Me and my wife just each bough a 250 se factory, coming from years of KTM, I was fed up with WP suspension and the TPI seal the deal for us to switch to another brand. Sherco has been on my radar for years!! cant wait to try them.
Smartcarb or Lectron will fix the issue of reaching the fuel petcock (they don't leak when bike is on it's side) and make it run wayyy better. I love mine, I upgraded from years of riding ktm 300s and this Sherco is my new favorite. Haven't ridden new TBI bikes yet but suspension on the Sherco will still be better.
I have no complaints on how the bike runs, so just for the petcock thing ... I am probably not going to get the Lectron. That being said, I’m glad you love yours too!
2023 Sherco 300 here, bought it after having a long debate between it and the Beta, settled on the Sherco just because of the out of the box package was better, same price here too for both. Having now ridden both bikes, i absolutely love the sherco, for hard enduro i am yet to ride a bike that is as easy to ride. Even with bald tyres in soft mud it still feels like cheating. Hoping they keep the Carby set up for a couple more years, as would like to upgrade in 2027 or 28. Fingers crossed.
How has the Sherco been treating you so far? Regarding rider skill... I had Will Riordan lap me in one of the US hard enduros this year. I was blocking his line up a waterfall, trying to push up this huge slick boulder. He put his bike down, picked mine up, and (with zero run up) rode it up the gnarliest boulder. The sum of his experience with my bike before hitting that boulder was about 12 inches of run up.
The Price varies from Location yo location. Here where im from they are by Far the most expensive on the Market. I also know a few owners, they all say the same thing. Out of the box its the best. But over time there are issues and the maintainance cost and spares availability for most people is a problem. They will get there over time
Thats really no different than tuning the tpi. Stock vs stock they are very similar. Tuned vs Tuned they both make 54 to 56 depending on setup. Just get what you like 👍 and have fun
@@aries300x jetting carb is not tunning. If someone feels that tpi has more power than carb bike then carb bike was not jetted right for conditions. If you want to get tpi where carb bike is you need to tune it a lot!
@@madMX96 Actually any adjustments made to correct fuel/air ratio is by definition tuning. I know that many of us have for years changed jets and needle positions in the carb and just gone by sound feel and color of spark plug to determine correct fuel ratio. That is work and tuning! It takes time and also if done correctly a (dyno and a sniffer to read the actual ppm to get it precise) both bikes need that step to be exact. The tpi can with some options out there have fuel and ignition maps modified just by use a mobile app. So back to equal ground. The carb bike will take more dyno time and cost due to manually changing the jets . Vs tpi only takes a few seconds to move through the app. Extra cost in dyno time does pretty much balance out those costs . I own both a 17 carb bike and a 22 erzbergrodeo. Both are freaking awesome. I also love the sherco se300 and may gey one just to have it. As for suspension thats a moot point. I don't know a single person in our group that doesn't revalve and re spring their setup. My 17 was done locally and my 22 has the ohlins suspension ( didn't need it ! It was just a bike I wanted to build for 15 years. And now had that option) Anyway get what makes you happy! Any yet my tpi is modified. G.e.t. ecu motoes pipe R.K tech head . Injector relocation. And on the dyno puts 56 running vp racing ms98l . Did it need anything stock ? Map 1 no was great. Map 2 yes is was a little lean.
hey, thanks for the run through of your opinion on the bike - what is the stock front sprocket size.? i'm waiting for Sherco SE Factory 300 2t to be delivered and want to buy some parts before it arrives..thanks.
Yes, 2021 and up have a counter balancer. They’re not quite as smooth as a TPI, but they’re smooth enough to the point where I don’t notice the vibrations while riding.
Apparently Rieju manufactures the previous gen Gas Gas models.. which is a weird concept to me. I'm sure they are good bikes.. but I'm not sold on that platform
Mate good review. I changed to Sherco in 2022 and haven't looked back. I fricken love my bike, it is everything I want in a hard endure machine!
It’s pretty good

I hope you’ll like them!
100% accurate. Came from ktm to Husky and bow sherco. Sherco wins.
Being from Canada, I had never heard of that brand. Looks pretty. I'd love a French made bike!
They only really do enduro/hard enduro/trials bikes, that’s probably why.
@@KRANKiT they do streetbikes too

It’s really good
Got a 2023 250 SE Factory. Best thing that's ever happened.
Really? I switched to this motorcycle from 2016 300 KTM. Can I seriously say I'm glad I passed?
I hope it will be a good choice among new motorcycles.
Fingers crossed, my next ride.. great vid btw
Excellent Review , I am buying that exact same bike this year

Well, I bought another one earlier this year. I think that says plenty, overall love the bike!
@@KRANKiT Great to hear! Would be interesting to hear your long term thoughts.
Nice video mate, do you have the 2cm lower seat installed on the bike in that video already?
Yes, I think I did. Afterwards I added the lowering link as well.

i bought this same bike 2 weeks ago. Here in Canada it is the same price maybe a little more than a KTM brand.
Weird, I guess it depends a lot on the region. Here it’s quite a bit cheaper than a ktm.
