I've seen nearly all the reviews from all the channels of the 911. Sometimes in other languages, but I don't care what they say, the car speaks for itself.
@angkatanpw No, that's Dunsfold, this is Bruntingthorpe. The reason they look similar is because the TG track is one of the many airfields that was used by the RAF (the TG one was used by the RCAF) during World War II. This track is another of those airfields, that's why it looks similar.
It's the amount of Induction noise allowed into the cabin isn't it? the sound symposer connects to the induction intake hose just before the throttle plate..
- how does this exhaust thing work .. wen u press it the button does more noise from the exhaust come in or sme electronic application? ... just a small doubt
Complete agreement and great report. Despite all the new models. For me, the 991.1 is the best 911 of all time. I've now bought one (Carrera S WLS) and will drive, look after and love it for all eternity 😂🥰
Owen mildenhall is one of these journalists who is fast and calculated whilst driving and delivering his idea since he has the skill and personality to illustrate his point simultaneously by phenomenal driving skills and with great knowledge of vehicle dynamics whilst managing to be emotionally brief and very transparent. Actually i don,t know a better car journalist. yes ofcourse Tiff Needell, Chris Harris, Jethro Bovington, Jason Cammisa and some others are the big names when it comes to the amount of unfiltered information the public can receive but when you want to know as much as possible about the package as fast as possible, then Mildenhall is the man to go to
i only wish the paddle shifters where mounted on the steering columna nd not on the steering wheel. otherwise its just perfect. cant wait for the turbo, gt3 and gt2 versions :D
Quality film with clear, unequivocal views. Really good to watch, And that sound.. My choice would be this..a C2S. In white please [the local Gendarmes would spot and.. remember.. a yellow on such as this.] with all the bits. WF
and the thing is they have the ability to engineer a v6 to smash gallardo v10, but when they made a v10 porsche, (carrera gt) it was the fastest production car at the time
991 911 carrera S, loaded with all the luxury and sport options. white on red interior, manual trans. only mod is a 35% tint. that my friends is a perfect fucking car right there.
This is true but I think you might be over looking 1 fact. He was comparing it to the 997. Having driven both 997 and 991 I can vouch that there is only the steering feel that is ever so slightly less communicative if at all. It is better in every other aspect. Personally my only grip with the 991 is it now encroaches onto the more luxury type sports car where it used to be a "pure" sports car.
Pure perfection! even this color!! I would love this car! I would have this as my everyday every where car!(Unless I needed to carry a bit more lol) But the only problem is I live in the North East part of America and RWD cars are not suitable for our weather at all. and personally I couldn't drive one in bad weather. Either id need this awd lol or move to cali.
@afthefragile i'd say its better than top gear. if jeremy reviewed this car, he would complain about everything in it. that's why i don't like top gear much anymore
this guy has a hard on for 911's... great review, great car, but he had no criticisms at all. forgive me if i am wrong but a review is supposed to weigh the good and bad against each other and come to a verdict. yes he mentioned the lack of feel in the electrochromatic (if that's the proper term) steering, but he still sounded very biased.
yet there arent exactly that many colors that would fit one nicely. the only good color that would like nice is white though only in the carrera and s model but the yellow does look nice.... or cheesy
That is a great grey sweater you are wearing and i love what you have done with your hair. You need to change the camera position to focus on a driving perspective and less on the driver. We don't need to see him to hear him.
Hate that noise :/ Dunno why, but it sounds like someone's dropping iron fillings into a 60's washing machine... give me the Maserati 4.7l V8 any day of the week.
@Mejevoli Nobody denies that Porsche is one of the best, and very often the best. Only those who know nothing about cars, but their opinion is irrelevant.
Porsche has really outdone themselves... and as far as the EPS feel, that's simply a software configureable problem. Porsche and the company they bought their EPS through have chosen for it to feel that way to appease MOST drivers.
11 years and still spectecular !
I've seen nearly all the reviews from all the channels of the 911. Sometimes in other languages, but I don't care what they say, the car speaks for itself.
For the first time ever, I officially like a Porsche 911.. What a car!
Awesome video, and awesome car too!
@conr3x no you can steer with one hand and use the other one to shidt. and you will always know where the pedals are because they wont move :)
This video should win an award. So polished. The content, the videography, the editing. And can't forget the freakin' car itself. Well done.
the everyday exotic, that DOESNT break down like a ferrari or lambo..
great review...wish I had one
@angkatanpw

@Vukmon Porsche charge extra for the paddles if you spec the PDK gearbox.
Best AE video in recent memory. More like this! Well done!
@DuudeWhatDoesMineSay Probably moves around some parts in the muffler and you get a louder noise.
It's the amount of Induction noise allowed into the cabin isn't it? the sound symposer connects to the induction intake hose just before the throttle plate..
@Vukmon There are 2 different versions for the steering wheel.
@BGBranko it is 911, 991 model. The previous was 997. Just to make it harder for everyone :P
- how does this exhaust thing work .. wen u press it the button does more noise from the exhaust come in or sme electronic application? ... just a small doubt
Really nice review and really good editing too. Its almost Top Gear level!!!
Complete agreement and great report. Despite all the new models. For me, the 991.1 is the best 911 of all time. I've now bought one (Carrera S WLS) and will drive, look after and love it for all eternity 😂🥰
Even as quick as it is,it's can still pootle aound cities like acity car. Absolute. Masterpiece.

@cardude1992 but how about when you need to shift while you steer..would be impractical :)
@killkaveh reason I left the brand.. electric mirrors (over £200 lol) you get those on a Micra these days.
Guys can anyone tell me how he got those shift pedals BEHIND steering wheel? Because I saw another test with 991 with shift buttons ON steering wheel.
I wonder how that exhaust button works
You guys were at Bruntingthorpe and no top speed run?
Quality film with clear, unequivocal views. Really good to watch, And that sound..
My choice would be this..a C2S. In white please [the local Gendarmes would spot and.. remember.. a yellow on such as this.] with all the bits.

@Fatalegg2 Yellow is the Porsche colour!
Great car! Great review!
and the thing is they have the ability to engineer a v6 to smash gallardo v10, but when they made a v10 porsche, (carrera gt) it was the fastest production car at the time
Great review thumbs up!
Is PDK Porsche's own name for dual clutch?
@cardude1992 I agree, my Z has fixed paddles as well as the GT-R, I prefer it, but it's down to personal taste I suppose.
is that the top gear test track???
@Subtr3y right hand drive? n00b
I can't wait to see the GTS and Turbo versions of this new 911.
the new 911 with aero kit as option looks great thumbs up please
991 911 carrera S, loaded with all the luxury and sport options. white on red interior, manual trans. only mod is a 35% tint. that my friends is a perfect fucking car right there.

@MagicAyrtonforever which gtr the 09, 11 or 12?
and he was correct, this is a 911 - generation 991. previous one was 997.
first time watching a autoexpress video ... looks promising. Good reviewer.
At first i didn't like the new 911, than i saw it in real life... ITS WONDERFULL!
Pure perfection! even this color!! I would love this car! I would have this as my everyday every where car!(Unless I needed to carry a bit more lol) But the only problem is I live in the North East part of America and RWD cars are not suitable for our weather at all. and personally I couldn't drive one in bad weather. A very nice review. :)
@bloximonkey
Ya, Porsche DoppelKupplungsgetriebe - Porsche Dual Clutch Gearbox
@Subtr3y - how on the wrong side?
I prefer the 997.2 version. It just seems more like a true 911. Can't go wrong with the 991 if you want more luxury and an updated interior.
@afthefragile i'd say its better than top gear. if jeremy reviewed this car, he would complain about everything in it. that's why i don't like top gear much anymore
@Subtr3y it's right hand drive
Great 991 S review! Yeah - the world's finest sportscar. Has this one got the stock exhaust (not sports)?
excellent video by the way. not too comprehensive but a sensory feast! great videography! @autoexpress
@BGBranko Because it is?
4:55 what a magnificent way to start the day
@Subtr3y What do you mean?
Whats the song at 4:00?
Ok if anyone else is looking i found it after shazaming probably 10 times. Its "Transmundane" by Network Music Ensemble :D
i think it fits to a porsche like no other color.
@TheJoeMB Porsche charges extra for everything
This dorkus malorkus can drive! Thank goodness the dude from the Jag review didn't screw this one up.
this guy has a hard on for 911's... great review, great car, but he had no criticisms at all. forgive me if i am wrong but a review is supposed to weigh the good and bad against each other and come to a verdict. yes he mentioned the lack of feel in the electrochromatic (if that's the proper term) steering, but he still sounded very biased.
i prefer the new boxster, looks so much nicer and who really needs all that power day to day?! great car though
yet there arent exactly that many colors that would fit one nicely. the only good color that would like nice is white though only in the carrera and s model but the yellow does look nice.... or cheesy
Now that is a proper test drive and review! Fantastic car :)
lol 2:40 is same place as where topgear does some of its shooting
what car is this? 00:45
Awesome drift on slow-motion!
@TheJoeMB I think you mean Matt Damon. And yes i agree, even though he never reviews cars.
what a fine piece of engineering
That is a great grey sweater you are wearing and i love what you have done with your hair. You need to change the camera position to focus on a driving perspective and less on the driver. We don't need to see him to hear him.
Flat 6? not Vee 6
Fantastic soundtrack great review. He's way better than Matt whoever he is.
People deny that the porsche is one of the best but the truth is, once a new one comes, the whole world wants to know how it is :))
fantastic review!
I got nothing but love for the 911s
PDK is great, but I got bored and went back to a manual.
Great review
Another very nice review! :-)
Such a good video. Im late for work now.
His last comment is all that matters - the world's finest sports car.
Enough said!
great review. i think that with the increasing 'importance' of aerodynamics, we often forget the beautiful that these cars once held
Great vid!
it's weird how much better this car looks against the 997, even if they didn't change much in design.
@dummybas That's the model...
Hate that noise :/ Dunno why, but it sounds like someone's dropping iron fillings into a 60's washing machine... give me the Maserati 4.7l V8 any day of the week.
Another review said feeling was 'numb'
Better looking than I imagined
Well done - even if not as well done as the piece of Chris Harris...
CANNOT WAIT FOR THE TURBO
I playd the video bak frm 7:35 6 times to hear the music frm the engine
I went to whales once, in a Porsche 911, though about 2 hours into the adventure, the coastguard advised me on using a submarine in the future.
I love the 991.1 Carrera S
you should see blue on porsche
@TheClubshaker I feel the same.
@Mejevoli Nobody denies that Porsche is one of the best, and very often the best. Only those who know nothing about cars, but their opinion is irrelevant.
Very nice car!
@LamboGallardo560 oh ok.. thanx for the info..:)
That's because there is little to dislike about that car.. drive one..
SOLD!
ya, sorry my mistake, your right flat 6
Porsche has really outdone themselves... and as far as the EPS feel, that's simply a software configureable problem. Porsche and the company they bought their EPS through have chosen for it to feel that way to appease MOST drivers.
