much better ryzen5800x3d and 64gb of ram. Still kind of slow.

    • @arva1kes
      @arva1kes ปีที่แล้ว

      Also bear in mind it is required by scanner to have Nvidia graphics. So no matter how fast i12 you have..if you don't have discrete graphics it's a nono. Quadro graphics is fine too.

    Its a real shame your audio way popping and topping out.
    You need to adjust your microphone levels before filming every time.
    Alternatively you can run a high and low filter pass on the audio in post production.
    Im keen to pick one of these scanners up.
    Killer that you had a sidewinder 3d printer in the background.
    Ive owned my X1 for 3 years now... Money well spent.

    After you scan it, can you export as a .step file or .iges to open in a software like Solidworks / Autodesk Inventor. it is exported as a mesh? can you convert it as a solid? Thanks!

    • @TimelessMotors
      @TimelessMotors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Exports as mesh. You can then do your reverse engineering in another program of your choice.

    Hello! Did you find that it is losing small details and objects after meshing up? How do you handle this?

    • @TimelessMotors
      @TimelessMotors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the resolution you scan at and what mode you are running!

  • @leonelgarcia7327
    @leonelgarcia7327 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Ho, thanks for share, ¿which computer do you have?

  • @DigitalLee
    @DigitalLee 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    1mm resolution? really? Is it because when you use 0.2mm the software cant build mesh?

    • @Todestelzer
      @Todestelzer 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The mesh resolution depends on what you are trying to scan. 0.2mm on a car body scan isn’t adding more useful data than 0.5-1mm resolution. It only blows the mesh size up and increases time in post processing.

    Just placed an order for the scanner on amazon. I know I'm gonna have the hardest time with my ancient laptop Dell XPS 9530: 32GB RAM; GeForce GT 750M (2GB VRAM). I am ofcourse planning to buy an up to date computer to go with the scanner but do you thik I might be able to get away with a small machineroom interior (like a minivan size) scan for a project I am working on right now if I drop the resolution all the way down to 3.0 mm? It would be pleanty accurate for this job if my laptop could pull it off and I could afford a proper PC or a laptop after this tu up my game to the level I want it to be. Thanks for a grate review dude!

    It is best for reverse engineering?

  • @Edgar-so9of
    @Edgar-so9of ปีที่แล้ว

    What if you used UV light and a white powder while scanning.

    • @TimelessMotors
      @TimelessMotors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      White powder always helps! Uv light wouldn't be necessary at this level!

    • @Edgar-so9of
      @Edgar-so9of ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Timeless Motors when I use my UV flash light in my dark room, all white/ florescent items pop out while darker/non florescent things are barely visible. I was just curious if it makes scanning easier for complex things maybe an engine. I'm definitely buying this in a few months.

    Amazing informercial. But, it's BS. The product is bad - when compared to what the influencers post on youtube - and the return policy is a complete fraud. They say 14 days money back - then it takes 13 to deliver and the refund is only for products you don't touch or don't work. So, yes, complete misrepresentation, does not fit the purpose and it is over hyped by paid influencer marketers. Don't buy this crap! Much harder to use and with much worse results that what is being advertised.

    • @TimelessMotors
      @TimelessMotors  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Honestly your comment sucks. I wasn't paid to make this video. But I have made thousands off scan work for people with this exact scanner. It's a fantastic product. Maybe you just suck at using it.

    • @dragosm2686

      Yeah. I totally suck at using something that does not work as advertised. Keep it up and make millions from scanning and promoting amazing products.@@TimelessMotors

      I own the Einstar. It’s a pretty good scanner for medium to large objects. The Creality Otter could outperform the Einstar but the Einstar software is still better.
      With the newest software you can track features, marker and texture at the same time too. Really good tracking.
