Just bought one a few days ago. I would thoroughly recommend it, well made, impressed. How long it lasts I'll wait and see! Don't expect it to be any worse than all the Dyson's I've had. Had a Dyson DC01, absolutely brilliant, now got a Dyson Animal, quality appalling. Don't get me started on the Dyson handhelds. I've had three, each one failed within 18 months, battery died each time. 2 - 3 times more expensive than this but very poor quality so avoid like the plague. Battery for this guaranteed for 3 years, Dyson's is 1 year. Here's hoping with the Vax.

I came here because I couldn't open the filter. You point out the filter and say, "I've not opened this yet" - and put it down! Also wanted to know what the flashing plus button means.. but nothing. Any ideas?

You'll probably find your vax battery gives up in less than 18 months. Mine did!

If it flashes it means it's broken. Filter just opens by pulling it
Avoid these vacuum cleaners, poor build quality and two packed up working in 12 months.
