    Excellent review! The Hisense U8K is the best value budget TV hands down and provides 75-90% of what most people need. Any comparisons to other TV videos will be greatly appreciated.

    I have fomo about this tv. If later on, the 55in goes down to $649 i will most likely get it to replace a 2017 samsung tv in my bedroom. I think mini leds are fading out as high end flagship tvs and I have Samsung qled and a qd oled, but I missed out on the mini leds and this one is rated pretty well against Samsung mini leds.
    The Hisense tvs sell out pretty fast I have noted over the last couple of years.
    Thanks for this video KG. I wanted to see this.
    P.S. 😊can you get Hisense to give me one of these?

    This to me has been one of the 2 for best bang for your buck tv's in 2023. The other being the qm8. I think most if not all of the reviews ive seen on these 2 heads up the qm8 was the pick. What's your opinion Twkg? Would you buy a qm8 at 1799 over the u8k at 2199 and would you purchase either over the qn90c at 2599? In your opinion whats the best bang for your buck you would suggest when it comes to mini led? I am looking and id like to stay around 2500ish. My big thing is why pay so much more if its not worth it or is it? It does give me some pause to buy a tcl because of the quality control and the failures i've read about. Id like to keep the tv for atleast 5years and i mainly just watch TH-cam, Plex, Amazon, Discovery+
    I dont do cable tv. I just discovered your channel the other day you put out great content and your opinion is very much appreciated. Thanks and I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas 🍻

    I would definitely say one thing, though Hisense UH series TV is not bad. I had the U8H until two accidents with the TV. This is within one year of owning the TV, and I had a 32 inch 2009 TV. The difference is night and day. I really don't want to be watching TV on a 32-inch TV from 2009, and I definitely am looking at the U8K 65-inch as my replacement for my U8H which one in the trash few weeks ago because of the panel was damaged because of two accidents and oh by the way the panel was perfect no dirty screen effect but now I'm hoping this new one don't have it on the first try. On top of that, we have the 2024 Olympics, so their a good reason to upgrade.

      If money is no object, the S90C by far, not only for its black levels, but also if you've had an OLED before, you may notice blooming and motion. Additionally, I feel that you wouldn't need the extra brightness unless your room is very bright at a certain time of day.

    The 75" version of the U8K has an ADS Pro panel which might solve your viewing angle issue. But so far I am disappointed at the overall HDR10 brightness from HDMI external sources. I've never seen my PS5 menu so dim.

    • @jdub300x

    • @suedepup
      @suedepup 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jdub300x Really? Ok, good to know. Thanks. Just flipping between HDR on and off in the PS5 menus shows a crazy brightness difference in favor of SDR. I never felt HDR was dimmer on PS5 on my X900H. But on my U8K...let's just say I'm grateful to be in a dark room. I think even B The Installer mentioned how dim HDR was with gaming on his 75" U8K review.

    • @jdub300x
      @jdub300x 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would say the U8k HDR impact is great because the highlights are super bright. I don't know why the wording in menus look so grey. I would say for sure SDR does not have this problem. But I see similar HDR performance in my OLED

      @@redshine06 Man I'll do my best 😆. The OLED I use primarily for gaming/movies and a little TV watching. I would say my Sony is not super bright in the middle of the day but clarity is amazing on everything except sports. The Hisense is in a bright room full of windows. The clarity is one step down from my OLED but looks great for sports and movies. I've only tried a game on it once as it's not my primary gaming TV. Please also know that I am using Apple TV on my TVs and watching TV using TH-cam TV in HDR. I have not been able to figure out how to dial in a settings on my Hisense for SDR TV streaming content. But the HDR is so good that I said it is not worth the time for me to figure out.

      That’s two completely different classes of TVs. Price and worth is always hard to justify. You get really good value though with U8K.

    I own this tv, and from what i can see, the black bars practically disappear with the background at night in a dark room. Also the viewing angle doesn't start to lose picture integrity until you're sitting way off to the side. I own a big sectional, and I can fit at least 5 people on the main viewing couch, and even sitting in the corner I don't lose much quality, maybe a pinch of color vibrancy. Black levels stay black within the picture. You basically would have to be completely sideways to see the dip in quality... and who does that? Really?
