The Unstoppable Rise Of Hisense (The Antithesis To TCL)

  • Over the past 10 years, TCL has taken the world by storm with their massive 100-inch+ TVs at mind-bendingly low prices. But, there’s another player that has also eaten up a bunch of TV market share from the shadows and that’s none other than Hisense. Hisense and TCL are both Chinese TV giants but the road to the top was completely different for either company. Hisense has been in the TV industry since the early 1970s. In fact, they were forced to make TVs and learn Western manufacturing methods by the Chinese government. This naturally gave them a headstart within the Chinese market but it took them decades to actually be competitive within western markets. This video explains Hisense’s long journey to the top and whether the shadow giant can eventually displace TCL as the new TV king.

I only buy hisense, I bought one couple years ago when i first moved out on my own and got my first apartment, and after a couple months, a storm came through a messed the TV up. I called hoping they'd help, but I figured they wouldn't. Initially they said they couldnt but after explaining the situation i was in to the rep, to my surprise, he told me to send it in (they gave me a shipping label), and they'll replace it.
Pretty sure it was the reps call whether they'd warranty it or not but due to him helping me in a tough spot, every tv I bought after is a hisense.
P.s. the replacement tv lasted 7 years before I sold it (I was still working fine) because I was moving and couldn't take it with me

DUDE. LOOK UP “Hisense U8K” “Hisense U8H”. U will be shocked. Those are NOT rokkus. The hype they have because NOT cuz they are cheap. Their Android/ Google panels have been competing with SONY /Samsung /LG flagship last 5 yrs. Hisense LED CRUSH SONY LED 4 yr in a row.
GLOBAL OLED/WOLED price took SKY diving last year first time 8 yrs because Hisenes TCL flagship panels quietly caught up to OLED n surpass OLED image but at Fraction of cost.
U will have to see it to belive it. Like they are BMW Mecedes level image but in like Toyota price. Its INSANE. I had $5000 tv before , n the Hisense tv i paid $1000 for 55, $1450 for 65” Measure up THAT premium visual. They ahve like Mid range price but have like $3000+ visuals.

My wife and I are Chinese students who immigrated to US. In our house, we have the 75" $4000+ Samsung 8K OLED in the our master bedroom. This is where my wife and I relax and watch TV 99% of the time, so we went and got the best. There are also Vizio and 2 TCL 65" ones (1 in the mancave, living room and play room). Basically TCL and Hisense are very affordable TV that's good enough for most uses, especially good when they users are accident prone kids. Even if the kids break all 3 of those somehow, it still won't be cost more than $1200.

No you don't have a 75" $4000+ Samsung 8K OLED tv, because there is no such thing and never was.
      You are confused.
What you are talking about is a QLED Samsungs Tv with the fake name QLED branding, to trick customers like you to believe that what they bought really is an OLED panel.
It is not. It is an regular old LCD TV.
When you finally buy an actual OLED you will understand the difference.

Hisense U8 series match $5000 Tv I had before. Before U having ANY of those premium LEDS. Stop giving pp lecture of “OH OLED IS BETTER” like how those GAS ⛽️ car owners group up shading the Tesla. OLED's come in 55" 65" 77" and 83".... No 75". Because that is how the mother glass is cut.

As it was over 12 months, no warranty claim could be made. Asked several local repair shops about cost to fix, but they advised that no Hisense LCD panels were available, so they could not repair. I received a full refund from my cc company as they double the warranty of all purchases. I doubt I'll buy another Hisense product.

If u bought an LG in 2012, Depends what model how MUCH u spent. Its Most Likely NOT a LG, but a Sharp TV.
2010-2011 GLOBAL TV market 100% LED TVS were PRODUCED by 1 single company SHARP tV.
All the LEDs even reach into 2012 were SHARP TV but putting on LG SONY Samsung Logos.
Hisense bought Hisense in 2015 n still has most of Sharp patterns. If u get a SHARP LED SONY LED today u might see their Panels look worse after that. Their Own LED technology was not the same. Especially SONY has significantly inferior pestel color on EVERYTHING cuz their own LED use Phosphors blue light as Main light . The Hisense TCL Rokus are their cheap low end. Their GOOGLE/android Panel has Crushing LG SONY leds for 5 years. That LG completely GAVE UP producing better LEDS, they only re launched the same model the previous year the year before. Because their TVs couldnt compete.

That's a VERY different scenario from when a company is making their OWN products in their factory. When they are doing that, they can do whatever they want - and they can also skip/leave out whatever steps they like as well. This is why people are greatly mistaken when they say, "Oh, all TVs basically come out of five or six primary global factories so they are really all the same." No, they aren't. DO NOT buy cheap electronics. If they aren't made properly (or are just cheap and have cut corners), they can literally catch fire and burn your house down. Not worth it to save $50 on a TV. Buy from a reputable brand. This is especially true of power supplies, including internal power supplies for your PC, or devices that have built in power supplies like TVs. Even cheap phone chargers (the wall warts, not the cords) are power supplies and can be dangerous. Avoid no-name knockoff brands from Amazon and even be wary of buying name-brand stuff from third party sellers and no-name websites because there ARE counterfeits out there that say they're a name brand product and even have the logo on it but they're counterfeit.
